I can't believe the positive reviews for this. I have a full size candle. It doesn't burn evenly. Even after burning it for more than 4 hours the first time, the wax hadn't pooled across the whole surface of the candle. As for the smell, I can't smell it at all except for a vague bathroom cleaner type smell when I stick my nose in the flame. On the plus side I like the opaque white glass holder and the blue and gold etched label is classy.

I bought this in travel size (candelina) and I absolutely adore this! The scent is not overpowering and the slight citrusy scent is refreshing. It burns clean and even, no worries of smokiness at all. I would definitely repurchase this.

I bought Tocca Stella along with many other Tocca candles at a half off sale. I had never seen nor sniffed any of them.

That said, I can only say that I am not partial to the blood orange fragrance because this is my least favorite of the Tocca candles.

I must add, however; that I appreciate the craftsmanship of this item.

I have found all Tocca candles to be the most beautiful, the most natural and true candles I've ever experienced.

A Tocca candle is like a fine, classic perfume. There is no comparison between Tocca candles and inexpensive candles, which to me usually smell artificial, cloying and unappealing.

If you love the fragrance of blood orange, you'll love this candle. The throw is excellent, the burn is clean and the packaging is lovely.

I prefer the travel sizes of Tocca candles, and wish I had gone for that instead of the full size Stella. I bought it scent unsniffed, and this sweet orange scent is a bit cloying to me, and maybe even has a bit too much throw for my small apartment. For an orange scent, I think I'm going to stick to Red Flower's Italian Blood Orange.

I have been buying Tocca Stella everything for years.(candles, body wash, body lotion, laundry delicates wash)...Sephora carries the line.So does Amenwardy.com... I always have at least 4 candles on hand at all times. They smell incredible, last and last, and I guarantee anyone stopping over your house will ask "what smells so wonderful?"...I give them as gifts every Holiday Season and am a hero to those who haven't tried it before. Worth every cent.

Super-expensive (and I got mine on e-bay - Candellina size) but a gorgeous blood-orange fragrance.

So elegant and beautiful. Great packaging - but probably not worth it at full retail.

This candle just fills my room up with such a nice fresh scent that isn't too sweet nor is it too heady! Great for warm summer days, i suppose since it is a light citrus scent, the scent does not linger as much in comparison to my other candles, and for some reason this particular candle I have does not burn as evenly as my other candles, other than that the 'throw' is great and smelling it just seems to make me happy :)

This scent has truly spoiled me. I can't ever enjoy any other orange scent again because they simply make me wish they smelled more like Tocca Stella.

The candle has excellent throw, even cold, and smells just as beautiful as the crema de corpa and bagno profumato. True, it's an expensive candle, but why bother buying a lot of candles that smell just "so-so" when you can buy one that smells fabulous?

Etailers, I need a dupe of this one ASAP.

Tocca Stella smells exactly like real blood oranges, with a hint of the flower that bore the fruit. Perfect. Can't wait for Tocca to come out with the perfume version of this! Hope they don't change it or mix it up in the process, because I want an *EXACT* match. This scent is too beautiful to alter.

VERY VERY PRICEY - but a high-class, impecably packaged and DELICIOUSLY fragranced candelina. (Small size)

Nice blood-orange fragrance.

Very straight-ahead tart, sweet blood orange with *depth* (and a tiny bit of bittersweet rind thrown in), Stella will depress you because no other regular orange-based candle will ever make you happy (they'll all end up smelling like orange juice compared to Stella). It's an extremely rare candle scent that works both in the height of summer and the cold dark of winter--Stella is refreshing in the summer--the air feels cooler just smelling it. And it's deeply gourmand and holiday-like in the winter, the house feels warmer and cozier with it burning. The throw is as good as it gets--the entire living room will be filled, and it will leak into other rooms. Just sitting there unburned, you can smell its little fumes. If you're buying a gift for someone for any occassion--wedding, anniversary, housewarming, holidays or WHATEVER, this is a sure bet as a 100% winner and one that crosses many boundaries in terms of preferences. Burntime is A+, candle performance (the way it burns/soot/etc.) is an A.

Stella is a beautiful fragrance, but in this instance I am purchasing a candle and not perfume. The candle does smell lovely and it presents well in its container/lable. The problem I have is there really is little to no throw of scent when lit or afterward. I had it in a very small room and was hoping with nearly two hours of burn time I would smell something wonderful. I did not. I purchased this based on other reviews, but I wanted to add mine to the list. There are much better alternatives out there when it comes to candles.

This is a beautiful blood orange/floral scent. However, the candle's scent throw is really poor. These candles are overhyped and overpriced for what you get, IMO. Too bad, as the scent is lovely.

Love, love, love this candle!! Stella smells wonderful--fresh oranges with a bit of sweetness--I smile every time I enter the bathroom where this candle is, and I haven't even taken a match to it. Scents the room unlit, which is great!

Just a quick note to say that the large size is well worth the investment, as Stella candelina has a very limited throw. In general, however, I do like the candelina size (2.85 oz) because it is definitely a more reasonable 'small' size than the overpriced votives that are commonly sold these days.

I love this smell! I want it at my (very hypothetical) wedding. I bought the candle at Henri Bendel's on a whim and am so glad I did! (I can't say that with a lot of my impulse purchases.) The candle burns evenly and infuses the whole room and beyond. Perfect as a hostess present. You don't even have to wrap it; the packaging is THAT nice. Sure, pricey - but SO worth it.

The scent of Stella is intoxicating. Fresh & sexy. Sweet blood orange, with a touch of zesty tartness. The throw is excellent. Clean & even burning. Even when the candle is not burning, it scents an entire room. Gorgeous packaging.

I just got one of these in the mail from beautyhabit.com and I love, love, LOVE it! What a wonderful fragrance; I can't stop smelling it. Burns so nicely and did I mention the fragrance? It's simply gorgeous. I will take about 3,000 of these, please!

i'm onto my 3rd tocca candle this month. i was looking for something a little bit less sweet and more refreshing. Stella seemed to fit the bill. It smells lovely up close, but for some reason, the throw isn't nearly as strong as Kyoto & Grace. But when i do get a whiff of it here and there, i smell the juiciness of the oranges and a tinge of tartness as well. would love it if i could smell it better!

Stella is the slightly sweet, never bitter and always fresh scent of blood orange, widely recognized as one of the finest gifts of nature. With its origins coming from 17th century Sicily, the blood orange is harmonious with Tocca Beauty's philosophy of combining the best of old world traditions with modern influences. The above is Tocca's description of this candle.
Grace(casablanca lily) still remains my favorite Tocca candle, but the new Stella is wonderful. It is more fruity, not floral and never overpowering. It is a very fresh, clean, slightly bitter orange fragrance and will fill a room with it's wonderful fragrance in minutes. I still prefer Diptyque Choisya because it smells exactly like oranges and orange blossoms, but Stella is my second favorite orange scented candle. Illuminations also makes an orange scented candle that is very nice and very affordable.
Tocca's candles burn so perfectly. Never smoke, always burn evenly, packaging is gorgeous, great for a gift item too.
Price is 42.00.

Beautiful. Blood orange fresh juicyness. Wonderful throw. Lasting scent. Great price for the quality. One of my favorite candles from Tocca or anyone else. Available at Barneys.
