This is my go to lip gloss! I got this as a sample from Sephora several years ago and have been hooked ever since. This is a universal shade that will look great on everyone. Very fine micro glitter, just the right amount. Nothing cheesy. I think this should be everyone's first lip glaze if they have never tried them. This looks good on everyone. Plus, the formula alone is different from other glosses. It lasts so much longer. Def. worth the hefty price tag as 1 lip glaze will last you a long time. As for those who want to clean the lip brush on the tube. Just get a paper towel and wet with rubbing alcohol rub the brush around on the damp towel. It will remove gloss gunk and sanitize at the same time. Voila! Brand new, clean brush.

I recieved this in a set of Stila products and after using it a few times I wasnt wowed by it. The color is pretty blah on my light/med beige skin tone and altho the packaging is cute and clever, it doesnt justify the pricetag. I'd rather use the convertible color on my lips with my mac clear lipglass.

I got a three pack of Stila Lip Glazes (Apricot, Brown Sugar, and Starfruit) and this one is my favorite from that pack. It's all around perfect to me. First, I'll start with the smell: At first I thought this had no scent (which is good for me: I tend to prefer lip products with hardly to no scent), but when I smelled more closely it has a very light (especially compared to other lip glazes) brown sugar-y scent. There's really no other way to describe it. I quite like it. Secondly, the color is great to me. Although it's sheer (like all stila lip glazes are, which I prefer) it gives my lips a shimmery (but not too/obviously shimmery, I would hate that) golden brown overcast. I love that. It's a great color that could compliment anyone.
In the tube, it looked like nothing special to me. If anything, quite unappealing. However, on the lips, it's anything but. I think this lip glaze is really underrated. My only complaint is that when it fades, it gives my lips a semi-nude appearance.

This came in a holiday gift pack that I got at Sephora for 75% off, so the price was right at the time. I love the color of this lip glaze, and the feel is all right. Brown Sugar is a shimmery neutral that still has enough color to pop on pigmented lips. I like to wear it by itself or over MAC Viva Glam V lipstick. This is one of my favorite Stila colors, but the scent is not great. I don't like the container, though, because I crank and crank and nothing comes out, then all of a sudden, there's a giant blob of gloss on the brush. It takes some getting used to. I don't think I would replace it at full price.

This is one of m favorite summertime lip glosses. I purchased my first tube last year and just bought another one a few weeks ago. I'm giving it a 3 for packaging only because the gloss leaks into the cap at times which wastes it, other than that, it's almost perfect. The color is a rich caramel color which looks great with my fair skin & freckles and tube makes it so easy to apply without looking in the mirror. I haven't found another lip gloss that I love as much as this one!

Pros:
- Very thick, which means it would last longer then the average gloss
Cons:
- Colour is awful when applied on
- Very expensive, especially consider the size of the tube, you only get and inch worth of product
- The gloss is very dificult to apply
Others:
- Is scentless and taste less unlike the philosophy gloss
Overall:
The only thing I like about this gloss is that it last very long and very thick. It is soo difficult to use, I would have twist the tube wait for about 5 seconds for the product to flow out, and when I think that not enough, I twist a little bit more and it all just start spewing out of the tube. this colour is just not nice at all, I thought it would be a natural colour, turn out is was too brown.
Stila is not widely available in Australia, and it is also very expensive. For the money that you spent, and the amount that you get in one tube, I feel I was ripped off big time.
Would i buy it again? Not this colour

This one is interesting, in some lights it makes my lips look a slightly darker caramel type of colour, in others it's a rosy colour. I like both these types of colours, and in any light, it has this beautiful shimmer throughout that gives it a glistening effect. If I apply too much, it verges on too brown, but I do think it is special and haven't found a dupe for it.

The first time I applied Brown Sugar, I fell in love with Stila's lip glazes. I love how flattering the shimmers are and it gives my lips a tint of color that boosts my natural lip color. Brown Sugar isn't really brown, it's light and deepens your lip color slightly.

My friend got me a Stila kit for Christmas which included this shade. I did judge a book by it's cover- it looked too brown in the container and kinda dark, so I never really though to reach for this til recently. I'm actually really liking how it looks on- I agree that it does enhance my lip shade. The color isn't as dark or as flat brown as I was thinking. It has bronze tones in it and makes me look more polished, with a little bit of shimmer. Decently pigmented. I love the glossy shine and the texture feels luxurious- if you like thicker glosses this is nice. This definitely makes my lips look more noticeable. Even if this did work on me, it may not work for all skin tones. I am an NC35 with yellow undertones and tan easily, if that helps anyone!

I got this from a set and gave it a try. I doubt I would have got this on it's own going by the looks of it, it looks too brown in the tube. But on the lips it's enhances your natural rosy lip color and gives a nice bronzy shimmer cast to them. It's very very pretty. Will prob. get another one when this one runs out.

very rarely is there a product that looks so different on different people. based on all the mua reviews, the glaze color very much depends on your natural lip color - it can show up anywhere from clear to deep brown with purple undertones.
on my natually pink lips, it is a beautiful caramel color with very subtle sparkles. it feels sticky, but staying power is the best of all the glosses i have ever tried.
as for packaging - the brush is fine and easy to use. just hate the clicking sound and the way it distributes the gloss. you either have no glaze, or too much, which can then applies in uneven patches.
overall, a very good for a lip gloss. only with it came in a simple, sturdy tube with a brush. stila, you can do it; we know you can

Unlike a lot of the previous reviewers, this lip glaze actually worked out pretty well on me. I'm about NC-25/30ish, and it comes out nicely on my naturally more red/purple lips. There's a hint of gold sparkle and just a little caramel color, enough so it looks like I'm wearing just a little bit of something on my lips. It lasts for a while, though it is slightly sticky for the first 5 minutes after applying it. From the other reviews, how well this color works definitely seems to depend on your skintone and the natural color of your lips.
Hate the applicator though, it's loud and annoying to work with.

This lip gloss looks very brown in the tube and I am sad to say that, once applied, it looks very brown on one's lips. It's just brown-brown-brown! Also, this shade is rather dark and looks like a shiny matte gloss, if such an unholy marriage was possible.
I have stayed away from Stila in the past because the prices are outrageous for what you get. After trying this lip gloss and a couple others, I think I will continue to stay away because the colors aren't complex enough. They should really simply re-name the shades "brown," "pink," "red," etc.

I personally would have never picked this color out on my own, I actually received it as a part of a kit. I'm NW35 so this is a MLBB metallic toffee/bronzy brown. Definitely makes my tan skin look more sunkissed. Its glossy and stays for hours which I really like. I probably will not buy this again because I have dial the product up and it can dipense a little or too much. I just find that clicking this gloss is very noisy in an office environment especially since I work really nerdy guys. I dont want them question each other what the hell is that noise? oh by the way, 'its her lipgloss'.

I can't believe so many people describe all these colors that apply to this gloss - rose, brownish, caramel, etc. On me this is absolutely clear. It is shiny and I guess not pink at all, hence more nude beige but, basically, there is no color whatsoever.
If that is what you are looking for and you are fair with pale lips then it is a nice fairly long lasting gloss.
In terms of the click pen I have now learned to turn the gloss with the brush directly facing me when I am clicking. This way you can see when the gloss is starting to seep into the brush at the very bottom and give it one more light click after that

PROS: Love the neutral rose-latte color w/the slight gold shimmer! Just the right amount of pigment. Very work appropriate :)
CONS: HATE the applicator. While it looks cool, it is very difficult to dispense the right amount of l/g. Also, the gloss is very thick and the brush doesn't spread it very well. A little sticky.
I really wanted to love this product... however, I will not repurchase b/c of the applicator. Too much work. Will look into their other similar products instead.

like most other people, i got this lipglaze in a set (seems like this lippie is included in nearly all of stila's sets). i put off trying this for the longest time because it just looked so intimidating in the tube -- a deep bronze mocha color with shimmer. and for the life of me, i cannot pull off wearing blatantly brown lipcolor -- but on my NC 20-25, moderately pigmented lips, it's more of a bronzy caramel color -- probably qualifying as a darker nude shade. it seems to lighten up a bit with wear... and in certain lighting it almost looks like a caramel peach tone. it's nothing spectacular, but it is fairly nice. this shade probably would work year-round.
that being said, i do hate the clicky-pen tube and the scent is a little off-putting. i would never buy this full-retail, but if i did get this in another stila set, i wouldn't mind keeping it.

I got this as part of a a set and although it did not appeal to me at first, it turned out really beautiful when I actually tried it on. The colour is a pearly/shimmery brown with a cool-toned mauve undertone, which initially screams 90s but after a while it sort of melts into a sweet earthy colour that flatters my NC20 skin. It is still strong, tho and It kind of reminds me of MAC O lipstick. The smell is really strong-it actually smells of brown sugar and the application pen is not the best to use but I overall like as it also makes my lips look fuller ( the glaze effect).

WOW, I super didn't like the product.
First of all the colour was wrong, which isn't IT'S fault, (however it did come with a "Best of Stila" kit that I bought... so maybe that IS Stila's fault.) It was too dark and brown and blech for my NW15 skin tone.
The formula is horrible, thick, sticky and has a bad smell.
The packaging is... um... original, I guess(attempt at saying something nice) but for the price there isn't a whole lot in that tube, plus it seems to take forever to twist any gloss out onto the brush and beware if you slightly OVER twist cause then it'll be everywhere, and there is no way to wipe it off back into the tube (as would be possible with a classic "wand in tube" gloss).
The brush it's self is too long and wide and is not stiff enough to accurately apply gloss to lips.
I will not be buying this again...

I can understand why some people may find this l/g to be dark and muddy with their skintone. I, on the other hand, am an NC40 with a slight tan and this looks really great on me! It's a perfect color for fall, very sophisticated and polished. I found this to be a medium-dark brown with a hint of flattering plum. I don't like the click pen. It always overflows and there is not enough product. I got this in the travel in stila kit, but probably would not pay full price.
