I first bought this so long ago; I don’t even know what my motivation was for choosing this. If I had to guess, it would probably be due to its claims of de-puffing hair, which as a teenager is all my thick, long, coarse, naturally curly hair did: poof! This cream’s effects on curly hair are good, but it won’t re-define dry fuzzy curls and it doesn’t add much shine. But it really works best when I’m reviving a blowout or trying to keep the blowout in place on a humid day. In those situations, this cream is a lifesaver. Again, it’s a little lacking in shine, so when I’m reviving a blowout after sleeping on it, I run my flatiron over the kinks, spread one pump of Davines Oi/Oil through my hair for shine, then use a pea-size of this to smooth down any flyaways for puffiness that the flatiron didn’t get. For midday, I’ll do the same thing, minus the flatiron. It really does its job. Although I don’t use it every day, and since a little goes a long way, I don’t repurchase this very often, but when I run out, I’ll be buying this again.

I wear my hair natural 99.9% of the time & my curls love this stuff. I use it after my hair is dry to calm the frizzies & twirl strands that are out of control back in line with their curl. I've used it with wet hair too, mix it with Garnier Surf Hair if I'm in humidity - great stuff. My hair is fine & corkscrew curly 3a/b I think. White girl fro depending on how short I cut it :)

Even though it made my hair a-lot less frizzy, it left my hair looking oily.

This stuff is the BEST! Advance apologies for the cheesy factor, but it really is my "secret weapon"...I always have a tube in my purse, on my bathroom sink, in my car...no joke. I have wavy/hardcore frizzy hair, and as soon as I use this (I use more than most others, about a dime-quarter size, but again, my hair's super frizzy and I have very long hair) my hair is shiny and not frizzy at all. It's amazing. I've turned all my friends onto this product, you must try it if you have frizz!

I've always depended on this product to tame my "fly aways", and it's remained my favorite for years. However, be sure just to put a very small dollap in, otherwise it can easily weigh hair down.

I like that's it's a cream and not an oily serum. It seems to calm my fly aways and add shine. I don't use very much - about a big pea size amount.

Okay, so this product can acutally be pretty good, but, you can only use a small ammount...and by small I mean like the size of a pea for all your hair (shoulder length). If you do that, it works much better! I will use all of this product until I run out, but then I'm going to use the tresseme version because that one is much better.

This is my HG hair product for blowing my hair dry straight. I can't stand the rest of the JF line, but I'm all about this stuff and I've been using it for over 10 years. I'm naturally curly (think Keri Russell), and I'm never without this stuff. It does NOT work worth a flip when I wear my hair curly. But when I want to blow it dry straight, a nickel-sized dab on wet hair and a large round or oval brush does the trick, and I get no frizz or puffiness for the duration of the blowout. Don't use too much or your hair will look greasy. I also quit using serums with this stuff because on the second day my hair looked lank. Yes, it is possible to blow dry curly hair so that it looks lank -- at least with this stuff. It smells nice, it's dirt cheap and it works. What more can you ask for?

It controls frizz. That's about it. It weights my hair down and I don't know if it's too creamy or what but I can't seem to wash this product off my hands. I like it, it's decent for it's price.

This product does a moderately good job of controlling my frizz. However, I'm not a fan of the smell, and it makes my hair feel kind of sticky and dirty.

I used this on my hair after flatironing yesterday after having not used it for quite a long time...it's alright; my hair feels very silky and smooth, and took away my frizz and helped the little hair around my part stay down. It's good for the price. However, I prefer TIGI Afterparty because you get a lot more product and it smells much nicer. Plus it is lighter and doesn't weigh your hair down like Secret Weapon can if you use too much. I'm going to try to use this up this summer, so I'm not wasting product, but I'd rather pay more for Afterparty.

I won't ever buy this again cas I won't ever use up the first tube.

It promised so much - sounded perfect for what my heat damaged highlighter hair needed. I hopeed for luminous, frizz free, shiny hair.

But really it gave me no shine, didn't help the frizz, was too thick to distrubute evenly and went hard!

I wanted to like this, I wanted it to be my HG, to throw it in my bag to fix my hair whenever I needed a secret weapon - but it really did not work!

Has a nice intent.. The way they describe sounds really nice, but it doesn't really do anything to my hair. My hair looks exactly the same. The smell is just a sunscreen smell, so at least it will protect your hair from UV light... maybe. Wouldn't buy it again since it was ineffective.

Used Secret weapon when it was first introduced. The packaging and product claims caught my eye...However, I was disappointed. The scent was gross, left a film on my hair, made it greasy-the only thing that it did was smooth my hair a bit but didn't add gloss or anything. It just felt tacky.

Do NOT overload on this product. A little goes a long way, or you'll get a film on your hands whenever you touch your hair. It helps with the poofiness and I'd say it's a good product for the price. You can find better.

I wish I could give this a 0 !! This creme is the worst thing I have ever tried for frizz! It smelled bad, it left a thin film wherever I applied it, even when I used a tiny amount and tried to spread it out as much as possible. It didn't do anything for my frizz, except maybe weigh it down in certain places, and it made my hair drier. This is one of the worst "beauty" products I have ever come across. Will never repurchase again.

This is to be my secret weapon. Not sure why other people tried it and hated it. It's working very well for me. Keeping my hair shiny and the fly-aways are at bay. My hair is fine, dry, medium length. EDIT: Stopped working for me, went straight into the trash.

This can work if you are extremely careful and apply very evenly, unfortunately I am not skilled with this technique and therefore this clumped in certain hair sections and made them feel crispy and stiff instead of silky and smooth. I love the name, the idea, the theory bt it just didn't translate. I will continue to use up remainder of bottle as I hate waste but I will not repurchase

I use this product when I style straight. I have wavy/frizzy hair. It helps maintain no frizz. I will have to try it when I scrunch my curls!

No smell, not sticky or crunchy.
