I have sensitive, acne/clog prone, combo skin. I was hesitant of trying this at first because I thought it would be too rich. It is definitely too much (ie makes me too shiny) for me for daytime use, but it is the perfect night time moisturizer. It's very creamy and my skin drinks this stuff up. I use tazorac at night which can dry my skin out and this makes sure my face stays hydrated. I don't notice any smell and I love the squeeze tube. It doesn't break me out and softens and smooths my skin. I used to mix argan oil in with this (I stopped cause the argan oil broke me out, boo) and it was a heavenly combination. I'm sure I'll try out a few other night time moisturizers but for now this is the best I've ever used.

Wonderful night cream! I bought this in a whim because winter is here and my skin always gets parched. It is a thicker unscented cream which takes a few minutes to sink in. However when I wake up I have zero signs of dryness. I also use this as an eye cream. It hasn't caused me any breakouts (I have been through one tube) but my skin isn't sensitive. My one main gripe is that I seem to run out of this faster than any other night cream...and it is a 2 ounce bottle. Maybe because I sometimes tend to slather it on. But it's a good price at under $20 for two ounces, but like I said I think I may be using it too much. It's also kind of a pain that you can only get it online and since the tube is opaque (for good reasons though) it is hard to decipher when you need to reorder. Either way I have bought and will buy this again! This was actually my first purchase from PC - and I have tried many other products (not all great!)...this one is by far my best.

I put yes to repurchase because this is a really great product. In reality, I do like the Skin Recovery moisturizer better so I will keep buying that one instead. However this is a great option if that one doesn't work for you.

Background: I have normal/combo (slightly dry/slightly oily depending on season) acne-prone skin that has dramatically improved since I've been more diligent about potentially irritating ingredients (ie alcohol). I don't have sensitive skin in the conventional sense - my skin is very tolerant of products. However, I would breakout consistently using anything even just remotely not suggested for acne-prone skin. Before buying a product I refer to beautypedia.com, the cosmetic ingredient dictionary (on same site), and MUA! My acne used to be the painful bumps under the skin that would take weeks to surface. Since using Paula's Choice products I only get the occassional spot. My current skincare regimen is used in tandem with regular workouts. For me, this alleviated all hormonal breakouts (because working out balances your hormones, and sweating changes the PH of your skin - don't know if the PH part matters for acne though).

Usage: I use this mainly in the winter time since it is a richer lotion consistency (not as rich as Skin Recovery moisturizer, though). I only use it at night and tend to spot treat dry areas and use it around my eyes. I don't slather my face in this unless my skin is particularly parched after a drying treatment, for example. Even then, I only ever use a thin layer of product.

Results: This helps soothe redness, but not as well as the Skin Recovery moisturizer. It doesn't cause me to break out, and it is generally effective at alleviating dryness and flakey skin. I have a dry eye area, and I get dry on my chin where I tend to breakout (and over-treat). It does give my skin a bit of a boost, and prevents it from looking dull or parched.

This isn't quite as rich as the Skin Recovery (SR) moisturizer. I like the SR better. This Moisture Boost cream isn't quite as effective at soothing inflammation or treating very dry skin. I don't really need a heavier moisturizer like this except for treating the rare very dry skin days, so I'll stick with the regular SR and the SR treatment mask (as an overnight moisturizer treatment) for those extra hydration nights. I don't like the Skin Balancing Moisture gel or the Hydralight Lotion and I am acne-prone, combo/slightly oily (the target consumer for those products). I find neither of those are moisturizing enough. For summer, my sunscreen/moisturizer suffices for the day, and the Resist moisturizers (prefer the new Clear one) suffice at night.

This is a good effective product that I might repurchase just for variety. It is definitely worthy of repurchasing, but for my needs the Skin Recovery moisturizer is preferred.

This product is $18.95 for 2oz. I buy my Paula's Choice products in multiples and only on sale. I wouldn't buy this regular priced because of the preferences I've already mentioned. Scout the website because they always have rotating sales, and look for online discount codes because I've doubled up on savings before.

This is an amazing moisturizer. I only use it on my skin when my skin is REALLY dried out and flaking. It sinks into my skin so well and makes it feel so soft and subtle. I love love. I had to choose between the Skin Recovery and the moisutre Boost and I ended up choosing the skin Recovery, Only because whenever my skin gets dry, it also becomes red and irritated and the Skin Recovery does a better job of calming my skin down. I don't know why I'm reacting to most of Paula's products now. By reading the products function and ingredients, everything looks so amazing to be put on skin. After trying this the first time, my skin reacts so badly. my facial skin becomes so irritated and with red patches...feel so depressed how my skin looks the next morning!!! Have to use steroid cream to calm down the reaction. Sorry I won't recommend this for allergic skin type. It may be too many ingredients on the products!!

This lotion is a dream! I normally hate lotion and just hate applying it, but I love this. The consistency isn't greasy at all and my skin just soaks it up. Being that it's from Paula, it's loaded with antioxidants and everything your skin could ask for. Really, really amazing stuff.

The texture of this cream amazed me it has a feel to it I have never experience before. I have combo skin and this cream it´s not too greasy nor shiny just perfect specially when my skin is dryer and needs an extra boost of moisture, it leaves my skin well nurtured and looked after and it´s gentle for around my eyes. I tried 2 samples and I was so thrilled I just ordered a full size bottle =)

I absolutely loved this product...until I got to the last little bit, then it made my face burn like mad! I have been told that I had sensitive skin by an esthetician, but I have not been sensitive to very many products (even some of the more heavily fragranced ones did not bother). I believe that her products may have a problem holding together after they have been opened for some time. I would only use this product in the winter months when I needed a better evening moisturizer and I am sure I bought this last year (winter of 2008). I didn't mind the fragrance (the natural fragrance of the product - no fragrance added), I liked the texture (though it left my skin looking shiny), and I loved that it has antioxidants and cell-communicating ingredients. Unfortunately for me I didn't use it quickly enough and I will not be repurchasing it. I'm trying Elta's Lite moisturizer (3 oz tube) for my face at the moment and it seems to fit the bill for me (I apply it over PC's RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer). I think this product will be fine for most people who will use up the product in a given season. I like many of PC's products, but this one was a bit of a disappointment.

The full name of this product is Moisture Boost Hydrating Treatment Cream. It has a creamy texture and spreads easily, but it's not quite moisturizing enough for my dry skin. My skin is also sensitive, and it left it feeling a little itchy.

Blah… I don't really love the texture of this cream. It feels like I'm applying a mixture of diluted Vaseline on my face. Figures, because Petrolatum is right in the beginning of the ingredient list. I don't avoid it, but works best on my lips and random dry spots. My skin feels too suffocated with this cream, because it just seems to sit on the surface of my skin instead of absorbing. The smell is also quite weird, but not so much that it bothers me badly. I have a few samples and I’ve been applying it at night. I don’t wake up with exceptionally good-looking skin. Surely I don’t expect miracles, but with some moisturisers my skin feels exceptionally smooth and looks lovely in the morning. I prefer using something that I actually ENJOY using.

Absolutely love this, it's definitely Paula's best moisturizer for normal/dry skin! The texture is thick, but very nice. You only need a little bit to cover your whole face, so the tube lasts a long time. Most importantly, it's got better ingredients than practically all the department store moisturizers, for a much, much lower price! Finally, the packaging is stable for the antioxidants in this. Perfect, couldn't ask for more.

I don't know why I ever switch from this moisturizer to try other ones.
This is the perfect night cream for my dryish combo skin.
I like that it's in a tube and the price is right.

I have highly reactive sensitive combination skin and this is one of my hands-down favorites for moisturuzers. I use it around my eyes at night and all over my face (except my nose which is stil pretty oily) over my BHA product (1% BHA gel or Lotion, I switch between the two) and my skin is petal soft in the morning. It's chock full of antioxidants and is fragrance free. If you have dry skin or combination skin, or your skin is changing as mine is now that I am well into my 40's, definitely consider this option. I'll definitely continue to purchase!

This was just an average moisterizer for me. It didn't really cause any adverse reaction, but i just remember feeling like my pores were becoming congested after a couple of months of using this along with the cleanser and toner from same line. I also used it under my eyes, and didn't find it anywhere near as moisterizing as i wanted it to be. However, if you have reactive sensitive skin like me, and have a hard time finding products that agree with your skin, than I would recommend that you try this and see if it works for you.

I'm in love with this stuff!!! I use it as my daily eye cream and it works beautifully! It gives just the right moisture and my makeup (including concealer) looks great. I also use it every other night (alternating with retinal products) all over my face. Leaves my skin soft, supple, and fresh. I love that it contains antioxidants, absorbs quickly, and has no offensive odour. A great product!

Love this stuff, as I do most of PC products. I have oily skin with maddening dry patches and now, in my early 30s, I'm starting to notice a few fine lines forming. I use this sparingly due to my tendency toward oiliness and only at night -- around the eyes, along the top of my forehead, alongside my mouth and on dry flaky patches, avoiding my acne-prone zones. I top this with PC superantioxidant concentrate. My skin is noticeably smoother in the mornings -- the lines are still there, natch, but fainter and the skin tone is more even. In the winter, I sometimes apply a little bit of EVOO on top as well. It's light in feel but still pretty emollient. Try it!
