Even though Im naturally tan (mac nc45 and face and arms are darker than other body parts), I've been playing around with sunless tanners to get a more golden glow. During my first experiments I only tanned one leg. When I placed the body gloss over the sunless tanned legs it looked so glossy and beautiful like those jergen natural glow ads in the darkest color. On my pale yellow/brown leg, the gloss makes it look even lighter and you can definetely tell there is sparkle. I cant say for sure that the shimmer stuff is silver or gold, but it works the best on tanned skin. Regardless it looks very natural. I love this stuff but it reeks. Luckily the scent fades to a very lvery very light orginal palmers cocoa butter lotion smell.
I went into the store and I only saw one of these bottle but the prenatal radiance body gloss was fully stocked and had the same exact horrible smell. In fact it looked and smelt the same except the ingredients are slightly different towards the end and it is 8 or 10 oz versus the 13. 5 ounces. i only paid $3 at my local freds. I will definitely buy this again before summer hits. I find it really hard to find sparkle lotions locally.

Much too shimmery for me...I wouldn't even wear this at a rave party in Ibiza, that's how much the shimmer annoys me! It smells quite nice and is pretty moisturising, but the shimmer is ridiculous and silver, so instead of giving a subtle glimmer, it looks like 2 year old dress up makeup.

i love this product. it works well. It smells lovely. I think it wouldd be better if it was in a tub instead of a bottle though it would be easier :)but the product itself it's great!

I love this gloss!

Although the smell is something left to be desired, it manages to shimmer while remaining discreet at the same time. I use half to a pea size amount on both my arms and my torso area whenever I go out and it feels lovely on my skin as well as eye catching. It's a bit annoying when there is leftover product on my palms but that's nothing a little water can't fix.

Definitely repurchasing!

Palmer's products are my HG of moisturizers. This makes my arms, legs and decollete look radiant both indoors and outside .

I really like all the Palmer's products, so when I got a tube of this as a sample I was quite excited. I tried it and it felt really nice but i didn't see the shimmer. I must admit I was quite disappointed, but when I went outside into natural light, they were much more visible in a natural way. I think that this gives skin a very realistic and natural glow, it doesn't look like you accidentally spilt glitter all over yourself. I think its a nice formula, and quite a good product for your money.

I must have got a bad bottle (batch to be more precise) because it stinks. I purposefully went and smelled the other Palmers Cocoa Butter formula creams and they all smell fantastic like chocolate (with the exception of the body gloss)! weird..

The shimmer is only noticeable in the sun. I am not sure if I love the overall effect. I expected to get glowing skin even with indoor lighting but it turned out to be more sparkly than glowy.

I am on the fence with the moisturizing effect: it seems rich enough and is too oily for me in summer. But now when my skin is dry in winter it wasn't moisturizing enough. It also made my skin itch more that normal.

My conclusion will be: if it wasn't for the ugly smell, it would have been an ok cheap body gloss lotion - but its not the case so I would never buy it again ...

I tend to use this shimmer lotion during the summer more than any other, probably because I like the color of the shimmer & have a hard time finding other shimmer lotion that I like better (believe me I looked!). I used to use Fruit Of The Earth Shimmering Lights Suntan Shimmer lotion but then it got discontinued. Great :So I tried others, both cheap & expensive, & I didn't like any until I found Palmer's for $7 or $8 in a large pump bottle. It's thick white lotion with pearly white shimmer that has to be blended in really well so as to not have any white streaks. My skin is not very dark, so the shimmer blends well. Then it doesn't show unless I'm in the sun or under special spotlights or flood lights, so I'm not glittering 24/7, only under the right lighting conditions. The shimmer is micro-fine, so it looks like a shimmery dewy glow. The lotion leaves my skin soft & moisturized.
The one thing I really hate about this lotion is the strong scent. It has that wonderful scent of cocoa butter that Palmer's is known for, but the scent of it in this lotion is so intense AND lingering all day that not only does it compete with my perfume but it makes me sick to smell it all the time. Ooosh.
In any case, it's a big bottle so I have a lot to last me for a LONG time. I usually only use it on my legs in the summer, as I can't take the smell of it on my arms so unbearably close to my face.
For my arms I found Burt's Bees Radiance mica shimmer lotion ($8-$10) which is natural, infused with royal jelly, & smells refreshingly light.
All's good now.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!
well, i do love almost ALL palmers products but this is simply amazing for me!
It smells divine
lovely glow without being to fake and glittery
it doesn't leave white marks on me but that might be because i have quite a fair skin tone.
I only have the sample size but i only have a bti left from using it so much over a looong time!
Not only will i buy it again but i'll buy back ups.
It soaks into my skin easily without being over moistusing.

The cream was a good consistency and I feel neither one way nor the other about the iridescence but I hated the fact it wouldn't rub in and left great white streaks everywhere unless you put some serious effort in. I also loathed the smell to the point of throwing the tube away.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!

It has such a subtle sparkle it really adds to you on a night out! Makes your skin glow and I always get comments when I wear it.
It smells great and at the same time it makes you look good while it acts as a moisturiser for your body.
Its really affordable and a little goes a long way. Definately worth the value. Not harsh on the skin and the sparkles are easy to wash off in the shower without making the moisturiser lose its effect.

Great product. It's taking me a while to use it up but I would buy again :) xx

So I tracked this down after seeing a segment on Martha Stewart's favorite products for summer where Martha and the guest said this is their favorite for summer. I couldn't find it in any stores, so I ordered it from drugstore.com. I have to admit, I'm very impressed! It's such a great summer lotion! I don't know why more stores don't carry it! The little bit of shimmer is so subtle, as is the scent. Love it!

I got this as part of a 'Palmers' hamper recently when I subscribed to a magazine. Actually, the only reason I subscribed to the mag was to get the hamper! :) I adore all things Palmer, and this is no exception.
It's a lotion with glitter particles..pretty enough to wear during the day and the fragrance is great!

I have about four tubes of this-I get them as freebies everytime I buy my moisturiser (Palmer's Cocoa Butter). It's very shimmery but works well to give you a bit of a glow. It's best used strategically-not used everywhere-if you want to use it all over you should mix it with your regular moisturiser.

This product is very glittery, the particles are small but there are a lot of them so I only really use it on a night out, and not all over my body. The main thing I like about it is that it is a way of adding some glitter alongside some moisturiser as I find that a lot of glitter sprays or gels can be very drying on my skin. The smell isn't as strong as original cocoa butter which initially disappointed me until I realised that it gave me more scope with my choice of perfume.

I got this free with my cocoa butter cream (which I am a big fan of, by the way!). I assumed I'd love this product as much as I liked their original body cream.

The bottle says - "Body gloss; for a deep, radiant glow. This rich, luxurious Body gloss illuminates skin with a subtle shimmer. Pure cocoa butter, vitamin E & other rich emollients provide just the right amount of moisture, leaving your skin soft & smooth"

I applied this before a night out, thinking it would give me a nice subtle shimmer & make my skin look radient. I got the shimmer...A LOT of it! It's like something you'd find in your little sister's playbox for when she goes to fancy dress parties. If you apply a VERY small amount, it will look subtle - but it will be so subtle that you might as well not have put it on! This stuff really sticks to your hands when you apply it...you'll have to give your hands a good scrub after using this.

This doesn't smell of the lovely cocoa butter body cream. I can't describe the smell...it's not horrible but definately not plesant. It smells like glittery makeup - that's the closest description I can give it. I used to own glitter babe makeup about 8 or 9 years ago when I was 9/10 & it smelt like this body gloss does.

I don't think it makes me look all that radient, just very glittery. Way too obvious for my liking...I thought this would be like a sexy, dewy sheen but it wasn't. Shove yourself under disco lights & you'll probably look like a glittery fairy.

I won't buy this in full size - I'm glad I only got it as a sample. I actually have 2 of them...but I doubt they'll get used.

If you're a party princess who likes to shimmer and gleam then this stuff is for you! Apply like a moisturiser to all exposed body parts and head out into the night - you're guaranteed to have at least someone come up and say "my, you're all sparkly"!! ha ha.
Seriously though, I really like this stuff and always wear it for a big night out. It gives my skin a really nice sheen without being greasy or getting all over my clothes. Its not glittery at all either - just shimmery. It smells just like the other Palmers cocoa butter stuff to me. I think it makes my skin look really nice - no need for a fake tan!
I wouldnt recommend this for use during the day or as a standard moisturiser though - it's a bit full on for that. Also make sure you wash your hands after application, unless you like the Tin Man look!

Body Gloss is a perfectly creamy and VERY shimmery lotion with a hint of silver, and a tiny squirt of this will do the job. I'm NC20 and find it too overpowering to wear daily during the winter when my skin gets quite fair. But during Summer when I have a golden tan, this is PERFECT.

A tiny bit on my legs, upper arms, and decollete to compliment my tan and my typically very dry skin feels luxuriously moisturized and looks as if I've just come back from St. Tropez due to the healthy shimmer. I do think it looks best over a tan, and moderation is definitely key with this product! Perfect for summer evenings.

I gave this a 4 purely because the smell is off-putting, and the only reason I don't use this more often. But if you love the smell of cocoa butter, you won't mind a bit! The reviews are mixed, but I'd say for the price it's worth a try.
