I have never used this on my face, as i am too paranoid about breaking out with my lifelong acne struggle. I have, however, used this on my chest, which is extremely breakout prone as well. I was at the end of my rope with this dry, flaky patch on my chest that kept itching and turning red. None of my other non-comedogenic moisturizers were touching it. I tried this out of desperation, figuring it would be a good test to see if I broke out from it. I did not, amazingly, and my skin immediately felt soothed, the patch is gone, and my skin literally feels like silk where i applied it. The real test will be in another couple of weeks, to see if it indeed does not break me out over the long term. So far, so good.

This is the best moisturizer I have ever used. I have sensitive, combination, acne prone skin. My skin was getting dry and flaky from using benzoyl peroxide and BHA. This lotion has a light gel-like consistency and soaks in really well. This doesn't clog my pores. I use it under my eyes, and it can even dissolve my makeup.

I have combination, acne-prone skin that isn't as oily as it used to be in my teen years. I also live in Texas- which can be very humid in the summers.
I'd shied away from moisturizers for most of my life, even when using the harshest, most drying cleansers- because the thick, greasy lotions made me rightfully paranoid about worsening breakouts.
Complex 15 is the best moisturizer I've found yet- and believe me, I've tried every single drugstore brand (and ones like Clinique and Proactiv) over the many, many years I've suffered from acne.
It is not tacky or sticky, it absorbs quickly and it doesn't make my face shiny. It's just the right amount of moisture- my face just feels normal, not too dry and it doesn't have that gross weighed-down feeling. It's a little too light to use under my eyes (I like to use a thicker moisturizer there to prevent wrinkles).
I have used it for months now and it hasn't worsened my breakouts at all- and since it balances my skin after cleansing, I don't get oily a few hours later.
My only complaint is that the packaging is kind of awkward- it easily goops out too much if you keep it stored upright. Otherwise- it is my HG face lotion!

I've been using this moisturizer for about 10+ years. I love it. It's the perfect gel like consistency. It doesn't make my skin feel greasy and look shiny. It's hard to find at local drugstores these days, so I always order it from www.Drugstore.com, along with my favorite cleanser Aquanil.

I love this product! Prior to this, I had tried Clinique DDML, Cetaphil, Cerave, Oil of Olay, and numerous other brands, but they all exacerbated my acne and oiliness. I love how lightweight and non-greasy this is, yet it was moisturizing enough for me when I was on low-dose accutane.

I've been using this product now for a couple of weeks i love its light gel like texture and it does not give my skin that suffocated feeling i get from heavier face creams. I also like the flip top for hygiene reasons and I'll defiantly be repurchasing for my 20+ hr flight home to Aus (from Canada) because it comes in a handy 100ml tube.

I've used this moisturizer off and on for years. Whenever I start using it again, I wonder why I ever stopped using it. I think I"m a sucker for marketing and fancy packaging, and I always want to try the latest and greatest product.....but Complex 15 is my go-to moisturizer. It's a very light moisturizer, perfect for normal-dry skin. In my teen years, when I broke out, I also used this moistuirzer with success. It's so light -- it seems water-based. (But I don't know enough about skin care products/chemicals, so who knows if it's really water-based. It's light -- that's all I know.) I wish they made a version with SPF.
Like one other poster, I'm always afraid it's going to be discontinued, so I usually buy CVS out when I see it there.

i loved this lotion when i first bought it. it was thin and extremely easily spreadable. it felt great going on, and absorbed quickly. it seemed to help keep my acne at bay without being too greasy or too drying. after a while i realized it simply wasn't hydrating enough. after a longer while i realized it wasn't keeping my acne at bay, either. i gave this 3 lippies, since there's nothing terribly wrong with it, but it's not that impressive to me anymore, either. i'm finishing it up on my body but won't re-purchase.

i tried this product becase it sounded like it would be perfect for my skin type. i have combination sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts. i do love the price, but thats about all. initially it worked well, but then i noticed it was making me break out, especialy if i sweated alot during the day. when i had three new breakouts i decided that enough was enough. i gave up. i thought it felt tacky when i applied it to my skin and that it left a strange film. i didn't think it absorbed quickly because it always felt like it was still sitting there on my skin. it's too bad this didn't work out, i'll keep looking for my HG, but this is definitely not it!

I can't remember what prompted me to try this, but I'm so glad I did. I was using Cetaphil, but noticed it was clogging my pores. This is perfect- light, but very moisturizing, and great for taking care of dryness/flaking caused by RAM. I don't use it everyday, only as needed under my sunscreen. It's watery in consistency, but feels silky going on. No clogged pores, no reactions, a little goes a long way. This is definitely my HG moisturizer.

This is a wonderful moisturizer that I have used for years and years. A while back, the rumor went around that they were discontinuing the cream, so I stocked up on it and have a good supply to last me for a while. My mother has used this for as long as I can remember, and she credits it for the fact she looks much younger than her 64 years. I used it when I was a teenager, but when I got older I forgot about it in favor of more high-end products. Thankfully I rediscovered it when I was home a few years ago and borrowed some of my mother's Complex 15 when my skin felt dry. It works fabulously to moisturize and calm my skin. My skin just drinks it up when it is dry. I don't use it under makeup. Instead, I slather it on in the evening. I find the more is better also. I smooth it on like a mask and let my skin absorb it. I am acne prone with very sensitive skin, and I have always been able to use this without any breakout problems at all. I've used it off and on for 20 years, and it's never contained mineral oil. It's a light, very hydrating moisturizer, and I will never be without my Complex 15 Therapeutic Face Cream. It gets my highest rating of any product. 3-3-06 update: This is my still my very favorite and BEST moisturizer -- it beats all the high priced ones I've tried. This is a total holy grail -- and the cheapest of my holy grails. It moisturizes better than anything, which is amazing considering how light it is. It is the best. I've used it for decades, and I'll keep using it for decades to come.

I have only recently tried this product, but as I had also purchased a bunch of others at he same time, I'm trying them all out, so I may have to come back and update this.
I read a ton of reviews where people said that they have never broken out from this, so I decided to give it a try. It's very thin and liquidy. It soaks right in and leaves no film on my face. It's excellent for wearing under makeup, especially since it's summer. Your face doesn't feel slimy when you sweat, so your makeup doesn't rub off, and it hasn't broken me out, when many products do.
I can only use this during the day, because it's not enough moisture for my dry skin. Even though it's summer, it's barely enough, and I sometimes apply a second layer. This is a perfect light moisturizer for normal/combo skin, but for people with dry skin, it might not do the trick.

I've been using this lotion for the last 20 years.. on the recommendation of my derma doctor at the time.. Since then, I've tried other lotions and I always come back to this lotion. It is the only thing that doesnt break me out and it has no oily feeling but moisturizes very well. I now order this lotion by bulk (I go through about 1 per 2 weeks; I have extremely dry skin) online and live in constant fear that the manufacturer will stop making it!! In fact, I'm writing here just so that other people can read about it, try it and keep the lotion in circulation!! Seriously, so few people know about it, but it really is the best lotion ever. Despite my severe dry skin, I always get compliments on how smooth and breakout-free my skin looks, but I know it's this lotion and not my genes because if I go even one week without this lotion, I have the worst dry skin WITH breakouts..

It took me a while to actually try this lotion, but I am so glad I finally did. My skin is sensitive and breaks out pretty easily. This lotion is "unscented, contains no parabens, lanolin, or mineral oil...proven to be hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic (won't clog pores), and fragrance-free" - which is exactly what I was looking for. Complex15 is overall much better than Cetaphil is for the face - its absorbs very quickly, is not greasy, won't leave your face shiny, and doesn't clog my pores as Cetaphil seemed to do. It is fairly cheap, $9.99 US for 8 fl oz and you only need a small amount to apply to your whole face so a bottle lasts a long time. The only problem I have with this moisturizer is that when I applied it while my face was still damp, my eyes (which are very sensitive) would be irritated all day even though I avoided the eye area as indicated on the bottle. Now I make sure my face is completely dry before applying and I have not had any problems since. Thank goodness because I didn't want to give this stuff up!! Too bad they don't make it with sunscreen :) Definitely recommend and will buy again. UPDATE: Ok, this stuff started to cause me to break out!! And I began to notice problems with my eyes...I have stopped using for about two months now and my eyes are still bothering me!! I wouldn't recommend to someone who has sensitive eyes!

It is a great moisturizer for my oily skin during the winter. It does not make it too oily and moisturizes the dry areas on my face. It is also great to mix hyaluronic acid in. definitely repurchase during the cold winters.

I bought this lotion based on the recs from the skincare board. I was a bit skeptical because the label on the bottle does not mention if this can be used on the face. I also thought it was pricey for a drugstore lotion. It took me forever to find it too! BUT, I am so glad I decided to try it because it is so light and does not break me out at all. Paired with Purpose Moisturizing Facial Cleanser, this regimine has been working extremely well! I'm very happy and will repurchase this in the future!

This is a lightweight oil-free moisturizer with no scent or irritating ingredients, great for adding some moisture to flaky skin or combination skin with dry patches. It does have a comedogenic ingredient way down on the list but I've had no problems with this. Not for really dry skin, even though it's labelled as such. I got the facial cream version (very similar to the body lotion) for $7.50 for a 2.5 oz. tube at Rite Aid, a very good buy indeed. It doesn't leave my face as velvety as Paula's Choice Completely Non Greasy moisturizer or her Anti-Oxidant Concentrate, but the price is lower and you don't pay shipping. Highly recommended
