I really expected to love this color from the description, a cool brown/gray taupe. However on me this is pretty much just gray and not at all flattering. I like #11 better because it is a bit more brown, but my absolute fav taupe by far is Scott Barnes Sable. Gave a three because as always with Armani shadows the quality and texture are wonderful. Gave this away to someone that it looks fantastic on and not so gray.

This is my first GA e/s and I really like it! Color is a basic taupe, a brownish grey with soft shimmer that can be easily worn in daytime and yet works nicely for a more dramatic look as well. This color is nice, but not outstanding: I personally find Shu ME 945, which color is very similar to this, to be nicer.
But if we speak about texture, this is the silkiest I have ever tried! It blends heavenly and stays put all day long without creasing. Packaging is gorgeous as well, a sleek black Armani case mirrored inside, so stylish!
Very pricey, but definitely worth it.

A beautifull taupe/grey/brown, that is just fantastic in the crease. it literally goes on like silk and blends to perfection. The beauty of Armani's shadows is that they go on sheer, and you can build them up to intensify. I love pairing this one with #12 on lids.

I absolutely cannot wear dark colours (browns/ greys etc) on my lids or crease. they tend to make my eyes look really small and like i had been punched!
imagine my surprise when the international ma suggested this colour for my at the makeover...i looked lovely in it! i now use it on my crease and my eyes look rounder. a HG for me!
the texture of the armani eyeshadows are too die for. very silky and just seems to glow when used.do check out the eyeshadows when given a chance!

I love this color! It is a greyish/ brown/taupe that is a hint shimmery. I used it all over lid. Haven't tried crease yet, but I'm sure it would work just as well. It's extremely easy to wear and goes with almost everything. Great every day color!

The SA recommended this color for me, but when I got home and tried it I was very disappointed and will be returning it. It is too cool for my complexion (warm LSF 4.5, hazel/light brown eyes). Looked very grey on me and not at all flattering. #11 is a better choice for me. Love #11!

I dont see the complexities in this color that everyone talks about..its a basic greyish taupe on me..It IS very soft and smooth and blends/wears well. I got it to have as a staple e/s.

I'm heading straight back to Chanel Vega. GA makes a nice, sheer E/S, but so what? Maybe it was too much hype, but I expected WOW!! For my blue/gray eye, Vega is it.

This is everything I wanted Chanel Vega to be! It is a similar shade, mixing grey, silver, brown and plum into a sort of cool taupe, but the texture -- oh the texture -- is simply head and shoulders above!
This eye shadow is quite versatile, and like most Armani eye shadows, it applies with a beautiful and subtle sheen. It's a little cooler than I'd normally wear, but it pairs easily w/ warmer-toned eyeshadows. It complements my MSF No. 9/NC 43 skintone well.
I always appreciate Armani eye shadows for their crease-resistance and long wear. Highly recommended.
EDIT:I tried, but it's too cool for me to LOVE. I prefer the warmer No. 11 when going for taupe-y colors. Knocked off only one lippie 'cause I still like it!

This was one of the eyeshadows used on the Star Lash Mascara advertisement model. I just love it for a smokey day or night look. You can soften it for daytime or deepen it up for night (wet it or simply apply more). It is a greyish/silvery color with touches of brown and plum. So hard to describe but such a beautiful color that would look great on anyone, and would match anything. I wear it with #12 eyeshadow as a base, and #8 eyeliner (dove grey). Looks great on blue/green eyes.

My sweetie sister brought this home for me from SF. Actually, I told her not to return home without it. The packageing is gorge, the texure is silk, (it might as well be spun gold) and (miricle of miracles) it DOES NOT CREASE. I dropped it on the floor and out it came. I was able to save most of it. I hate that it wears so strongly on your lids and does not stay put in the package. Oh well. That is its only flaw. Fantastic for work, you dont have to keep checking if your eyeshadow has worn off at all. Amazing.

Taupey grey with a sheer, satiny texture. Virtually identical to Stila Puck, thatīs why I didnīt keep it. Armaniīs formula is silkier, but I prefer Stilaīs pigment and shimmery texture better. Plus I like to have my eyeshadows in palettes, so Stilaīs pans are much more practical for me.

Armani's answer to Shu's ME 945-- which isn't to say it's a copy of Shu's shade, or that you don't need both :) Both are incredibly versatile, complex neutrals. I find that #12 really brings out the aqua color in my eye, and it's especially beautiful in the crease: it manages to dramatically improve my eye shape when placed there, yet it's the most subtle crease shade in my arsenal. Draws attention to your eyes, not to its color-- perfect!

A beautiful gray/taupe which provides just a wash of colour with one sweep or can be built up without caking or creasing. This colour is all things Armani - elegant, neutral and long lasting.

I can't agree more with all the other reviews! This color is stunning! It applies so easy, like silk, you can layer it from subtle to smokey look. I paired it with #12 and oh boy! how this combination made my eyes look! I would highly recommend this color for daytime or night.

I adore this eye shadow. It's a very neutral taupey-grey with a touch of shimmer that is quite buildable. I apply it sheerly for an every day look, or build it up for smokey eyes. And you can't beat the quality of the Armani shadows. They're so soft and silky, and they blend like a dream.

Wow! after reading all the fab reviews, I knew I had to get this! It really is a lovely color... changes in all sorts of lights. But not holographic... it's just an exotic blend of taupe, charcoal, and plum. Perfect for smokey eyes, and with just a hint of a glow to it!

Out of all the Armani shadows I own, this is probably the most complex shade. It is a mix of silver, gray, taupe, plum...looks sort of like a shimmer gunmetal color with a slight purple tinge. Extremely beautiful and unique. An absolute must have shadow. As with all my Armani shadows, this feels like silk and wears like iron.

This is a beautiful taupe gray color that looks like a mix of several different shades so it's hard to describe. It even seems to have a bit of a plum tone to it. It applys smoothly and it lasts forever on my lids without creasing.

Such a pretty color! This shadow is a medium taupe-brown-gray shimmer with plummy undertones. So it makes a pretty all over wash or crease color. As with all of the Armani shadows, the texture is silky smooth. But I do wish that they were a little less sheer and more pigmented. Still wonderful shadow.
