Mine has shed only a couple of hairs. When it was new it felt average in softness, but like most natural hair brushes I've found after a few months of using and washing it feels much, much softer! I use mine in the same way as moopsmcphee her and agree with all the comments too! Its a good one for travelling as it never gets squished and I can use it as a 3n1 multipurpose brush. Fully retracted it is soft and fluffy for loose powders, slightly lift up the ferrule to make the hair slightly more short and compact for blush, and lift up the ferule further (around halfway) to make the brush hairs compacted and firm for buffing on mineral foundation. My blush tends to fade so if I am going out after work sometimes I pre-load the brush with blush and its all ready in my bag to refresh my blush for the evening.

This is a good multi-purpose face brush. I love how you can adjust the hardness of it by retracting it a little.
I use it fully retracted for powder, slightly retracted for blush application and even more retracted for contouring and mineral makeup application.
This brush has shed a few hairs, but it's not too bad.
It's great for travelling, and I like that it keeps it shape well.
The price of this is a little too high for the quality you get.
I think if this dies, I'll be buying the Too Faced retractable Kabuki, which gets rave reviews on here.

I have had this brush for years now, and it has not once shed a hair!! Am very happy too with the way it applies my bronzer. I have to restock and buy some more! Love this, works just as well or even better than some higher end makeup brands.

This brush is perfect for sticking in your handbag and carrying around with you everywhere.
Unlike, what seems to be a lot of people, my bloom makeup brush has yet to shed a hair.
It's made of goat hair and though it is not as soft as some other brushes it is long lasting and perfect for loose powder or blush, oh and bronzer as well..
I bought mine for AU$35 from Myer.. Much cheaper then some other brushes out there.

Not a bad brush, but not great either. I love the packaging - which to be honest is why I purchased it. I'm always after an attractive retractable brush for my handbag. But unfortunately this sheds quite badly and I don't like quickly dusting my nose only to realise I have an errant bristle sticking to my nose! The shedding isn't terrible, but it's more than I've experienced with any other powder brush. It is quite soft and reasonably fluffy... but it's also quite thinly packed. Again, it's not bad... but it just isn't wonderful. I would rather pay a bit more and buy a better quality retractable brush or another BB Kabuki. I wouldn't repurchase.

I felt in love with this brush before, because of the cute packaging and it looks very fluffy. I bought it and start to use it ... first impression - it does shade quite a lot. Second impression - the hair is too rough for my face, gave me itch around my cheek area and very prickly. I washed it hoping to get a better brush, it was very soft when its dried but it still losing hair and when i used it on my face, still prickling - but not that itchy anymore. I had to return it and exchange it with BeneFit Plush Powder Brush - loving it!

I love this brush!
I don't really use powder but use this as a blush brush. Am yet to lose a bristle (I've been using it for about 5 months) and find it soft and gorgeous! Would definately buy again if I lost it!

It's great for travelling. It also had a cute logo design in the cap.

I bought it because I thought it would be the same quality as the blush brush. but this brush is not as soft as the blush brush and the hair keeps falling out everytime i use it. Although the packaging is cute and lovely, I wont buy this brush again :(

This was an okay brush...nothing spectacular though. It was nice to carry around in my purse for touchups, but I never really seemed to reach for it. The brush itself was of okay quality.

I love Bloom's packaging - a burnished silver with the cute Bloom girl on it. I find that it doesn't work well as a powder brush though, it's simply too narrow and I prefer a brush with a large head. Also, the hairs aren't as soft as my Stila powder brushes. However, this is fantastic as a blush brush! It's just the right size and the hairs are hard enough to deposit color on the areas you want. I find the hairs shed a bit at the start, but it gets much better with use.

For the price (AU$39.95), this is a great alternative to Stila's retractable powder/bronzing brush. The packaging is much the same, but a little longer and sleeker than the Stila version, and in matte silver. The bristles are goat hair, and quite soft, and fluff up as you use and wash it. Really good for travel, and perfect for blush and bronzing/highlighter application. I prefer to swish a huge brush for loose powder, but this is perfect for it's portability and price.

I really wanted to love this product. I haven't had much luck finding a good retractable powder brush, so on the rec. of a Sephora SA, I orderd the Bloom brush online. It looked sooo cute when it arrived. Nice sleek case, cute Bloom girl on the front. When I took off the cap, the brush head was sooo soft. I thought it was a winner for sure. WRONG! The darn thing shed all over the place *every* time I used it! Arghhh! It shed worse than any brush I'd ever tried in my life. I don't know if it's just from a bad batch or what, but after 2 weeks of shedding (yes, I gave it that long to prove itself included a brush washing with a good brush cleanser, too!), I returned it at Sephora. The SA there said they've been having some problems w/ the brush lately. I guess it might have actually come from a bad batch. Well, I didn't want to reorder and take the chance of getting another bad batch, so I just ordered the Stila one instead. We'll see how that holds up...
