Please do not buy this if you wear waterproof liner and mascara. It won't do a good job at removing either. For non-waterproof eye makeup it works well, and it's also nice to have around for picking up any fallout, by putting a little on a cotton swab. I'm used to more gel or watery makeup removers, so the lotion based consistency of this took some getting used to. Apply a dime sized amount to a cotton pad, fold the pad in half to saturate the entire surface and then press the cotton pad to the eyelids for a few seconds before wiping. The formula is very gentle like the product name says, and it doesn't cause any redness or itching no matter how much I apply. Still, I won't repurchase because I dislike having two different eye makeup removers on hand. I still prefer Lancome's Bi-Facil and Neutrogena's eye makeup removers.

I love love love this product. It is so gentle and so smooth on your eyes. The formula is unique and not water and oil like most. This is almost like a serum. Please try it!

As a male actor it is vitally important for me(well at least my male ego) to get ALL traces of dramatic makeup off of my face after a performance. I was recently in a performance of Pippin where I had to wear rather dramatic waterproof eye makeup. I used the Makeup Forever Aqua Liners along with the Makeup Forever Aqua Cream shadows for most of the look. If you have tried either of those products then you'll know how hard they can be to get off. I mascara I had to wear (MAC Zoom Lash) wasn't waterproof but it did get it off completely as well. The best part is that it got all of it off in a flash. No tugging, no hazy vision, Just clean eyes...And I wear contacts so that says a lot. Also the price is a steal for the amount of product that you get. The only other eye makeup remover in a lotion type form on the market that I am aware of is by Clinique. I haven't tried it but it is $17 for only 2.5 ounces, with this one you pay $.50 less and get 1.7 ounces more! The best part is that you don't have to rinse it off after you use it and it doesn't feel greasy! I also found that since it was a lotion it was much more easier to use on a cotton swab to fix any mistakes that I may have made while putting the makeup on(unfortunately it was a low budget product so no MA on set).

I really like this eye-makeup remover because its so gentle. The only reason I don't give it a five is because it doesn't take off my mascara. I do like it, though.

Very disappointing. It doesn't irritate my eyes but doesn't remove anything. I don't wear much eye makeup, just eyeliner and mascara, but this seems too much for this product. I ended up using other products each time I tried to clean my eye makeup with it.

Like others it took me a while to get used to the consistency of this product (being used to clear liquids rather than a lotion) but now I have I really like it. It is, as it says, very gentle and does a good job of removing my day-to-day eye make up. Will buy again for sure.

This is a good product, effective and extremely gentle even for sensitive eyes, and not greasy. Too expensive for my budget though, so I will now stick to olive oil as a cheaper, greasier alternative.

I absolutely love the texture of this product. It doesn't do very well with removing waterproof mascara, but I rarely use waterproof so it does the job for me.

It took me awhile to get used to the creamy texture and how much to use but now that I have figured out how to make it work best for my eyes, I really like it. I love the creamy texture and it is soothing on my tired eyes. I don't wear much eye make-up and my mascara is NOT waterproof so I don't know how well this stuff would work if I did. But for a couple of coats of mascara and eye-lined upper lids with neutral shadow, this stuff works well. I love the packing too -- the flip top is great for travel! Oh, and I have had mine for three months and it is about half gone.

So gentle that it doesn't remove anything! Needless to say I will not be repurchasing. I do not use heavy makeup but I do use waterproof mascara and the stuff will not budge with this remover. Boo Kiehls.

I'm generally a huge Kiehls fan but I hated this product. The consistency is more like a lotion and not a liquid and it was difficult to figure out how to use it on a cotton ball. I ended up using too much and it really stung my eyes for several minutes. I ended up returning it to the store.

This product is DEFINITELY effective!! I've been using a Clinique make up remover for a while, and I can't believe how much better the Kiehl's one works! Its made a big difference in what I have to wipe off my face. It really does feel more gentle too.
My only complaint is the texture/formula - lotion is a weird thing for me to wipe over my eyes. I will get used to it though. I think I will probably buy this again - though I might need a few more days to decide for sure!

This eye makeup remover was a bit surprising for me in that it is a creamy lotion consistency, and not a thin liquid-type preparation that I am used to with eye makeup removers. So I find it a bit difficult to use when applied on a cotton tip, because the liquid ones I have used in the past would soak into the tip, whereas this doesn't. And even when applied on a cotton pad - it is easier to wipe over the eyes, but it just doesn't soak into the pad, which is what I prefer.
It is definitely gentle and does remove makeup, but I find that it isn't quite as effective as the product I was using before (Darphin). With Darphin, I also got a cooling, refreshing feeling which I liked. Overall, Kiehls is not a bad product, but it just isn't for me & I won't be purchasing it again.

So I read the reviews on this and decided to give it a try. I swung by Bloomingdale's and picked up a bottle. I had a hard time paying for it though- didn't realize it was so expensive. I went home used the product and now I'm hooked. It was gentle but effective and a little goes a long way.
I will repurchase, but I'll have to save up first.

I'm very picky when it comes to eye makeup remover because my eye skin is insanely dry, flakey and sensitive. I used to love Lancome's Bi-facil until it started drying me out. Then I discovered Awake, and I liked it a lot until Neiman's stopped carrying it and it became impossible to find. I stumbled upon this Kiehl's one and I'm so glad I did, it's very non-offensive and removes makeup very effectively. It's super gentle and hasn't dried me out at all. The price is very good too, quite a bit cheaper than Awake.
A little tip for mascara removal...I like to pinch my eyelashes in a curler, then use a cotton pad coated with remover to rub gently back and forth over the metal curler plate. That way you can remove every last trace of makeup without having to rub back and forth on your delicate eye skin. I'm paranoid about tugging the eye area because I don't want to stretch out the elasticity of the skin.

i love this eye makeup remover. it is "supremely gentle" as it claims.it does not sting or irritate my eyes. i took off a lippie because it does sometimes leave that cloudy residue in your eyes. i have extremely sensitive eyes and get styes if i do not completely remove my eye makeup, this remover does a wonder job at taking everything off.

I have used this eye makeup remover for several years after reading a review about it somewhere. It is gentle, never stings my eyes, and removes all traces of mascara, etc. without leaving any oily residue.
I pour 1/2 of it into another clean container and keep the rest in the fridge and it keeps for a longer time. There are very few products that I remain loyal to but this is one!

So gentle, no mess, no burning, stinging, itching. It's amazing. Have tried several others this does the job. Bit pricey but you don't need to use alot. I wear full eye make up; shadow, liner, concealer etc. removes every trace easily.
