I was really nervous to try this stuff on my skin considering I am pretty acne-prone (and have combination skin.. how fun..) but i was basically out of options. I have tried expensive acne medications and emollient moisturizers for my cheeks with little to no results. The chapped skin around my cheeks was really bothering me so I began using Vaseline. While I love Vaseline for its other uses, it feels to greasy on my face and gets everywhere on my pillow. Fast forward to being introduced to this stuff. It is pink, smells good, and has a less-greasy consistency when compared to Vaseline. I wash my face, apply witch hazel, and rub a tiny bit of this on my face while it is still wet and sleep with it on. Just make sure to exfoliate with a scrub or clarisonic in the morning! Not only are my cheeks patch-free, my breakouts are few and far between. This is not some miraculous I-just-tried-this-once miracle, I have used an entire tube of this stuff over the past year and just repurchased. I do NOT know how it works, but it does. Give it a try.

I have eczem so I need heavy duty moisturizers when I have flare ups. This works great! I put it on at night and wake up with the eczema gone. HOWEVER...the smell is awful. It has this way too floral grandma scent. I would have given it 5 lipsticks but the smell...

Seriously, I do not normally like Mary Kay products but I LOVE this product. I have acne-prone skin, but I literally only use this on my lips and eyes. My eye circles are gone, and my lips are full and moisturized. It's far better than chapstick, because I don't have to constantly apply it. The smell is a litte strange, but if you get past that, it's the best intensely moisturizing skin product I have ever used.

I absolutely love this product, although I'm not a huge fan of MK. I received it in a swap as an extra item and God bless the person who decided to give it to me :) It's consistenct appears to be vaseline like, but it is not oily and my skin absorbs it very well. I love how my skin feels after the application; it is smooth, super soft and velvety. I apply it to my hands and to my legs as well. Does not have an aggressive smell which is a huge plus to me. Amazing product I would recommend it to everybody, even if you do not have dry skin it can be used for elbows, heels, knees you name it. Will buy again and again and again.

I'm not a fan of MK so I was given a jar of this cream. (I understand that it now comes in a tube.) I have oily acne skin so I would not DARE use this on my face. However, I found it to be an outstanding bed-time hand cream and I use it religiously. It makes my hands feel soft and emollient (not greasy) At first it appears and feels a lot like vaseline but honestly it is stiffer than pure petroleum jelly and it seems to absorb better too. A little goes a very long way. It does as others have said, smell like "old lady" It reminds me of my great-grandma's bedroom. Anyway, while I do really enjoy this cream, when my jar is done (which will take forever) I will not buy more because I don't need a "consultant" to buy a hand cream.

I am 51 years old, and I realize you cannot fight time or gravity. I have used this product twice and the next morning my face appears firmer, more pumped up and the fine lines around my eyes and mouth are less pronounced.
The smell does not really bother me as it is not that strong and fades rather quickly.
I have heard of women in the days of yore using nothing but vaseline on their faces and their skin was exceptional. The key is moisturizing and using moisturizers in the right formula.
also on another note,, those that like clean smelling fragrances, should try Mary Kay's "Simply Cotton". It smells fresh as the name implies and has a great staying power, at least with me. My hubby loves the smell!

I received a sample of this as a swap extra and am SO grateful! It is amazing for my extremely dry face. A little goes a long way. The consistency is like a dry-oil version of Vaseline, if that makes any sense. It sinks in very quickly and leaves only a barely moist feel on the skin.
This is the only product I've found in 10 years that actually makes my skin feel comfy.
I took off one lippy for the heinous fragrance. Eau de Old Lady, srsly.

This stuff is the ONLY Mary Kay product that I can honestly say I would buy again and again. My mom used to buy this stuff when we were kids she'd use it on our lips after we had a fever and we had those super chapped and cracked lips. Within two days, my lips would be healed. At $13 a tube though...it's a bit pricey. If you can get it during a sale, that's the way to go. Aside from my lips, I've never really used it anywhere else, but I'm sure it works wonders. Overall, it's a good buy...I just wish there was a cheaper alternative or similar product that could mimic Mary Kay's results. Oh well...until then though, I'll continue buying this product.

I LOVE this product. I was in desperate need of a really good cream for my super dry skin. Last year, I started getting this extremely flaky skin on my face. It got so dry, the flakes started forming patches. And then the patches started turning red after a few weeks. Ugh. I tried so many products (lancome, estee lauder, chanel, shiseido, olay, vaseline, baby oil, olive oil, face masks including boscia, nuskin, etc) to try to make them go away but the horrible dry skin persisted. I was about to near give up and head to the dermatologist, til one day I came upon this in my unused stash. I gave it a try and my skin became increasingly smoother and less patchy! It has been about 2 months since I started using it and now my face looks baby smooth again. LOVE. I use it at night always but mostly on my dryest areas, then night cream all over, and eye cream and lip balm. I was a stickler about using a face mask twice a wk as directed, but I haven't used it for 3 weeks and haven't noticed any decrease in smoothness either. I just ordered 6 travel size tubes on ebay for $8 - what a steal!

I love this night cream! I have never been able to find anything that gets rid of my dry, flakey skin patches on my face...this does the job! Of course it is super greasy, that's why you use it at night. Really helps my dryness..and my skin is super sensitive and it has never irritated my face, I have used this for a few years. LOVE IT

I can't complain about the price because I bought 6 tubes of this stuff on Ebay for under the price of 1 tube.
I LOVE THIS STUFF! Nightly, I exfolliate my lips to get the dry skin off and then put this stuff on before I go to bed and my lips are super soft in the morning.

I use this mainly to keep my lips moisturized and it works very well. Once in a while I may put some on my heels. I've never used this on my face or hands because it seems to sticky. The smell doesn't bother me because it goes away after a couple of minutes.

Where do I begin....chapped lips, rough feet, elbow, hands, chafed noses, unidentified rashes, diaper rash, heck the stuff would probably cure malaria if doctors would just give it a try. My mother has sworn by this for years and I totally agree. It fixes almost everything. I've given it in baby shower gifts with a note to the mother that this is great stuff to use on her and her baby.
My favorite thing is to use it at night as an under eye cream. IT IS NOT JUST GLORIFIED VASELINE. It also contains vaious other emollients. I have found the price reasonable. I think the last time I bought a tube it was around $14; that may have changed, since it has been a while since I have had to buy any....it last forever
My only complaint is that this used to come in a jar (which I know can be contaminated by your hands) but it was much easier to get out every last bit. Now sometimes I have been known to cut the tube open and scrape out the last bit like some crazed junkie

I actually found this at a garage sale for 50 cents or so...lol and I had never heard of it before but I thought I would give it a try since I wanted to try it for a specific purpose. I use it when I get dry patches of skin on my face...such as from a pimple or something. I will use it during the day if I am not going anywhere, and then if I do I get ready I have to use something else because it's so greasy, but it helps to moisturize my dry patches before I put makeup on so that they aren't emphasized. I don't use it all over my face, I use Curel Sensitive skin for that, but I use it when the need comes up. It has lasted a long time and it's almost empty, but I would buy another one at full price if I felt I needed to, but def. If I found it on sale!!

I haven't been very happy with most of the products mk sells but a consultant recommended the eenc for my kids eczema and bleeding noses. I was hesitant to use on my kids but tried it and after a few days my kids skin is baby soft. My kids eczema is gone and if i miss a few days of not putting it on and they get a scaly patch i rub some in the patch and its gone the next day. I tried a lot of different products and have special instructions not to use most lotions but this has done wonders. I don't mind the pink vaseline texture or the smell, but if those bother you, try the one from the satin hands set...it's fragrance free and clear.

I recently had a series of laser treatments on my face, and was digging around for something super-moisturizing once I started peeling. I found this jar of MK cream that must about a zillion years old, and I had forgotten all about it. I've been using it for a few days and it has made my traumatized skin feel soooo much better. I couldn't believe it when I read the ingredients--I mean, this stuff is basically wax. I would never have used it on my face if I'd read the ingredients first, but I have to say I really, really like how it feels. Maybe it's like junk food for your skin--nothing nutritious in it, but it sure feels good? The scent is old-fashioned and reminds me of Mom's or Grandmom's cold creams, which to me smells comforting and nice.

Pros - it works.
Cons - it probably IS not much more than pink vaseline. but so what, it works.
I apply this to hands and feet before bed, with socks and gloves to avoid a mess and in the morning I wake up with amazingly soft skin. the affects don't last more than a day or two but if you have the dry skin blues this is a great, cheap, easy quick-fix.

I received this in the Mary Kay Satin Hands Set, which I received as a gift. It serves well for exactly what it is marketed for - a very rich emollient cream, best for night time use since it is so heavy. I use this after preparing for bed, washing my hands with warm water, and slather this on before donning moisturizing gloves. Results are nice baby soft hands - I've always had hard dishwater hands, but I am learning to take care of them. Wearing gloves in the kitchen, and using this creme with moisturizing gloves has helped preserve softness and healthy cuticles.
UPDATE 7/22/2011:
I no longer use this cream. It is basically a fancy vaseline. I found it too greasy over time, and decided that the brand name of Vaseline works just as well, and doesnt leave my hands with a shiny sticky feeling afterwards. For those that want a cheaper alternative, consider getting just the plain vaseline brand. It works many miracles too.

Yes, it smells bad, but it's amazing for dry skin during the winter. I moved from Florida to Minnesota a few years ago and experienced my first winter ever, during which my entire face started to peel off, it got so dry. I tried a sample of this stuff and have been using it ever since. I use it at night, during the day, and sometimes multiple times during the day in winter, especially on the tip of my nose if I have to go outside when it's windy. I have sensitive skin, but this product has never irritated my skin or caused breakouts.
