I flippin LOVE this stuff. I wear this w/ my Mac Studio fix and my skin is flawless. I get told all the time I look like a porcelain doll. I've never used any other make up primer before but I honestly have no desire to with this stuff around!

I have been using this product for almost 20 years now and love it.What I don't like is what they have done with the price. It started out at $14.95 than it went to $24.95 after about 8 or 9 years, that was okay as it had been a long time before any increases. Than it became hard to find in the stores, so i went on the internet and found it under Beauty Rose at the $24.95 price. About 2 years ago it went up to $29.95 still brought it. Now however in just 3 months it went to $39.95 talk about price gouging!! So now I am looking for something else I as I really don't want to pay their price because of what they recently did. Amazon.Con use to carry it at a discount price, but they are out of stock and do not when or if they will get it back. Sent several emails to Beauty Rose with no response. So much for customer service! So my advise is if you buy this product from Beauty Rose what out you never know what they will charge next!

WOW! I have very oily skin and many physical sunscreens break me out- NOT THIS ONE! It's helped to control my oil (it's a very hot summer!!!) and keep me pale. It does have a subtle pink tint, but I've never had a problem with the look of my skin. I have medium fair coloring think MAC NC-30ish. I love this product. I'm on my fourth tube (I use about one a month) If you have DRY skin you will need a moisturizer underneath as the finish is smooth matte and powdery. I don't buy at ULTA anymore. Yes they have lower prices but I've found alot of the time they are selling really old defective merchandise and when they give you a freebie it's because it was in the wherehouse for a million years. PRICE isn't everything and if it seems to good to be true it probably is, but then again incase anyone has noticed many of the highest rated brands on this site tend to be the cheapest (example the at home aspirin mask NOT!! save your pennies and treat yourself to a proper facial)

Since my skin has pink undertones this works very nicely for me! (Right now the Bare Escentuals Bisque is almost a perfect match.) I have been using this primer for years, mainly as a good sunblock over the Coppertone Sport 40spf. since the Ultima is a physical sunblock & the Coppertone is a chemical sunscreen. Then the foundation on top also has some sun protection too. This is one of the few products I've tried that never breaks out my face and leaves it feeling nice & smooth. It really evens out my skintone too.
Sometimes I use the Clinique Super City block. It seems very similar but is a more whitish yellow tone that looks a bit unnatural on me, but would probably work better for all of you yellow complected gals. Both products come in a soft plastic squeeze tube which keeps it sanitary, but when it gets low, I end up having to cut the tube open & keep it wrapped in plastic to keep it fresh. You'd be surprised how many more applications are left in the tube.

I tried the Laura Geller Spackle that everyone seems to rave about & it didn't work for me, it broke my skin out. Next I'm going to try the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer that also seems to be very popular. I know it's similar to the Spackle, I believe they're both silicone based, although from reading the reviews it works for some that didn't like the Spackle. I know I should just stick with what I know works for me but since I can now only seem to find the Ultima at Ulta online, it's really pricey by the time you add in the shipping cost & I can never seem to catch that 50% off sale I've heard about. If anyone knows when they do that, please let me know.

BTW, I've recently started using mineral makeup and it seems to work great with that too. Just wait a couple minutes to let it absorb.

I am pale, with freckles and a tendency to redness. This seemed to tone down the redness and I actually probably could just have worn this alone as a foundation. I like it; my makeup sometimes goes on a bit cakey or rough, even with moisturizer, but this helped smooth everything out. As with any product, I think you just have to find the right thing for your "type". It seems I lucked out with this one.

I don't know exactly how this works but it really evens out my skin tone even though I only apply a thin layer. It seems to make my foundation look more even and smooth. I have a lot of redness in my face and I don't have to use as much foundation when I put this product on first. And since my foundation is fairly expensive, I want to get the most out of it that I can.

When I first bought this I had mixed feelings about it. My skin tone is warm and fair. Applying this slightly pink cream did not make me want to run around with it alone on my face. After playing with it for a while, I found that when you apply it under your makeup, you don't need a moisturizer. It evens out the skin tone and primes the face nicely for the makeup application. The foundation looks more even (think pores) and lasts slightly longer. It's very good with really sheer foundations because it's undetectable underneath but it makes them work better.
I can't say that it blew me away, but it is a good product.

I bought this when ulta.com has all products from Ultima II 50% off. I used it during the summer time since I had combo - oily skin. This is not oily at all but if you have pale skin you might want to appy powder for foundation. I use this as sunblock since it has Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide so it is UVA/UVB sun protection. Good product but price is quit high comparing with Clinique Sunblock. But if it's on sale again I would definately buy it :)

IMO, this product is horrid! The first time I used it, my face looked slightly unnatural in standard indoor lighting. When I went outside and caught a glimpse of myself in the rearview mirror, I startled myself. Yuck! This product has a pink tone that made my foundation too rosy. In addition, it made my face greasy and my pores looked like craters. Thank God it was free! My tube is in a landfill somewhere.

I really wanted to like this. The idea of a primer with SPF was very attractive. But it just did not work for me. I wore it twice and felt pretty iffy about it. Although it did even my skin tone (not sure how it would be on warm, yellow toned people, though, because it does have a pinkish tint), it seemed to make my skin oilier as the day went on (not at all a mattifier for me), made my makeup look cakey, seemed to make my pores more noticable, and didn't seem to help with staying power. The third and final day I put it on half my face and on the other half only my foundation, and my suspisions were confirmed. Even if it did nothing I still would have used it up just for the SPF alone, but with all the negatives I swapped it away immediately. Maybe you'll have better luck. My search for a great primer and spf continue.

I was really excited to try this product and it worked great for a couple of days. Picked my complexion up, hid pores, gave a really good base for my makeup, but then the full face break-out occured. I never, ever break out on my forehead and bam! there they were....ack! This went back to the store, would be worth a try for someone who is not sensitive!

I got this as a free gift from Ulta, it helps even my skin tone and reduces shine, but other than that, I'm not sure it does much else. It's pink tinted, but I have no problem with that, the smell is sort of odd, but it's not annoying. I don't think it helps my foundation (Dior Teint Diorlight) stay or look any better and I wont buy it, but hey, it was free.

This is a good product. It makes my makeup go on smoothly and helps hides pores. The only problem with this is it is pinkish in color. I am already very red toned.

his really looked like such a good idea -- a primer and sunscreen in one, with a pinkish, white silicone base. i just couldn't get past the perfumy smell. not for me, alas.

I know a few people have really loved this stuff but on me it made my face look unnaturally pink. I wasnt really impressed with it. I need something that doesnt add color to the face. I'll stick with my NARS.

Oh Thank you Trishmarie..I adore this stuff..What can I say..Spf25 That's a big plus as I forget to apply regular sunscreen..I've tried so many primers,Smashbox,NARS,LM etc..they either did nothing for me or irritated skin and broke me out(Smashbox..yuck)This stuff left my face looking matte, feeling like velvet and pore free..Gotta love it..Ultima II is sadly a very underrated line..Too bad

I'm really loving this stuff! It's a slightly pink-tinted primer that has full-spectrum SPF 25.I find that it provides a great base for foundation, smoothing out little dry patches while not making me oily. My foundation looks much fresher for a much longer period of time. If you have dry skin, you might need a moisturizer underneath. For about $13, it's worth a shot. Ulta carries it.

As a primer, I really didn't notice anything outstanding about this product. It neither moisturized my dry areas nor made my oily sections matte. I saw no difference after applying my makeup either. But the fact that it has an SPF of 25 is great. So if you're looking for sun protection, this stuff is inexpensive and worth a try but don't expect a miracle.
