I've been using this face wash for couple of weeks now and so far I'm loving it!!! It literally saved my skin from the physical and drastic ruins done by BIOTHERM product line which I had to go and return to Shoppers Drugmart from where I had originally purchased it. After using it, my skin feels really nice and clean. I ended up getting the entire product line: the balancing toner, the oil free moisturizer, the warming scrub and the blotting sheets...So far so good. I will post another review in a few months to give an update on how it is still working out for me. I have a very weird skin type as it goes between overly sensitive, super oily, combination AND acne prone skin...so one can guess how bad my skin is. My skin reacts to everything and anything and its very very frustrating...hopefully Shiseido will keep up to my expectations...keeping fingers crossed!!!

wow... this DEEP cleans and makes your face feel fresh and clean. you need a VERY VERY VERY tiny amount cause this things suds up on your face easily. so for $20 a tube, i know this will last a very long time in the long run. as a makeup remover, i guess it removes a lot (revlon colorstay) but not completely. the cleanser itself is a light blue/white cream with little beads, but i think they dissolve once its rubbed in. i definitley recommend this as an everyday, tho a lil pricey it will last a long time cause you definitley DO NOT need a lot!

This cleansing foam dries out my face (including my hands too! :D) even though I have oily and acne-prone skin, but it really cleanses my face very well, and my face feels refreshed. I don't care about the drying effect, since I have the softener, the only thing that is important is the function. I love the feeling when my face is clean after washing my face with this cleansing foam.
I am on the progress of treating my acnes.
I think it will work if we use it properly as what is told by the SA. I was told to use this in a pea-sized amount, and rub it on my hands until the blue-beads fully disappear before applying it on my face. The lather becomes very thick, so it cleanses my face very well.
If we do it properly, followed with a healthy life-style (changing pillowcase every other day, brushing my hair, washing my face twice a day, eating less fried food, having facial treatment twice a month, etc), I'm sure acnes will not be a problem anymore.
Will definitely repurchase this. :)

I love this cleanser. I've gone through at least 5 tubes of this product. It lathers up really nicely and leaves my skin feeling clean. This is my all time favorite cleanser. Highly recommend it for combination to oily skin.

This cleanser along with the softener and lotion is fantastic. The scent is fresh, very cooling and soothing. I love the balancing softener. The three is a wonderful kit to have clear, fresh, soft, skin. I love using this cleanser-a small amount works well. Morning & night.

Not my thing. Does not clean my skin at all. After cleaning my face with this foam i got some feeling that the skin "Creaking of purity". But it was only feeling. Ieven brought the product to my beautician, so she can try it on my skin to. Her oppinion was the same, the foam does not clean any dirt or dead cells off the skin. After a week of using this foam with lotion from the same serie i had dull, simply ditry skin.

This Shiseido cleanser is expensive for a face wash, but you get what you pay for. I have tried to replace it with other cleansers to avoid paying so much, but nothing compares to how well this works. It leaves your skin clean, not dry, and oil-free. After using it, you notice less breakouts. It keeps your skin looking like the skin you wish you had without it.

This is one of the best scrubs I've ever used. I use it a few times a week (as to not strip the skin too much). A little bit of it goes a long way in cleansing your entire face. I think I would buy this item again.

Caution, this cleanser is extra extra drying. I have oily sensitive acne prone skin (what a combination). Changing skincare product is a struggle for me cause most product breaks me out, including this. Now, seeing the ingredients I thought they were harmful enough - but to my surprise, only in 3 days usage this cleanser has succesfully dried out my skin so much it peels, feels taught and itchy- so much so my sensitive skin starts to flare up with big cystic acne. I stopped immediately.
Maybe this product is more suitable for those with extremely oily and non-sensitive skin..

One of ok cleanser but it doesn't exactly clear all the oil as I expected. And it did make my skinn feel tight.
I have very oily skin with acne prone. By the time I used this product my skin was no sensitive and I did not find anything exceptionally good from it. Also, it's quite costly.
I'd suggest you try to find some sample before buying.

Great product for oily skin. However, if you have a dry skin you should avoid using this product because this product is good for people that have pimples. It reduces the pimple.

This cleanser is soft and feels good on the skin. It is fairly effective in cleansing the face, though I doubt you could treat breakouts with the cleanser alone.
It may not be able to treat pimples on its own, but it keeps the rest of the face clear and fresh.

I bought this product a couple of months ago and it replaced Clarins' Cottonseed cleanser. I like it a lot, it has a few beads and not too many (more would be too aggressive) and I like how it reduces the black spots on my nose.
Only downside is how it dries my skin BUT I counter that by massaging cleansing milk on my whole face before washing it with Shiseido's foam.
That way it works 5 STARS!

I have rebought this twice now. I love this cleanser & it lasts a pretty long time. All you need is a pea size amount and it will foam plenty. I have tried many other cleansers but always come back to this one. Pair this up with the pureness balancer & your skin will feel amazing.

The Shiseido Pureness line was my first skincare regimen. I have the balancing softener and the matifying moisturizer. I have acne-prone combination skin and this product helped gently exfoliate my skin with the tiny micro-beads... But my cheeks are super dry when I dry my face. Pretty good. Will repurchase. The lady at the counter was very helpful and polite, perfect for normal to oily skin.
To use, wet face with warm water and you only need a little for the whole face. Rub face gently for about 1-2 minutes concentrating on the oily spots. Rinse off with cool water to close pores.

I'll have to admit, almost all Shiseido cleansers are AWESOME. This one is quite nice too. but it kind of dries me out afterworth, so I can easily pick up something else.

Whether it works or not, I can't really say. It does the average job of any cleanser in washing your face. However, this cleanser leaves ur face really stripped clean in an instant - instead of making your face soft, it leaves it in a weird feeling where if u run ur hand across ur face, its like your palms grip onto your face. (kind of like when you wash pots really clean and check to see if its still oily). some may like that. personally, i dont. it's going back, i like my skint o feel soft not stripped.

This was alright but more harsh than the cleansing fluid by the same line, which I switched to and am currently using. Nonetheless, it cleansed fairly well and I would have liked it more if it didn't dry my skin (though the drying out wasn't to the extent that my face would feel unbearably tight. Just a bit less supple than preferrable).

Talk about squeaky clean! This cleanser leaves my complexion feeling tight and overly dry. It strips my skin of everything! It certainly isn't deep cleansing as it claims to be. After washing twice, there are still traces of makeup. There are far better cleansers out there. Clarins being one.

I have been using this cleanser for 2 1/2 years and now i'm on my second tube...although this product can be quite pricey but it is definitely worth the money! Completely cleans my face and helped to keep my acne at bay...a small pea size goes along way and foams up beautifully! I recommend it to anyone who has blemish-prone skin or even normal skin. and of course i will repurchase again and again and again!
