I've been looking for a decent SPF lip moisturizer for the past few months and have gone from Chapstik, Nivea, Burt's Bees, and some even more less known local brands, but nothing compares to the quality I expect from Blistex. I've always loved their Lip Medex product as a regular moisturizer, but finally have something for going outdoors to protect my lips.

DCT has a bit of flavour to it without packing it to the brim like most Nivea balms do, and glides really smoothly, all the while absorbing quickly in to the lips. It's sticky enough to let you know it's still there and working, without being a hassle. The pleasant smell is a plus, too :)

Definitely would buy again, though it is a bit pricier on the lip balm side. The container itself is very cute, but I've always likes pots better than sticks.

A drugstore gem! This is the ultimate fix for dry, chapped lips. I like to layer it over a coating of Vitamin E for even more moisturizing power (though I do not recommend doing so if you are going to be in the sun). It does have a bit of a funny smell, but I find that easy to overlook considering how great this product is. Thank you, Blistex! :)

I've been using this product for over 12 years. I keep trying other lip balms just to mix it up and yet I keep reaching for this one. I think I have one on my night stand, my office desk, my coffee table, car and all my purses.

Its great as a base for lipstick/lipgloss

The packaging is.. okay. i wish it also came in a tube. never really liked dipping my fingers in it. but I've gotten used to it.

This is definitely a permanent product that i cannot live without. Yes sounds extreme but trust me you can get addicted.

As for price its reasonable but I usually wait until Shoppers Drug mart have it on sale and then I stock up.

I decided to try Blistex DCT because I always need lip balm during the day. It has an SPF of 20. I like that. After a few days of using though I noticed the cool, tingly sensation wears off almost immediately and my lips start to feel like they are burned! I think I might be allergic to the sunscreen ingredients in this one :-(

This is a secret lip plumper + incredibly hydrating lip balm/ non surgical lip job in one. Whenever I use this people say "you have such nice plump lips" In reality, I have small lips. I think that when the lips are moisturized and conditioned, they look way more plump. Best cosmetic ever! and i only paid $3.

Okay, This product works great at first. tingles and feels refreshing. Then it just stays on your lips. Doesn't do anything at all. I would buy it only for the SPF protection. If I had to I would buy it again.

As a brand Blistex is great, but as this product is concerned ill pass. I like a thick textured balm. To me this is almost a greasy oily feel and has a funny taste and smell to it.

This product has just enough menthol but not too much-- just enough so that it tingles a tiny bit (a lot less than other blistex products). The taste isn't overwhelming with petroleum so you can reapply if you'd like. This looks pretty on the lips, unlike a lot of hardcore lip treatments... but it still works like one. I've never been in love with lip product 'pots' but I can deal with this one considering the product itself is worth it. Compared to blistex medicated lip ointment, this is better for day-use and I'd use the medicated lip ointment before bed or at home (due to the white color).

This is wonderful at keeping my lips from being chapped, especially during the cold winter season. It is also good because it is transparent I can wear it under lipsticks and lip-glosses. The case tends to crack on the lid after I've had it for about a month but since it does not have a twist-able applicator, I never feel like I've wasted any lip balm because the applicator doesn't break off.

I love this stuff! I've been using since I was a kid because my Mom always carried it in her purse. I have the most chappiest lips that ever chapped and this sh!t knocks them out by morning when I use it as a night treatment. It also works well during the day and under lipstick. I like to use it alone because it gives a nice dewy look to the lips and doesn't feel waxy like most stick balms. I even pat a bit around my nostrils when they get raw from blowing my nose. The SPF 20 is just a bonus.

I'm not that big of a fan of blistex but this product i love. Its the only menthol product thst my lips can handle. Its slightly thick which is great for putting a good barrier on lips. It tingles a little but without the burning sensation that i get with most menthol balms. It keeps my otherwise dry, scaly lips soft and smooth and the spf is a plus. I love using this and msinly use it when my lips need some tlc.

The pot doesn't bug me at all so I'm not going to knock off lippies for that. I actually think I'm preferring this over my trusted 'ol carmex jar...which is saying a lot since I LOVE carmex. It actually smells better than carmex and I grabbed this for so so so cheap at my local drugstore [it was on sale on top of having a coupon so I actually picked it up for ~21 cents LOLS]

Anyway, moisturizing power kicks in quickly. It isn't greasy and it's everything I need and want in a lipbalm. The spf is a plus since my carmex jar doesn't have anything the last time I checked. So if you find this on sale and are curious, go for it! You won't be disappointed :D

I use this everyday. Very moisturizing, doesn't just sit on top of lips. Also really inexpensive so that's a plus. Works well under drying lipsticks too or just repair my lips after wearing lipstick all day. Not a huge fan of the packaging, but I try my best to keep it clean so it doesn't bother me too much.

I love this stuff! It moisturizes so well!! I can't get enough of how soft this has made my lips! On top of that it smells delicious! It has a medicated smell (not strong like carmex) with a warm hint of vanilla! I'm not too crazy about the cap but who cares, I got it for only $1.49 at my local grocery store! I would repurchase this a thousand times over!!

i used to use this product for about 2 years. i love the burning sensation but only felt that this product worked well when you were wearing it, and the minute it wears off lips immediately feel chaped and dry. i usually used this under lipsticks and other dry lip products so it creates a nice shine/gloss texture. However, i soon noticed that this lip balm slightly made my lips darker so i changed to burts and bees, although this product is a bit more expensive, its worth the price, burts and bees made my lips SO much more moisturized and softer. Also the packaging isnt my preference, i hate dipping my finger in makeup products due to the bacteria buildup and how it gets under my nails. id perfer if this lip balm came in a pump container or lipstick continer type.Overall, this product is alright, but not one of my perfered choices of lip balm products

5 lippies for this stuff! I love it! Love the smell. Love the hydration. Love it all. Put this on at night and your lips will feel so good in the morning! Once I had such a bad sunburn that even my lip were peeling and I tried so many different balms to try make them not feel disgusting! This was the only one that did the trick so it has been a HG product for me ever since....I'm not wild about the packaging- little bit of pain digging it out but I overlook it because the product is so amazing.

Of all the potted lip balms I've come across, Blistex Daily Conditioning Treatment (DCT) is my absolute favorite - and one that I've repurchased countless times. It provides a slightly cooling menthol effect when first applied to the lips and offers a decent wear time. The texture is on the thicker side, so I find the tasteless balm is best used as a nighttime treatment. I slather it on my lips before bedtime and, by the time I wake up in the morning, my lips are supple and utterly kissable. Lipstick glides on like a dream. SPF 20 is a bonus.

For the longest time this was my HG lip balm. It moisturized my lips like no other lip balm under $3 could do. If money is tight, then I highly recommend this lip balm.

- It really made my lips feel hydrated.
- It does not dry to a gritty/heavy feeling on my lips.
- It has a subtle gloss that was appropriate for any occasion.
- It has SPF 20.
- It's cheap and affordable!

I did not mind that it both smelled and tasted like bitter, medical ointment. I could not, however, get over the fact that it was in a tub. I keep my nails long now and this tub was just not practical. Maybe if the tub had a wider diameter, it'd be okay, but the tub was super tiny! Even when I kept my nails short I would still accidentally scrape the balm if I wasn't careful.

If I was ever in a lip emergency, I know I can count on this being at almost all drugstores and Wal-Mart, whereas my other favorites (Jack Black and C.O. Bigelow) are not so readily available. So yes, I would definitely rebuy this if I needed to!
