I received this as a gift in the travel size. I like it, but I sometimes find the smell a little off-putting, as it is rather sweet. However, it's not a bad smell. It is moisturizing, which is all I really require from the lotion. I also like that the travel-size fits with airline guidelines about what you can transport. I might buy it again, but I tend to just buy random hand creams near the check-out in the drugstore, so it's unlikely.

This stuff is amazing! New HG body lotion that's for sure! It's not greasy at ALL, it sinks into the skin fast, actually moisturizes (I've seen serious improvements in the softness of my skin) and smells amazing! Like vanilla and coconuts. I can skip perfume as this lasts on my skin all day. I got this on sale at The Bay here in Canada (seriously 50% off all Cake products!) but when I run out I will gladly pay the full price. Especially happy knowing that I'm putting something 95% natural on my skin!

I love pretty much everything from Cake Beauty, but I think this lotion is my favourite. It smells amazing like everyone has said, but unlike a lot of scented lotions it doesn't irritate my skin. I usually stay away from anything with a lot of scent but this is the exception. It's a little pricey so I ordered it from this Canadian site ebeauty.ca and bought a bunch to get free shipping...which in my mind cancels out the cost...sort of...heh. But because it does have a distinct scent I won't wear it every day so hopefully it will last a while.

delish smell. came in a cute little 'airplane friendly' travel size bottle for carry on. Very velvety and rich lotion. I would buy this again. The price is worth it!

this smells like vacation in a bottle. As soon as i put it on i feel like i'm somewhere tropical! i love the scent of coconut and vanilla.
I also really love how it absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn't leave any kind of residue on my skin.
Another reason i love Cake beauty is because they use 90-95% natural ingredients in their products! so this body lotion has mango butter, coconut oil, macadamia nut oil, aloe vera, sunflower oil and vitamin E.
So luxurious!

I bought this because cake online was offering 30% off and free shipping for over $100 purchase. It smells good and does a fine job moisturizing but I prefer my olay quench lotion because it moisturizes better but the body mousse smells great. I would buy it again if it were cheaper.

When I was browsing in Sephora with a need to spend some dough I came across this lotion and gave it a whiff. I immediately smelt rich sweet creamy icing. On my hands this took on more of a rich coconut icing scent, and slowly tranformed into a straight-up coconut oil scent. I wish it would smell on the skin the way it smells in the bottle, oh well what are you gonna do. Under repurchase I'd say maybe, but since I have to choose, I guess I'll say yes. But give it a try if you love coconut scents.

I tried this on my hands while browsing in Sephora and I loved the scent so much I had to go back and buy a bottle. I find it's fairly moisturizing, but probably not enough so for the height of winter. Nothing beats the body shop body butters for getting my knees and elbows softly through the winter. I agree with other reviewers that the bottle is a little too hard to squeeze. Another con is that apparently it tastes bad, according to my man after he kissed my neck! (same complaint for body shop body butters). After finishing the 66 ml bottle (plane friendly size), I decided to splurge on the giant 1L pump -- which came in a holiday limited edition gift pack that was leftover after Christmas (at Sephora). It came with a 1L pump of the bath/shower froth (same scent), which I don't like as much as the mousse. I agree with the other reviewer who said the bath/shower froth smells a little plastic-like. I got the 2 large pumps for $65 CAD, which is a lot considering I don't 'love' the froth; however, it would cost about $84 CAD to get 1L of just the mousse by buying 4 x the 250ml bottles -- so I justified spending $65 and figured I would probably use the froth or just re-gift it. I would definitely re-purchase Cake 'desserted island' supreme body mousse.

I really love the smell of this in the bottle but I can sort of detect a dirt like smell while wearing it sometimes (especially on my hands). I think this product is too expensive compared to other moisturizers you can get. What I really don't like about this product is the hard plastic bottle it comes in. Makes it hard to squeeze the product out. I have tons of this left and don't use it very often. try before you buy

This is a cute body moisturizer. It smell sweet and yummy and does moisturize it’s a good basic body cream. I do suffer from a bit of KP so I tend to use different lotions for the back of my arms. I would buy this again my bf likes it on me ;b

I got this as a gift and I really like the smell, which is not very strong, although I wish it were. I find it to be a bit greasy for a body lotion. The packaging looks very attractive but I find it a bit difficult to get the lotion out because it's not easy to squeeze the bottle.

This isn't a fantastic hydrating moisturizer but it smells so good it doesn't really matter.It's one of those want to eat your own arm smells.
Works really well with the matching body wash and the fragrance has quite a bit of staying power....way nicer than duwops buttercream in my opinion and much cheaper.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Desserted Island body lotion as I hated the shower gel in the same scent. While the latter had an awful plasticky rancid coconut smell, the former is a delicious combination of rich coconut cream and sweet vanilla. The texture and consistency are lovely, absorbing instantly upon application for smooth moisturized skin. It's not the best choice for those with dry skins but makes a really nice light body moisturizer for the warmer months. For the price (in the AUD 30 range), the packaging could be a lot more attractive and a lot less dull and cheap-looking. I'm not exactly sure I'd repurchase given the outrageous price of this lotion but if I'm ever in the mood for a fun holiday scent, I know just what I'll be buying.

This is a fun moisturizer. The scent is very summer-y. It is not a particularly good moisturizer but would most likely be enough for summer months. I don't use it daily (usually I prefer something fresher).

Whilst i DO like this, i just wanted it to be more vanilla (as another person commented) its just too coconut-y ... also, it aint the best moisturiser i've used ... not bad, but not the BEST.

I am completely in love with the smell of Desserted Island! It's sweet combination of coconut and vanilla - a definite must for people who count the days to the start of summer or that next sun getaway! I hope the girls at Cake Beauty look into bottling the scent as a body spray!

I thought I would love this, but I didn't. It was too coconutty without being vanilla-y enough for me. I expected it to be sweeter. It was ok, but would not repurchase. Like the other Cake products, this is too expensive in my opinion.

I love this! The smell is wonderful without being over powering (it does linger though, so you can still smell it). The texture is just right: not too thin, not too thick. It goes on quickly and isn't greasy. Definitely will buy it again!
