i bought the l'aromarine vanille pen at a shoppers drug mart in around 2003 or 2004. i loved it so much i bought a 2nd. i tried to buy a few more, but they had none left and havent carried them since.
i still have them, but there is very little left in either of them, and i have been searching for them everywhere to no avail. i don't want to use up what little remains until i find new ones. lol i carry them in my purses all the time. they are such a perfect size and this is the absolute best vanilla perfume scent ever! it smells like watkins pure vanilla. so yummy and comforting. and i am on the road a lot, so they come in so handy when dealing with the trauma of gas sttion washrooms! just a quick spritz and most washrooms are less offensive to my sensitive nostrils! haha many air fresheners are just as offensive as the washroom itself. this vanilla is just so calming for me.
does anyone know if they sell them in any BC stores? thanks :)

I bought this becuase I have been on a vanilla hunt! And with the Body Shop's new version of what they think is "vanilla" (yuck) I needed to find something. I bought the pen because this was all I could find and I wish I could find a bottle! It is the most beautiful vanilla scent I have smelled in a long time. Sweet, foody, and comforting... which was what I wanted!

This is a standard, sweet foody vanilla with average staying power. I do not get the bourbon reference others have noted with this. On me, this is pure cotton candy sweet vanilla, very girly and just too sweet for me. I like the pen packaging for its innovation and distinction, though it isn't the most classy packaging around. The price on this is decent. Ultimately though, the scent itself is not distinctive or dark enough for me. I'll stick with Yves Rocher Vanille Bourbon which is true dark bourbon vanilla and is only $5CDN to boot!

I had a L'Aromarine pen, but as a reviewer pointed out, the packaging isn't the best and it broke and got all over my school bag (when I was in college) before I got much use out of it. I replaced it with a 'Beautiful' perfume pen which is about the same size but has a metal casing over the glass. This one has lasted me a while, though I dumped out the nasty Beautiful and gave it to my mom and replaced it with other perfume in the neat packaging. I don't know why more perfume doesn't come in these *great* pens.

I didn't find the pen - only the bottle. It's warm and vanilla - the saleswoman even thought it was CSP. It lasts quite a while and costs only $17! It has abated my current CSP obsession for a fraction of the price.

L'Aromarine Vanilla is a warm, toasty vanilla...like a Bourbon vanilla (as mentioned previously), almost vaguely reminiscent of caramel. L'aromarine is not as sweet as Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanilla, yet more full-bodied than L'Artisan Vanille, and stronger than Molinard Vanille. The scent is incredibly long lasting. I prefer wearing L'aromarine in the cold fall/winter months as it may be too warm and rich a scent for spring/and especially summer.

This is a handy refillable pen that comes filled with .33 oz. of spray-on scent. I got the vanilla, which is a wonderful, deep, foody scent--like L'Occitane's Vanilla Home Scent, more of a bourbon vanilla. It has fair staying power. My only complaint about the packaging is that the body of the pen is glass, which I could easily break (although it seems pretty sturdy). You can find the pens at www.unearthlybeauty.com (Venus); smallflower.com carries other products, including bottled EDTs and bath gels, etc. that come in beautiful retro packaging. A variety of other scents are available as well. Inexpensive, too.
