I am so, so sad that this was discontinued. It has been my signature fragrance for 11 years. I always get tons of compliments whenever I wear it, and my daughter says that it's "my" smell. It smells like a creamy, milky vanilla on me and I love and adore it. I don't get any musk notes on my skin, just creamy vanilla...and something almost like a graham cracker. I wish MAC would bring it back. I can't believe that out of all their fragrances, they decided to keep Turquatic. That stuff smells like straight booboo, old ladies, and club whores IMO. I found the MV fragrances much classier.

So upset this is discontinued, it was my favourite fragrance ever and used to get me so many compliments from both sexes! The lasting power was rather sucky and the amount you got for the price was ridiculous, but the scent more than made up for it - vanilla but with a twist. I agree with the other reviewer who said it was "milky". A very warm, sexy fragrance...very disappointed it's no longer available.

I smelled this in a MAC store while waiting to pay for my order and I immediately had to have it. This smells like milky vanilla and chocolate but is not at all sweet to my nose. Actually, today I had a (very cute) guy lean in to smell me and tell me I smelled like chocolate. It certainly is gourmandy but unlike anything I have smelled before in a fragrance. I have some other perfumes that I like but since I got this (2 months ago), I have not worn anything else, which is saying a lot, as I usually get bored very quickly with fragrances. I even wear this at home when alone, because it is such a comforting scent. The only problem I have with this is that it doesn't last long, so I usually have to keep spraying it throughout the day. The price is rather high, but the small bottle is very portable and I can Back2MAC it when empty.

My HG scent, the only reason I am giving it 4 lippies is because of the price they charge for such a small amount.
On me this is a yummy creamy vanilla with a hint of lavender. I get compliments left right and centre, especially from men! Lasting power is decent, 3 hours or so. Wish it lasted a bit longer though. The packaging is gorgeous aswell.

I absolutely love this fragrance - it's my favourite & I find myself reaching for this one every time over all my other perfumes! I really don't like the price though...it's expensive for only 20ml. I go through MV2 really quickly because of the little amount they give you, so it is a costly fragrance.
I suck at describing scents, but to my nose, this is a milky vanilla. MAC say there's lavender and other stuff in this, but I don't smell it. It simply a milky vanilla. Now, that may sound overly sweet, but it isn't (trust me - I don't like sweet scents!) Think of a creme brulee, but covered with warm milk and dashes of vanilla added (okay, that sounds nasty haha)...basically, I'm trying to say that's is somewhat sweet, but in a refined way.
The smell on my skin is SO sexy. Honestly; every guy I come close to compliments me. The first date I had with my SO 2 years ago, he said "Wow, what is that smell? It's like a creamy vanilla...mmmmmmmmmm!" Every guy at my university went crazy for it too, leaning in to me in lectures and saying how nice I smelt. Think of a warm milky vanilla cloud...yum.
I will definately repurchase this over and over again. Wish MAC would change the price though!

I purchased this perfume as I was looking for something totally different than what is out in the stores everywhere you look. I love vanilla scents so this was appealing to me. It is a musky vanilla scent which seems to last quite long. It is a very small expensive bottle 25.00 for not even an oz but I had a gift card. This is however pretty identical to vanilla musk by Coty from years ago which would be about 20.00 less. I do like it however as it is different and gives a comforting feeling. There are 5 or 6 other scents also at the MAC counter I would like to try.

I love vanilla scents however no matter how nice this was it was extremely cloying and gave me a headache. I tried to scrub it off but still lingered on. Returned it.

I purchased this on impulse, and to begin with I wasn't super pleased with it. Immediately after application it has this greasy, buttery kind of smell to it which is kind of gross, but I've kinda grown used to it and it does completely disappear after it dries out, leaving behind a lovely, soft, lingering vanilla scent. I wear it almost every day, and I'm seriously considering repurchasing it when I run out. Gross initial butter smell and all.

I love this perfume it smells like vanilla, my only complaint would be that there isn't very much fragrance in the bottle. Only .68 FL OZ when the average perfume has about 1.7 FL OZ

I haven't purchased this fragrance yet, but I will sometime this week. I sniffed this whilst in the MAC store today waiting for the SA to get my foundation from the backroom product stock. I put 2 sprays on my wrist and waited a few seconds before smelling it...WOW! It smelt like warm vanilla, and soon afterwards, I could smell a slight hint of lemon in there.
This is a very comforting, warm fragrance which is perfect for winter time. I can still smell it on my wrists after spraying it 2 hours ago which is good. However, you only get 20ml for £17, which is pretty pricey. Still, I think it's worth it for the gorgeous smell. Think my boyfriend will like this one a lot too ;)
UPDATE: Got my bottle today, still like it very much. Got loads of compliments from friends/family on how nice I smelt.

Okay, okay, so this probably isn't a fair review since I haven't actually bought it, but I smell it and admire it everytime I go to the MAC counter. Wow! I loveee this..I'm getting it for Christmas and I'm really excited. It's like a vanilla smell...and for some reason I smell some kind of caramel or chocolate in there...idk but it's almost good enough to eat! I adore vanilla so that may be why but this is such an amazing scent for anyone. And the packaging is durable too....(YES I DROPPED IT I'M A KLUTZ!!) and nothing happened :) lol

I don't dislike this fragrance, but don't like it enough to buy or wear it. It's a recognizably vanilla scent. I remember hearing someone compare it to Warm Vanilla Sugar from BBW, with the warm sugar and coconut notes and I could see the resemblance, in fact the bath products would complement it well. MV2 has a little bit of a tang to it though, which is probably the lemon, though I can't pick out that note myself. My favorite part of the scent was the drydown, simply because it was a very basic vanilla & brown sugar scent, which is nothing original or spectacular, but still very comforting and pleasant.
Lasting power was maybe 2-3 hours. It never smelled very strong on me.

the most god awful smell on the face of the planet. made me have the WORST headache...even after scrubbing i smelled like an old lady...the husband said i smelled like i had taken a bath in creme soda...not a good thing..this went right back...

I tried this fragrance out as a possible for my wedding. For some reason, the 1st bottle I bought had zero staying power. For a wedding day, you want something that lasts, so I went with something else. Since I wore it all the time preparing for my wedding, it still brings up all those happy memories. Every bottle I have purchased since then, the scent has lasted the entire day and evening. I love this scent. My husband is a big vanilla guy but I have never gone for those scents. This one is just great though. I love the vanilla, fresh lemon, slight floral (but barely detectable). It's just a unique, fresh, happy smell.

I decided to try out MAC's parfume only because it was new. I thought the packaging was cute, and the smell is quite different from what I would expect from most Vanilla frangrances. Its quite distinct, but an everyday smell that you get used to. However, I found it quite pricy for such a little product. By the time you get used to the smell, the bottle is finished.

Started out as a lovely vanilla almond musk, but quickly became pervasively perfumey on me. It wasn't a bad smell, but it was a little harsh and loud. Scrubbed.

This smells so heavenly! My friend had an eye make-up in Mac and when we turned home we kept saying: what is that delicious smell?? We thought it was the make-up, but it turned out to be the MAC-lady who wore this fragrance and probably rubbed some of it on my friend's face while doing her make-up. Next time we went to MAC (which was 5 days later ;-) I bought this immediately. Soo good. My friend bought the blue one, which is more 'marine' and 'woody'.

I love this warm sexy classy fragrance. It smells modern chic and sexy. Its appropriate for everyday and use and even evenings. The vanilla and lemon in this is so sumptuous. I just wish there were body gels and lotions to layer the scent for longer lasting power.
