I love this eyeshadow. It produces the most, beautiful, flattering gold color you will ever see! I just wish it was easier to control. The powder is loose and you can get gobs of it all over the place. But still, I love the color albeit it is messy.

This is a beautiful color. It really is a true gold and it looks great on my caramel brown skin. I love the shimer to it. It's very classy and doesn't have the huge flecks in it like some other gold eyeshadows I have seen on the market. I use the UD eye shadow primer with all of my shadows so I never have a problem with smudging or creasing. I get compliments whenever I wear this color and some of my coworkers are thinking of buying this shade as well since they have seen it on me. A little goes a long way with this eyeshadow, but when I run out I will repurchase. This is the perfect color that can be easily be blended with just about any other color.

I FREAKEN LOVE THIS EYESHADOW. when they named it true gold -- they really meant it. IT's really true gold! i love the color. it looks so classy. it stays on allllll dayyyyyyyy!!! i don't even need to use eyeshadow primer :). i'm in love with this eyeshadow. would definitely repurchase when i run out.

This stuff is gorgeous when used as an eyeliner. I tried it for the first time tonight using a wet application and it looked like liquid gold. Seriously beautiful and doesn't bother my eyes. I also sometimes use it as just a light shimmer over brown eyeshadow....but you have to be careful to tap almost all of it off the brush first so it doesn't go on too thick. It is a very loose powder of course, so you don't want to spill it or you'll be glimmering for weeks (or your bathroom counter will). Definitely not an every day eyeshadow, but just beautiful for special occasions or if going out or as an eyeliner or smudge in the outer or inner corner with a neutral daytime look. Gives you that little extra shimmer that catches peoples' eyes. I would definitely buy this again. The "shimmer" effect is just that....the glitter is so fine that as long as you don't cake it on you can still pull off a neutral look.

Love this shadow. The name fits it perfectly because it really is the truest gold eye shadow I have ever used. It's sheer if you use only one layer or with a fluffy brush but when applied with a dense shadow brush like the Full Tapered Brush it goes on opaque and gorgeous. I get so many compliments when I wear True Gold and its great for wearing in the summer. I really need to try this wet as an eyeliner or all over as a foiled eye look because I hear it looks absolutely gorgeous and dramatic. I will update again when I do try it wet. If I ever run out of this eye shadow, which I doubt I will since BE eye shadows last for forever, I will repurchase.

Wow! I just tried this and it is definitely GOLD! It is not yellow, or orange, or bronze, or greenish looking. It is amazing color!

I have never seen a gold eyeshadow to compare with this! This goes on light, or dark... AMAZING!

A little goes a long way when using this. Though I wouldnt call it really pigmented. It does take a little more to get it that "gold" color you see in the jar. I am sure this would make a great eyeliner with a sealer, and I will try it this weekend.

I have had this for over a year and rarely use it, but since warmer weather is almost here and I was to start doing more bronzy ish looks for the summer.

To me, this is more "gold" sparkle than a true gold pigment. To get it more of a pigment color, you have to "dab" it on your eye instead of sweep it on in the traditional sense.. you can def. build up color on this one, but just a little makes a nice golden sparkle glow that goes well with all sorts of other colors.

I also need to add that there is quite a bit of fallout with this color. I often wear mineral eye-shadows and the fallout on this one is alot more than others.

I love this eyeshadow color. Recenty, Bare Escentuals has been becoming my favorite makeup brand... Every time I try something new from Bare Escentuals, I end up loving it! The color True Gold is a bareMinerals Glimmer eyeshadow, and yes, it is a loose eyeshadow. I didn't think I would like loose eyeshadows, but Bare Escentuals changed my mind! The color True Gold is extremely pigmented, and it can be worn on it's own or blended with other colors (it looks gorgeous with Bare Escentuals' Sun Goddess Glimmer eyeshadow), which is a major plus. You don't need to use very much of this product, either, therefore it lasts forever. Also, for some reason, I adore Bare Escentuals packaging. The eyeshadows come in little clear containers, with sifters in them, and screw-off tops, and on top they say "i.d" or something... They're just so cute ;) Highly, highly reccomend this, and many other Bare Escentuals eyeshadows!

I never thought I'd love loose shadows, but BE may change my mind.

Beautiful rich gold color that glides easily on the eyes.
It's loose, and it applies evenly so its like a silk wash of gold on your eyes. Of course its glimmery/shimmery like it says in the name.

The packaging is nice as well because there are only four sifter holes so it won't go crazy and when you open it up, tons of product will not flake out unless it has been bumping up and around in your purse or whatnot. (I have not done this so I do not know)

Its super sheer and you can build it up on your eyes.

Perfect gold color that has very good color pay off with little product.

*Not sure about rebuying because I got this for $18 Canadian with 3 other eye glimmers, and a lipgloss at Winners.

This is a really nice gold accent. It's sheer and very glittery but can affect some very nice looks. I like using it like a liner for by bottom lid.

This eyeshadow color is AWESOME!
Its a great shimmer, and a real good color.
I apply it with my finger, as i find i get a fuller look of color when i use my finger as my brushes don't really give me the amount I want, but in saying that I do have more brushes on the way lol
If you find it too messy, or if it travels down your face as some powder eye shadows do, i recommend to fold a tissue and hold it under your eye on your cheek so it does not go down your face :)

This is THE PERFECT GOLD COLOR!!!! It can be used sheer by itself or to add a little gold to another eyeshadow, or I can use it wet and it looks like pure gold on my eyes! Great color and pigmentation, the only thing is that this does have bismuth oxychloride in it, but as long as I don't use too much, I don't have a reaction to it. I only said that I wouldn't repurchase this because I probably won't ever have to.

OMG, best gold I have ever used! This color is more saturated than almost any other BE eyeshadow. It really looks like your eye has been coated in gold. I also like the generous portions BE gives of eyeshadow. I've had this one for almost a year, and it's still over 3/4 full.

a PERFECT gold shade! This is beautiful foiled or applied dry for a more subtle look... I cannot wait to try this on tanned skin this summer- will be fab! This should be in everyone's stash- it's so pretty!

This is a nice pretty gold color - not too cool or warm, and looks beautiful on almost every skin tone.
Works as a simple sheer brush of gold over the lids, a more intense foil, or mix it with another shadow to add some sparkle.
The best thing I do with this is after I put on black liner, above that line I make a veryveryveryvery fine line of the true gold above it from the inside corner of your eye to about the middle - it adds a special "pop" - but be careful because this only looks good when you make the line THIN - almost unnoticeable. Marilyn Monroe used to do her eye liner like that :)

I knew this was a good purchase when I was told by my friends that this eyeshadow looked like my real skintone, only sparking. The lasting power on this glimmer is very good, and it never changes colors on me, even with a primer. The shadow itself is loose and a bit sheer, but it layers very well and foils well too. This also works well as a highlighter on the cheekbones for a night out, and adds a really nice sparkle when mixed with lipglosses as well. This is my favorite Bare Minerals product because it is a great multipurpose product.

True Gold has become one of my staple shadows. If I want to add a little sparkle to any of my shadows I just sweep this on to add effect. This shade blends with everything so well and adds lots of dimension when you layer it. I love pairing this with Sublime (a forest green also from BE) because Sublime has some gold undertones already so the two colors mix beautifully. If you decide to foil True Gold it is truly amazing, your eyelids will totally sparkle and catch lots of positive attention. This is a very VERSATILE shade, I highly recommend.

Easily my favorite eye shadow ever. It is a really shimmery gold that makes my blue eyes pop. The color is very buildable, but since it is a loose powder I recommend using primer first. People always comment on how blue my eyes look when I wear this. It is a bit expensive, as are most products from the brand, but I have had it for well over a year and I have not even made a dent in it. You don't need much at all so it lasts forever.
