This is for the day and night creams----AWESOME! I just won a sample size jar of each of these, and after using them for only 2 days now, my skin looks brighter and feels smoother. The texture of these creams is so silky, when you put it on it just glides over your skin, and illuminates it. Just the right balance of moisture without being greasy--it's like velvet. For my skin to look dewy and bright in the morning is saying a lot, since I'm not a morning person and I don't FEEL that awake, but I looked it!:-) Both creams have such a light feel, and leave a freshly buffed look and feel to my skin---I love them!

Gold Emulsion: I bought this discounted and am very glad- the price was as cheap the product. This burned and caused small irritation bumps, and did not do anything it promised. I have very nice but dry skin and it did not hydrate me at all-I felt dryer, bumpy and red. It is very gooey and jelly like.
If it works for others though I am happy for you. I have a second nearly full jar to trade lol.

This is heavily perfumed and I don't like the overpowering floral grandma-scent. The consistency is very creamy and it really helped to reduce fine lines on my forehead, but if little pimples and uneven, slightly irritated skin are the price I have to pay it's not really worth it. I'm in my thirties and have combination skin, so maybe it's because this cream is just too rich for me. But maybe clogged pores are not necessarily a question of age...

I would like to say to the folks who say this has broke them out, your skin is probably not ready for such a rich cream yet. Lucky you! For those of us pushing 60 however, this stuff works great!! I have been using the night cream for several months now with no problems at all. It makes my skin so smooth & soft to the touch. It helps with the wrinkles as well, but let's face it girls, even Chanel does not rid one's self of deep wrinkles at this age. I have tried them all, and for the money value, Avon is just as good as some of those expensive name brands, & perhaps better! After this jar, I am moving on to the Platinum Anew. ;-) I have used samples and it works great too.

This review is for the Avon Anew Ultimate Day Cream with spf 25. After I saw that this won an Allure Readers' Choice Award, I decided to give it a try. It's a thick, rich cream that doesn't sink in immediately, and when I first started using it, it made my combination skin break out a little. This was in early October, so I decided to put it away until the weather became cooler and my skin a bit drier. Well, things only got worse! I developed some cystic acne. Can't tell you how happy I am about that! It also made my skin burn a little. Anyway, this is going in the trash. Buyer beware!

This is a great product, and I hate to give it such a mixed review, but that's what it deserves because Avon could improve on this if it tried just a little bit. I am on my second jar of this.
CONS: You have to stick your finger in the jar, which is unsanitary. Burns my face sometimes. So greasy that you cannot apply makeup for several minutes after using it. Smells awful, but fades quickly. This is September and I wore this every single day this summer on my face and neck and have tan lines. There is no way this product is SPF 25.
PROS: My 40 something skin looks smoother and younger than it did when I started using it back in May. I also apply this to my hands, and they look better too. I was starting to get brown spots on them, and they have disappeared. The crease from my nose to my mouth is barely noticeable anymore.
VERDICT: I will purchase a third jar when this one runs out.

I was looking for a more nourishing moisturizer as the cold weather was making my face flake. I picked this up at TJ Maxx and have been really happy with how moisturizing it is. And my acne has *not* gotten worse. I can't necessarily credit this lotion because I'm also on antibiotics and retin-A, but still. I think it has done what I needed, especially during the bitter coldest winter months. My only concern is that I don't want to go through an Avon rep to get more, so I'm looking for other options.

Absolutely no one does my skin like Avon, and now that I've tried most of their Anew line, I will remain faithful for the rest of my life. I am only 28 but spend a lot of time in the sun (don't worry, I take care of my skin, including SPF, sunglasses and hats), but my skin still shows the effects of it sometimes, and that can include just major dryness. I was using Principal Secret Reclaim and didn't even realize that I hated it or that it had temporarily ruined my skin until I switched BACK to Avon (a good reason why I ever strayed is non existent). So I went on a shopping spree and bought a whole slew of products to use at the time and in the future, and I did indeed pretty much buy myself a years worth of skincare. I was using the Rejuvenate line this summer, which turned my skin around on it's own. But we've been experiencing some cooler fall air and my skin was telling me it needed something a bit more. So I switched to the Ultimate Elixir, Ultimate Day and Ultimate Night, and on first application my skin was immediately relieved and looked more glowy. This day cream feels so thick and rich when I'm applying it to my skin. It's velvety and luxurious and I have no doubt that it will make my skin even more lovely than the Rejuvenate line. I also plan on trying the Ultimate Gold Emulsion and the Ultimate Premium Elixir when the weather gets even colder. I am hiding those in my aresenal for now though! Then once spring comes I plan on using the Alternative line, and then once again back to Rejuvenate for summertime!

Firstly I have to agree with the reviewers who think this works best for (dare I say it?!) those in the older age bracket (40+ - sobs!). I thought I'd wait until I finished my first jar of Anew Ultimate Day Cream SPF25 before I submitted a review and have to say I am now a convert! I find I have a "Love/Hate" relationship with this product: firstly I HATE the packaging (so unhygenic!) if you are going to supply a spatula it could at least be bigger and longer IMO! It also says a lot for the product that it takes the gold paint off the lid! I HATE the consistency of the cream - its a little 'slimey' and initially sits on my skin with a greasy film until it sinks in (so no good if you are in a hurry to apply make-up immediately after), I also hate the 'sunscreen' texture and the way it sometimes stings slightly as I apply it - especially after exfoliation and lastly I hate the fragrance uggggh! HOWEVER having pointed out the negatives what has converted me are the brilliant results. OK I admit I persevered with this product as I had no other at the time, but after continued use the results are fantastic and those of a HE product. My skin is so soft, really smooth and the lines around my nose/mouth and crows feet have been 'plumped up' and are visibly softened. My skintone is definately more even and the texture of my skin is beautiful. I also love the fact it contains a decent SPF as my work includes a fair amount of time spent outside (it would appear from other reviews and possibly just in the UK the SPF is now higher). Thanks to the great results of Anew I now find I get away with a lighter coverage foundation (EL DW Light) and don't need to use a covering of powder over it. I'm looking forward to trying some other products in the Anew range - I appreciate it doesn't work for everyone but I'd say give it a try and give it a chance to work - I'm seriously impresssed.

I cannot comment on the packaging because I have only tried samples of the ANEW Ulimate Day Cream. When I used a sample of this product it softened my laugh lines and softened the lines and skin ounder my eyes softended to lines the lines on my forehead immediately after I put it on. I was really impressed as I did not know I had so much aging. I would say this is a product for 40 years and older. I would definitly but it but it is very expensive for me right now.
I tried the Ulimate Creme for about a week. I don't like it anymore as it feels heavy on your skin and make my skin look greasy.

Yeah, its a product that actually does what it claims to do!! FOR YEARS, I have been looking for something that will reduce the puffiness at the bottom of my eyes. I've tried La Prarie, Murad, Clarion, Philosophy and beyond! None of those worked - until I happened upon this product!
Maybe my problem was the puffiness is the result of fat rather than water retention. All I know is now I can post-pone having to do cosmetic surgery for this! I've only used this for a week - and not only do I see a difference but so does everyone else!
THANKS AVON!!

Boy, I hope this has been discontinued. Seriously, I have never used a product that caused milia on the face. Eyes? Yes. Face? Never. I didn't think it was possible. In two days, my forehead and chin had several hard, white bumps. It had to be this rich cream that was causing those little culprits. I stopped using this immediately and after 4-5 months my skin cleared up. Of course, I had to use AHA ( burned like crazy ) to get rid of them. This was two years ago.
Avon is known to use a combination of inferior/superior ingredients in their skin care line. What's wrong with using only superior? I'm glad others are having great luck with this.
Note: After recently discovering and reading Skin Deep Safety database, Avon' Anew line gets terrible ratings. The Anew Ultimate received a 10 rating. Skin Deep's 7-10 rating is considered High Hazard. I'm so thankful, I discovered this website and became more "educated" about many products. It has made me re-think on using hair coloring products. Of course, I've known for years those were bad to use.

I'm reviewing the day cream. I wasn't thrilled with the night cream.
Pros:
*SPF15
*This cream is very thick and heavy, but absorbs amazingly well. I have ridiculously oily skin but this does not contribute to my oiliness, at all.
*Very smooth texture once it's smoothed on, almost like a primer.
*It lasts forever - I've had mine a good six months. A little bit goes a really long way.
Cons:
*I haven't seen it on the Avon website in a while and I'm really afraid it's been discontinued. Avon, why do you do that??

I have been using the day cream. I love the cream, I love the packaging, but it doesn't do everything it promises to. To be fair, I've never found a cream that does! It promises to have a lifting effect and I haven't seen that yet, although I have only been using it a couple of weeks so there's hope yet! It does moisturize perfectly adequately.
The cream is like whipped cream and sinks into the skin beautifully without any trace. The jar is out of this world - truly luxurious looking. It's a heavy transparent glass jar, with a superb domed gold lid. Looks much more expensive than it actually was.
The price was reasonable and I will be surpised if this makes any difference to a saggy jawline at that price. But I'll keep on using it anyway and may even buy another jar. because it's so nice to use.

I am typically a high end luxury cream user, but right before last Thanksgiving with the holidays on the way I ran out of my Lancome Absolue day cream. Wanting to save some money and knowing that Avon has very progressive laboratories with regard to i & e, I gave this a try.
I love the texture. It is not dissimilar from Lancome Absolue. It is rich but absorbs VERY well. It has SPF 15 which is key for me (something that keeps me from using La Mer as my daily), has very little fragrance and sits nicely under makeup.
I would go to this anytime I am feeling short of cash and need something a little less pricey. I like to experiment with what is new on the market, but I can see myself coming back to this at some point.
PS I always finish a jar of what I start, I finish it the to end unless I absolutely hate it, and I am finishing this.
EDIT: i don't know what made me say this has a light scent. it stinks to high heaven. And upon further usage, i no longer think it that rich. i find it to have a souffle-like texture that does absorb nicely but during this weird may heatwave i have to be careful not to overuse.

I am using this cream about 3 weeks, and love it, I use the night one, called age repair ultimate anew, I agree the smell is a bit clinical, but the texture is really lovely, I have also noticed like another poster that after a few hours , if you rub your face it kind of comes off in a crumbly texture, but maybe thats something to do with the skin renewing itself, i love this cream and will continue using it. I also use the ultimate anew, eye cream and find it good, but not half as good as Estee Lauder advanced night repair

I bought a bunch of samples by accident. I thought they were the Ultimate eye cream, which I do like. But this stuff burns my skin -- and this is not immediately after washing. I washed off my makeup at least two hours ago. This is my second time using it this week. I'll keep trying it ever couple of days until I like it or hate it. Right, I'm kind of neutral.

The Ultimate Night Transforming Lift Cream won't really lift anything but it is a fantastic elegantly formulated moisturizer. For that it gets 5 lippies. It's a little thicker than other creams, perhaps not as whipped and fluffy. It smooths on beautifully and keeps those flakies at bay, you know, the ones around your nose? I use Evian over my face before any moisturizer and it helps to keep the moisture in. I do not wake up with a super greasy face and as far as I know this hasn't caused any breakouts. This is not fragrance free but the smell is pleasant. $30 but occasionally there are deals, especially if you buy the entire line with the eye cream and the day cream.
