My makeup artist used this quad on me for my wedding. I loved the look and purchased it, thinking it would be reserved for special occasions. Nope, I use it all the time! I use the pink as a wash, the brown on the crease and v, and the green on over the iris part of my lid. It's great for during the work-week; in fact, I rarely use it for special occasions after all because it's so clean and understated rather than dramatic. Pigmentation and texture are both fantastic.

I dont care for the green or pinkish color. The dark brown is absolutely AMAZING. Best eyeshadow Ive ever tried, hands down. So soft, easy to blend with the perfect amount of shimmer and the look is amazing for a brown smokey eye. Has great lasting power.

The downside? The eyeshadows are very hard and compacted so I find I need to really dig and use a lot to get a decent amount of shadow. Also.. $80 for a palette? I only like ONE color.. I wish they sold these individually and didnt force you to buy the entire thing. $80 is a bit steep for only needing one color. Plus they are discontinuing if not already.. this is a sad day for me.. Im almost out. :(

I love these shadows beyond belief and am so sorry they are being discontinued.
I will state though, having read some of the other comments, they work best on someone with dark hair, dark eyes and very pale skin.
This is my coloring so I can say honestly that this palette makes my eyes just "POP"; I usually do a light eye with a deeper lip and have found the green really adds a nice glint to the lid.
Now as for those who prefer Dior to Chanel, I worked for Christian Dior Cosmetics in the past and loved their shadows, but Chanel shadows are just as lovely. Dior used to also do sheer textured shadows, but stopped those many years back.
If you are looking for a shadow palette that has intense color, this will not work for you. All the colors in this palette are sheer, pearly and meant to be layered and blended. A sort of Impressionistic approach to shadow, so to speak.
When I used to think of doing a make-up on someone for their wedding day, this was always a go to palette, with an eye-shadow base used first though.
Actually for anyone who wants more oomph out of this palette, definitely use a shadow base first, it makes a world of difference.

First weeks after I'd bought Le 4 Ombres in Nymphea, I feel little disappointed. The color too sheer even I always wear eye shadow base (Christian Dior Nude).
After I tried Lisa Eldridge's make up lesson about natural make up (watch it, it's really working), I love this eyeshadow !
You can count on Chanel to make a woman looks beautiful in a subtle and understated way.
The pink contains subtle golden sparkle that make eyes look bright. The green is quite sheer but very pretty.
Nymphea is definitely everyday eyeshadow, it's not for smokey eyes or something bold.

I went to the beauty counter and the SA insisted to do my make-up, she had some products she was sure I would love. On some of them she was right but this one was really a disappointment.
As anybody can see the colours are gorgeous, she used them all on me and they looked really great. Once at home I tried applying them with water as the colour would come better out, it created a hard shell on the shadows, I never used it with water again. Now i use them dry on primer and they never last 1 working day. I look great when i leave home and the first few hours that I'm at work but at noon when I check my makeup you can barely distinguish the colours and if I don't touch up you don't see anything once I get home.
I find it really sad as they are gorgeous and quite expensive, I paid almoste 50 € for them so I expected some better quality and especially from chanel.

This is my first eyeshadow from Chanel. Being an avid lover of MAC, I find that the Chanel quad lacks oomph. Pigments are not dense and do not last. I wouldn't buy them again although I fell in love with the pinkish cream, peachy pink and green!

I swapped for the european version of this quad which has the much smaller round e/s. I like the colors- great for a spring eye look. Color payoff is not too great on the 3 lighter shades so I have to load up on the primer potion and pack this on. But the colors are pretty - especially love the melon color- totally reminds me of MAC melon pigment, and the green is nice as highlighter and over the brown to lighten it up a bit.

Hmm....i think you could spend the money on better things. The colours are nice, but none of the product seems to come off of the blocks, they're like little rocks. Not the smooth, rich consistency you would expect from Chanel. at least you can't really use them up quickly. I like the colours, although they seem to blend together into a sort of grey colour. nevertheless, they make my eyes kinda 'pop', but i think there are better products out there. Not bad, but not really worth the money.

This is a beautiful palette! The colors are mint green, cream, a light coral and a brown that I would describe as milk chocolate. I would have never thought to use the mint green...it really brightens the eye area and makes my eyes pop. I use this in the inner V, the coral in the middle of the lid, brown at the outer V and the cream as a highlighter. I have really been into to smokey look, but this quad gives me a fresh, soft look. Perfect for spring and summer. I'm sure I can also create a light smokey look with this palette adding to its versatility. At the time of purchase, the MUA informed me that Chanel will discontinue this product soon. I'll have to buy another to keep as back up. It is worth every penny I spent on it.

I really love this little quad from Chanel. If you have never purchased Chanel eyeshadows, you will love this little package. The colors work very well together and the consistency of the product is like butter. They are super easy to use and to blend and go on like satin. Yes, I agree that Dior shadows are more pigmented, but these are more versatile and the quality is consistent. With the Dior quints, I inevitably have 2 or 3 colors I cannot use and some of them are chalky. I can honestly say I have never experienced this with Chanel--the shadows are consistently silky and smooth, never chalky. The finish is glimmery without any glitter or metallic brashness, just glowing and almost dewy.

Of course the packaging is the posh Chanel black and gold colors and looks so chic (it is plastic however). The applicators are practically worthless, but they will do in a pinch and the compact is sleek so you can throw it into a clutch if you wish. I don't care that the pigmentation is less than say Urban Decay or MAC or even Dior. These can be layered for intensity and you cannot make a super pigmented shadow more sheer, can you?

As for these colors, their is a peachy pink that leans warm (goes on peachy but it looks like it would be more apricot--it is more sheer on the lid than in the compact) and a golden green that looks more golden unless layered. There is a slightly greyed brown the color of bark and a champagne with a little bit of pink tone that is a great high lighter. (Brow color)

I usually prefer cool quads but this is perfect for Spring. Lovely in a word. The price is expensive, but it is worth it to me.

Very pretty light shimmery shades. A creme e/s underneath will really make the colors pop. Once I used MAC's bare study and it turned out nice; next time I tried NYX's strawberry milk and WOW, it was just beautiful. I got so many compliments that day. It's pricey, but a very nice quad.

Overall I like this little pallette. (Christmaspresent: tyvm mum!) It contains a champagne color, a green with a golden shimmer, a pink with golden shimmer and a dark brown. The colors are simply beautifull with a very chique finish. They are easy to blend and are pretty pigmented. The champagne color makes a good highlighter too. Surprisingly enough, the aplicators are quite sturdy too. I tend to have bad experience with aplicators like that.

The reason I took off 2 lippies is because if you don't use a base they only last a couple of hours and because it's expensive. I wouldn't buy it again because I think price-quality considered there are better products out there. I can't say I regret having it either though, because I do like it! If you're a luxury girl who likes fancy brands then you WILL like this, but if you're more the "just give me good quality for a good price" girl then I would leave this pallette.

too damn expensive for what you get. i bought this quad when i was working at one of the cosmetics counters at Macy's so i got a discount on it. and even with my employee discount i thought it was too expensive. i really liked the texture and colors but these shadows don't have enough pigment. the powder is very finely milled which i like but i expected way more out of these shadows. when i use the beige, coral, and light green shadows together. it doesn't even look like i'm wearing different colors. it all just ends up looking like the same shade of beige. i haven't hit the pan on any of the colors yet even though i've used quite a bit of the beige so i don't know how much product is really in it. but that's mostly cuz i rarely reach for this quad since it's just not enough pigment. this is my "i'm in a rush and i need to put on something" quad. to me, this quad is like paying way too much just to get the natural/not wearing makeup look. never wasting money on Chanel ever again!

EDIT: i just popped the top off the inside of the compact to see how much product there is. my quad is fairly new so it has the square shadows as opposed to the circles. the squares are pretty recessed into the compact. well anyways. you get the same amount of each color as you would a full size MAC or Urban Decay shadow.

Im not too enthusiastic about this product. Quality wise these eyeshadows are above average and last pretty long. I love the colors. Very soft and sultry. I mainly used the brown/beige colors but I found I had to use a lot of layers. They are nothing spectacular for the price that you pay. I can pay less than half the price for the same quality shadows. The worst part is probably the packaging. Not only do you get these tiny little goosebump eyeshadows, they line the bottom of each shadow with a thick hard base made of god knows what, which is probably about the size of at least 3 stacked quarters to make it look like you are getting more product than you actually are. In simple terms, I like to call it a rip off. The shadows were used up pretty quick.

I think this is being D/C'ed. My first Chanel eyeshadow and I like it. The texture is very pretty. The color could go from soft to more intense. The powerder is finely milled and it doesn't flake/cake on me. With UDPP as a base, colors last all day. I think the colors get better during the day for me.

This is one of the few e/s products that I have had over the years and used up, hit pan and went out and bought again. Need I say more. Very pretty, soft colours, neutrals with a gorgeous soft green. The ma at Chanel today, put the light champagne on brow bone & inner corner as a hilite, the green on ball of lid & inner half, the peachy colour on outer half of lid and crease and then dark brown on outer corner, outer half of crease. She also paired w/black jade liner which I do already have. I am very PPP so this does show up great on me. I highly recommend. I'm sure in another 3 years I will go replace again. Please, please dont discontinue this one, Chanel!!

This quad contains a sheer beige and brown that are both very useful. The other green and shimmery reddish color are also fun to play with. All the colors are very sheer and great for day time use. The green color is particularly flattering for warm skin tones. The texture is the same as the other Chanel quads. Would repurchase if I ever ran out.

too much money for such a small quantity. i used up the beige e/s in a month because pigmentation wasn't that great either. nothing too exciting about the colours too- at that price you can get the same colours at MAC with more quantity and pigmentation.

No reason to buy quad from Chanel again

I like this pallette because the color combos are endless. It's not just a neutral pallette. You can use them all together, or even incorporate other e/s in with it. I just love the look of Chanel.
