Mythology is a bronze-copper glittery shade. Prefer to wear it when the weather is warm. It may take many applications to get your desired look. Seems to be more glitter than eyeshadow & wears off easily or you may get that glitter in your eye so make sure you definitely wear primer! To be honest, I use a stroke of this as a bronzer more so than an eyeshadow.

I don't think i would buy this again. My mythology is really chalky and dry, I bought it in the store because it is a really beautiful color, but when you apply it you have a lot of fall out to my personal opinion. And it is a lot of glitter. Maybe that's just me because I like soft and matt eyeshadows more but I think the glitter is just to much.

This is a gorgeous, shimmery golden-bronze that I think would be flattering on everyone. I also think it could be easily duped, but I am too lazy and attached to wander away and find that dupe. Love this.

When I was at the MAC counter I loved this color and just had to purchase it. Sadly, the one I bought was dry and chalky. It has very little pigmentation and I really had to pile it on. Hopefully it was just a bad batch. I'll be returning it :(

Such a gorgeous color! its kind of a coppery/brownish/pinkish color. It doesn't pick up too well on my brush.. but other than that, it's really nice!

I recently took the plunge into mac after dabbling a bit in make up and walking past the MAC counter at my local mall and longingly staring at all the pretty colors. So, as a treat to myself I recently bought a MAC 15 pro palette. I researched and looked at what seemed like a million swatches online of colors that would look nicely with my dark green eyes and fair skin. One color that I heard rave reviews about was MAC Mythology. On the MAC website Mythology is described as copper and is a lustre. I'm not sure if it the formula is off on the one I received but I find it dry with little pay off and excessive amounts of fallout. It also shows up with a slight pink undertone, and I often find myself using Expensive Pink (also MAC) instead. They are both extremely similar on my skin and Expensive Pink is more creamy with a much better pay off.

A perfect mix of copper and brown in a very easy to work with texture. It brings out the green in my hazel eyes but isn't outrageous or difficult to pull off. I use this for my everyday look all over the lid and lined halfway under the eye with a bit of orb e/s to soften the edges and shroom as an inner corner highlight. It really makes my eyes pop. I think it's a nice subdued alternative to coppering (which I also love, but not for every day)

This is by far one of the worst mac eye shadows I own. 1: The fall out is outrageous. Regardless of the amount you put on, eye shadow flakes will fall. 2: There is far more flecks of glitter than color. It takes few strokes to get the first sign of color, and when you start to see progress, half the color ends up under your eye from fall out later on. 3: I have never found this eye shadow to last. With/without primer, the color has zero staying power. I put this again down to more glitter than color. Its not worth the money by any means. The color looks beautiful in the pot, but in the pot only

I use this Mythology so much! It's always empty in my pallet! It's beautiful, easy to use, and very forgiving if I'm in a rush, and have to do my quicky 5 minute version.
Versatile enough to go with a lot of my other colors, and strong enough on it's own that I can use it by itself and still look very put together. I have medium to tan skin (depending on the time of year it is) and it always complements my complexion. Awesome color!

Simply way too chunky glittery for me. Such a shame, too, as it's a very lovely color in the pan, and, from testing it on my hand, seemed like it would be more blendable. But I wound up looking like a first-grader's craft project gone bad. Couldn't wait to get this stuff off my eyelids.

I love this shadow on blue eyes! The orange undertones really make blue and green eyes pop. This isn't quite as pigmented as some of my other mac shadows, but for a luster formula it's fabulous. It's slightly sheer but still looks stunning on the lid

I purchased MAC's Mythology eyeshadow instead of Amber Lights or another orangey color. I am blonde with blue eyes. Mythology is an orange/beige color, a perfect shadow to bring out light eyes. I wear it everyday and like the shine, it is not boring yet is a serious color. It gives a sparkle but can be worn to work. I pair it with MAC's black liquid eyeliner, MAC's Sable in the crease and Shroom as a highlighter. Works perfectly for me every time I wear it.

I had to knock off one lippie because of the incredible amount of micro glitter fallout. It'sa beautiful color with a coppery-pink shimmer. The glitter isn't too bad after I give it a quick tap off the brush. It's just that as the day progresses, tiny little glitters seem to attract my eye. Given the fact that I have extremely sensitive eyes, it irritated them. It's still a gorgeous color for my NC 20 skin tone. I wouldn't buy this again because of the glitter fallout. It's also pretty close to dupeable with one of Nyx's jumbo eye pencils in French Fries.

I love this product. I normally do not like shimmery eyeshadows, but this one is Okay in my book. Will buy again. I love this eyeshadow. Looks great on dark skin.

This is a gorgeous copppery pink colour, and looks lovely against my NC30 skin tone and hazel eyes. Its fairly subtle even though it is shimmery, so great to wear in the daytime, and the texture is very easy to blend.

I personally LOVE Mythology and can't say enough good things about this color. It is comparable to Expensive Pink in some lights, but there isn't that duochrome effect that EP has. There is a lot of sparkle in this shadow and minimal fallout. If you pack your brush well, it does help to eliminate much of the fallout. This is an especially awesome shade for ladies with blue and green eyes as the pinky orange contrast makes your eyes come alive.
Some of the ways I like to wear Mythology include ...
(for images of these looks, you may visit my website at www.myeyeshadowconsultant.com):
- Mythology on lid, Smut in crease
- Mythology on inner lid, Amber Lights on outer lid, Bronze in crease
- Mythology on lid, Cranberry in crease, Heritage Rouge in outer v
- Mythology on lid, Swiss Chocolate in crease, Mulch in outer v
- Mythology on lid, Goldmine in crease, Amber Lights to outer v <----- beautiful combo!
- Mythology on lid, Antiqued in crease, Coppering over Antiqued
- Mythology on lid, Heritage Rouge in outer v

Love the colour, a frosty copper with peachy undertones and gold shimmer which makes my green eyes sparkle. Being a lustre finish I definitely notice fall out, but this can be minimized by tapping off excess from the brush, packing on the colour versus sweeping motions, and using a an eye shadow base (I use paint pots and pack on the colour before the paint sets to a drier finish). I normally wear this on the lid or on the lower lash line and this shade pairs well with many neutrals, tans, browns, and bronze shadows in my collection. I really like wearing this shade during the fall and winter months.

This is quite a versatile, everylook for everyday eyeshadow.
It looks fabulous on the lids (although if you are pale never wear it without a crease color of somesort) with coppers, purples, pinks and neutrals in the crease.
It also looks great on the lower lashline for extra attention to blue and green eyes, and you can also wear it in your crease.
As for the fallout I haven't had any yet, and I have dry lids and wear a paintpot.
Overall great color but only 4 lippies because you cannot wear this on it's own.

One of my favorite eyeshadows!!its a lustre and like most lustres they are shimmery, have fall out and have to work with which i dont really mind because i use fix+ and the outcome is gorgeous. I usually pair it up with sable in the crease and with mythology in the lid and it looks gorgeous, it makes my brown eyes pop out.
