A very fresh marine frag. that's subtly floral...I found the freshness piercing and nauseating...the marine notes dominated the floral notes and that ruined it for me...I am a girly girl and prefer my perfumes to be at least somewhat pretty or girly...I don't want to walk around smelling like fresh ocean air or an air freshener.

I love this fragrance. It is similar to Issey, but slightly warmer and softer. It isn't as biting. It also reminds me of Sunflowers, but cleaner and not as sweet or strong. The fade-down is beautiful. It reminds me of a clean sunny day!

I may be biased because my name is actually Laila, but this is hands down my favorite perfume. I mean, we already share the same name so it was guaranteed to be special to me when I ordered it online before even sampling. ;)
Laila is very clean, fresh, and flowery but unique. I've been wearing it as a signature scent for about two years, since my senior year of high school. It's surprising how many compliments I've gotten on it- from English teachers to especially men! So many people have asked me what I'm wearing, even in the middle of the day (when I apply it bright & early at 6am!)
I'm halfway through my second bottle, and I plan to repurchase again when I run out. I love this perfume, and always will :)

Got a sample from Nordstrom. When I smelled Laila in the store, it smelled like L'eau de Issey from Issey Miyaki, which I already own. At home I sprayed Laila on my left wrist and L'eau de Issey on my right wrist and wore them for a bit, sniffing each every so often. They are virtually identical, with Laila being perhaps a teeny bit less melon-y.

Like many others, I came across this scent at Epcot Centre almost 10 years ago... I was just a teenager then and could not afford to buy this then.... The fragrance always lingered in my mind though...

Since my name is Laila too, my boyfriend decided to surprise me and gifted this to me on Valentines day and I was beyond thrilled!!!! I have used it for about 2 months now and I must say I absolutely LOVE this fragrance... So many people have complimented me on it too... I will definitely buy again!!!

Laila has been one of my favorite perfumes for years! Its a nice you can wear every day scent. I'm sure this has been in my rotation for about 10 years. Its just a nice perfect white floral. And come to think about it I am getting pretty low on my bottle, time for a new one!

For being on the average side of expensive. This makes a lovely addition as a day perfume. I love the fresh clean scent and hint of watermelon. A marine floral, it's pretty delicious and not too sickening for everyday use. A big favorite among guys, since I get so many compliments when I wear it.

I bought this for my Scandinavian grandmother who happens to adore perfume. After she died, I inherited her perfume collection (mostly built by me!) This was absolutely lovely on her became one of my very first scrubbers (I can put up with almost anything, because I think that most things have elements I like, even if I don't love the overall perfume). It's overpoweringly green and suprisingly sharp and cold. The watery note clung to me in a way I absolutely hated and could not wait to wash it off.

Having said that, I have to repeat: I LOVED it on my grandmother. I loved it at Norstroms when I first stumbled across the bottle. I loathe it on me.

Slightly cool aquatic floral and overall just kind of samey, yet very pretty and somehow perfectly suited to my Nordic friend in a blond-blue eyed way. Nothing I would wear, but pleasant nonetheless.

I also found this fragrance in the Norway pavillion at Epcot. I had been looking for a signature fragrance prior to my Disney World trip, but had given up on finding anything. I didn't know that the World Showcase even had fragrances in their stores, so when I saw Lalia early one morning, I was delighted. I sprayed a bit of the perfume in the pink bottle on my arm to enjoy the rest of the day. I could still smell the fragrance on my arm that evening and knew I had to have it. I ended up purchasing the EDP in the blue bottle due to cost. I also purchased the matching lotion.

I find the scent to be very fresh, but also feminine. I don't find the EDP to be sharp or headache enducing as I have read mentioned by others. The lotion, however, did give me a slight headache upon applying it to my hands.

Next time I buy, I may go for the perfume in the pink bottle because I feel as though the EDP doesn't linger as long as I would like it to.

A very fresh and clean floral with a hint of sweet watermelon. 'Clean' types of perfumes aren't really my thing, so this is a scent that I'll pass on. It's relatively well blended, though, so I would recommend this to women who like that sort of fragrance. This perfume doesn't last really long on my skin -- maybe a few hours or so.

A beautiful, very clean floral. Wears somewhat like a lily of the valley scent, but this is much more interesting and satisfying. I often find aquatic scents sharp and high-pitched, but not this, either on skin or on clothing. For those who prefer warmer, sweeter scents: I accidentally layered this with a bit of vanilla on one wrist (where yesterday's scent had rubbed off on the edge of my desk), and Laila is also lovely layered with vanilla. EDIT: I had to tone down my original gushing review. Having worn this several more times (the vial has lasted a long time!), I have to say that it is sometimes just a bit sharp. It's partly my own chemistry--florals that are sweeter, richer, softer are the ones that wear best on me.

I wish I discovered Laila earlier. I passed it over when choosing my bridal perfume, and returned to it earlier this year, when someone mentioned how much they loved it.

I think Laila is a classic white floral - nothing cloying about it at all, and love the suggestion of creaminess from the lily. The watermelon is not juicy, sweet or pitched at all - I envision a perfectly ripe green and white striped watermelon resting in its green leaves in a well tended garden. This is the only way I'll ever like watermelon, either in fragrance or as a food.

Definitely in my top 20.

All I know is that when I wear it, everybody, from my husband (who can't smell) to my co-workers to strangers will stop and say, "what do you have on? you smell really good." It's not overpowering, won't out-smell everyone in the room but is enough to make a statement. I love it.

This reminded me far too much of Issey Miyake. Not a bad thing but someone is the copy cat in this duo. Light, refreshing but the scent doesn't last long.

I've worn this consistently for 2 years, since my teenage son walked out of the norwegian gift shop at Disneyworld and said 'it smells good in there.' This from a kid who gagged at every single fragrance i've ever tried since the day he was born. I've repurchased this multiple times because this is the only fragrance I've ever worn that lots of people, especially men, compliment me on. It starts out sharp, then just dries down to a lovely fresh green-floral scent. just lovely. Nice bonus, it reminds me of Disneyworld, and wonderful memories of my children.

This is the only fragrance where I have actually finished a full bottle!! A good friend of mine introduced me to this perfume - she just smelled SOOO amazing, I had to ask her what she was wearing. She smelled clean, floral...with a touch of fruity-ness. I didn't know that even existed in a scent, and at the time...it was exactly what I was looking for. I take off one lippie however, because sometimes...it gives me a headache. All in all, a great fragrance...and I get many compliments on this from men.

I have been loyally wearing Laila as one of my signature scents for four years. A slightly older, well traveled and sophisticated ex bf had introduced me to the scent by purchasing it for me claiming that it was the most amazing fragrance for women he'd ever smelled. I fell head over heels in love with Laila and will never grow tired of it.

Lalia is simply gorgeous. Fresh, floral, watery, elegant, clean, soft, refreshing, alluring, unique and feminine. It truly is like a blend of blossoming wildflowers, the sea, fjords, snow and fresh mountain air which is what I would anticipate being surrounded by in Norway which is a country with unmatched beauty and a uniqueness all its own.
