This is definitely one of my ALL TIME favorite mascaras.
It coats eyelashes evenly, volumizes, and lengthens!
And it never clumps or flakes for me.
I usually curl my eyelashes before application, but it's not super necessary with this!
And I'm not a fan of waterproof mascaras (I hate removing them), so if you're a movie theatre crier (like me) then this is a great mascara to use! The mascara won't make your eyelashes clump together or run down your face!

I bought this as I have run out of my favourite Maybelline Colossal volume mascara (the yellow packagaing). I'm in love with it, what can I say - probably my new favourite mascara. Lots of volume, no clumps, gorgeous black.

I usually love rimmel mascaras but not this one. Didn't give much lift or volume. Good dark black colour but that's the only good thing.

I was fortunate enough to receive a free Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam mascara in my Rose Voxbox courtesy of Influenster and Rimmel London. The first thing that caught my eye about the Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara was the unique packaging. It definitely caught my attention because of the bold and white appearance and the design. The bulls eye design is cool and went with the whole retro glam idea.
The second thing that i noticed was the way the mascara opened up. I like that applicator/brush wasn't skinny and flemzy I liked the thickness of the applicator because it made for a better handling of the applicator when applying the makeup. Another reason why I liked the thick applicator was because it meant that the application of the product onto my lashes will be effective.
The third thing that I noticed about the mascara was the quality. Once I started to use it on a daily bases I noticed that it wasn't clumpy on my lashes. The applicator distributed the product evenly on my lashes which made my lashes fan out perfectly. To get the retro look, a tip that I would give about using the Retro Glam mascara is to pay particular attention when pulling it out to use because I have noticed that the faster I pull out the applicator, the more product gets on it and with this mascara I can say less is more.
I would also recommend is to apply the mascara in a slow upward motion from the bottom of the lashes all of the way to the tip to ensure an even and clean distribution. The Retro Glam look is bold in my opinion, meaning the eyes have to be the main focus/attraction therefore it is critical to step outside of the box and experiment something that you haven't before with your make up. Retro Glam to me means broaden your imagination to create the best piece of art, in this case your face.
Being apart of the corporate world, the presentation of myself is very important therefore buying make up is a huge part of my life. I have tried a lot of brands of make and I have to say Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam mascara super exceeded my expectations. I love this product and it will remain a staple in my make up regimen or years to come. This mascara will be in stores November 2013 and would recommend it to all of my fashionistas and stylistas. Lastly, I would like to give a huge thank you to Influenster and Rimmel London for this excellent gift.

After a couple of years of buying more high-end mascaras (mainly Dior) I decided to go back to cheaper 'drugstore' versions after giving up trying to find a mascara holy grail.
This is one of my favourite mascaras to date: I've been using it daily for over 2 months now, and it still has plenty of life left in it. I've used a few of the scandaleyes mascaras previously from Rimmel and have been impressed, so I decided to try this new version, I was attracted to it purely because my make up is very 'vintage' looking (graphic eyeliner and red lips) so I fell for the 'retro' marketing. In summary: I really like this mascara, and I think it will now become my staple. I apply 2-3 coats and great long and thick effect that lasts well and doesn't flake. It doesn't clump, and I like the brush (I prefer traditional brushes: not the plastic ones or combs) - it's a decent thickness without being too large to manage. For about £7, this is a bargain. When Rimmel produce good mascaras like these, I feel no need to return to designer brands that are 2-3 times the cost.

I received this in a VoxBox just today. I am pleased with this product. It has a great black color and the brush is a nice shape and size.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam mascara is surprisingly really good on and years ago I bought a Rimmel mascara that I hated because it had an awful comb-like brush and it was supposed to be black but looked like an ashy dark grey on me.
But this one is quite highly recommended by me because it has a nice large plush brush not unlike the expensive Dior Diorshow mascara and it's actually quite black and rich in color. Scandaleyes Retro Glam is quite lengthening and thickening but it is slightly wet and has a risk of smudging when you're applying it but after that it dries quickly and doesn't budge for the rest of the day.
I like this particular Rimmel mascara a lot actually.
