I've used this for my fine, fly-away hair for about 3 years now, and it is the best, cheapest hairspray out there for holding a style all day. All I need to do is brush my hair once in the morning, spray this on lightly, and I don't have to touch my hair again all day. I used to use Sebastian, but it was about $20 a bottle. This is only anywhere from $3 to 6 depending on where I buy it and if on sale. This stuff is comparable, but the mist is not quite as fine as Sebastian. The smell is faint, and does not scream "cheap hairspray." It dries fast, and does "volumize" the hair.
However, you do need to be careful to not spray a lot, and to not try to comb through it until much later in the day. You may end up snapping some hair if you try to comb it. However, I use it so I can AVOID needing to comb and brush my hair during the day. It keeps my fine, floppy hair from flopping in my face and does a good job. You do need to rinse well w/ very warm water and use a clarifying shampoo maybe once a week to avoid buildup. If you like a soft hold hairspray that you can comb thru, this is not it. If you want to spray it and forget it, this is for you.
