I was looking forward to trying this as often times, at the end of the year sale when ordering a lot of candles to tide me over till the next one, it is out of stock. It's a unique, strong, masculine, scent. Once lit I most often burn until gone but this one, for me, becomes overpowering so lighting it for a few hours here and there works better. Having only used it for a few days my thoughts are I'd be unlikely to purchase again but it may, in time, grow on me as has been the case with a couple of others.

This is my husband's favorite smell. I always burn this when he is around and it reminds me of him. I would't suggest this to someone that is 'scared' of strong smells. It is very heavy and makes your whole house smell like men's cologne. I will always repurchase this not for me, but for my husband.

The candle quality is great and wonderful but, this scent just isn't for me. It smells like mens colonge which instantly reminds me of axe which is just to strong and over powering. If you like that scent then this candle would be great for you but just not for me.

OMG this is the best smelling candle in the world in my opinion.. I love it so much.. I thinks it smells a bit like mens colone in a way if that makes sense .. besides being black which can be odd at first I have the candles, minis and huge ones and also the car air freshener cant get enough of this scent

Haha me and friends jokingly call this the "sex candle." It's awesome...It can be very strong but at the same time, you kinda want that in a candle if it's the right scent! Reminds me a lot of men's cologne...and I like men's cologne :)

I love this sent! it smell like Drakkar Noir, which is my favourite smell on a man. I only buy the little tarts, which cost 99p but the big jars here in the UK are about 18.99 which is just a bit too much in my opinion for a candle. I love most of the yankee candles but this is just a great unique smell, great for a change from your typical smells.

I totally agree with the other reviewers who state this smells like a yummy man, it's delicious! This is in my top 5 Yankee scents and I keep going back to it time and time again. It actually puts me in the mood when I burn this one :)

This candle reminds me of my ex boyfriend (which is NOT a good thing). I have to say this candle smells good. He is the one who introduced it to me. It is all he would use in his home. I wish I could enjoy this wonderfully scented aroma without stirring up negative emotions regarding him.

Gorgeous scent. Out of all the Yankee candles I smelt, this was the one that really grabbed at me.
I've been using this candle constantly and now it's burnt out ): I wish I could get another one. I got this at Bed, Bath and Beyond when they were going bankrupt for I think 3.99 (:

This is what my room smells like right now. I feel like a man has been rolling around in my room. Wait..I need to add, a very sexy outdoorsy man. Why such a man would be rolling around in my room, I have no clue. He is an insane sexy outdoorsy man.
Went into Yankee Candles the other day and sniffed at pretty much all the ones they had. This one was the one that caught my attention the most. The scent is masculine but not too overpowering. It didn't give me a massive headache like the other ones did.

I purchased this one for my 11 year old son, who loves it. I do enjoy this masculine, cheap cologne-like fragrance once in a while, but I would not buy this for myself.

I doubt I'll get this one again. I got this in the tart. I used to buy the votives a bit in the 90s because they were black, but now it just reminds me of Drakkar Noir, and in the tart, who cares what color it is. It's an ok scent for the home, but I get tired of it after a while. I didn't even let it burn until it was "finished" with its scent, after about 5-6 hours of use (not continuous), I was sick of it. It smells a bit outdoorsy and calming; I smell a lot of vetiver in it, but I'd rather smell this type of scent on a guy, than around my house.

This is my favorite Yankee candle scent and has been for years. I never get tired of it. It doesn't give me a headache like many candle scents (especially the clean/aquatic scents) do. It reminds me of a man's cologne, kind of like Drakkar Noir, which I happen to like. I don't light it all the time and it still scents the room nicely. I will buy this scent as long as it's available. I definitely like this instead of the endless cinnamon apple cookie spice scents and the three hundred headache-inducing ocean-water-cotton scents.

This scent drives me crazy. In the best way possible. Like everyone else said, it has a strong men's cologne like smell. Something about it makes me melt. It's a very sexy candle with a really calming scent.

This is a very strong scent, my moms favorite. It smells like men's cologne to me which I love- but it's not the greatest men's cologne smell lol. It's ok from time to time but I wouldn't want to smell it constantly. She has a car freshener of this scent, and it's nice to smell when I ride somewhere with her or when she decides to light the candle we have of this scent in the house but I would not buy for myself..I go for the food scented candles.

It's quite a pleasant smell, but I just don't want my flat smelling all manly, unless it's caused by a real man, haha. Won't purchase this again, but I sniff it from time to time.

While I can understand the "men's cologne" reviews, to me, it smells like soap. Like somebody just got done showering. Fresh and soapy. That's what this scent is. I love it. It is more perfumey and therefore, different than the typical fruit and flowers that most buy from yankee, but I love this one. It has good throw (some of yankee's don't), so don't buy it if perfume scent bug you. This is a good, unisex fragrance.
Edited- changed rating from 5 to a 4. A bit too perfumey to me. I much prefer the Sage and Citrus.

It definitely has a strong masculine smell, but it is not overpowering. It is one of my favorite scents at Yankee! I think if you like the smell of men's cologne, you will for sure love this candle.
