I love this and use it everyday. My brows are really light compared to my hair color and this product does a perfect job of filling them in. It is kind of expensive but I use it everyday and I still haven't made a dent in it. I love the brush, it works perfect for me. It is really hard, which some people don't like, but if it was softer I would end up looking like a clown.

I love this brow powder! I got it in Charcoaled and it matches my black hair flawlessly, with a natural look. I've thick, long brows already, but shape-wise, the brows are not long enough. So i needed a brow product to fill in some gaps and extend my brow for another 1 cm. It was VERY HARD to find a product that matches my existing black, long, and thick brows. Sometimes i envy some ladies who have next-to-none brows.. they don't have to find a product to match their original brows, and draw however they want. Took 1 lippie off because staying power is so so. I've oily skin, uses a primer, and by mid day i need to re-apply. The hard bristle brush the compact comes with is good as a filler brush, but it's impossible to draw/ define a fine, pointy brow tail. I'll find a travel size, slanted brow filler/ liner brush to replace this! As some reviewers have mentioned already, it is not very pigmented. Another way to put it, it's hard to pick up colour/ product w/ a brush. So w/ a soft haired brush, i swipe it back and forth for several times to get enough powder. Don't expect this to be like a eye shadow.

I have this product in Soft Brown. My lashes and hair are very dark but this color works for me, any darker and it would be obvious that I had used brow powder.
I indicated that I would buy this again, however, it's likely that won't happen for a lonnnng time because this stuff lasts forever. I've had mine quite awhile and have only just scratched the surface.
As with all Clinique things, the pigment leaves a bit to be desired. Its powder to pigment ratio is large, but that's what I've come to expect from the brand as a whole. So if this is a problem for you, it's likely that this brow powder won't impress you.
It comes with 2 brushes and they have very stiff bristles, you do have to clean them regularly or the product will cake and build up.
Despite not having super rich pigment, this powder somehow gets the job done. It has staying power and won't come off until you remove it, which is nice.
Overall, it's a pretty decent brow powder.

I love this product so much! It's not really a powder... it's thicker and hard to really explain unless you see it. The little brush it comes with is very handy... it did take me some time to learn how to apply this correctly, but now I have it down to a science. I tap it gently on areas that need filled in, and then I draw out the outside of my eyebrows to make them a little longer. After a week or two, you should clean the brush or a lot of product will get stuck on it and it will make it harder to get a precise application.
I truly believe that those who don't like this product just haven't gotten then hang of using it correctly. It looks very natural and it will not move or fade until I take it off at night with a wipe! I've used this for a year now and at this rate, it might last me over 5 years! HG for sure

I purchased this to replace MAC's discontinued Brow Shader in Charcoal/Maple. I have to say I'm surprised this is so highly rated - it's nowhere near as good as the equivalent MAC product.
Firstly I should explain that though my brows are dark, they are sparse, and I have to do some serious filling-in. I like the full and soft look rather than pencil-thin, so I use Shu Uemura's indispensable Hard Brow Pencil in Seal first, and then finish with brow powder to soften and fill gaps.
MAC Brown Shader in Charcoal/Maple was a staple for me. The Maple was useless (a honey-coloured shimmer for highlighting the brow bone, but way to dark to use for that purpose - makeup companies need to release that sometimes pale people have dark brows!) but the Charcoal was the perfect dark, cool brown. It was highly pigmented, so you only needed a tiny amount of product on your brush, and I often swiped it on my wrist to remove the excess powder before application. Nevertheless, it worked for me.
By contrast, Clinique's Brow Shaper in Charcoaled LOOKS the same colour, but is nowhere near as pigmented. That means you need to get a lot of product on your brush, and apply a lot more product on the brow, which to me looks artificial. The powder in the compact is quite hard, so I have to swirl the brush around a lot to pick up enough product. This is the quality I expect from a dirt-cheap drugstore eyeshadow, not a Clinique brow powder.
The shadow also goes quite hard and shiny in the pan, and the surface needs to be scraped regularly to get rid of the hard, waxy surface that builds up. It doesn't apply quite as smoothly as other products either, so it can look a bit rough and flaky, rather than the smooth and soft effect you want to emulate the effect of actual brow hairs. The brush of course is useless, but I didn't expect much of it. I use Bobbi Brown's Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush.
I'm not likely to repurchase this. It obviously works for some, but it makes filling brows a laborious process, and I don't like the finish. I may try a Bobbi Brown eye shadow in a cool medium brown shade instead.

This is a nice product to emphasize and shape eyebrows in a natural way. Just tap in some powder to fill in sparse areas. I got the soft brown shade, and it applies lighter than I initially thought it would (so it looked natural and not overdone). The only problem is that the brush is way too course and stiff. I feel that it would damage your brows by ripping out hairs, so I just use a small, soft detail brush instead. i don't know what they were thinking when they included that awful brush. It is more harsh than a nail brush.

I have blonde hair with a medium skin tone and I have used this in soft brown for years. Every time I stray away to try the newest and best new eyebrow products that come out including Anastasias eye brow pencils/shadows I keep coming back to this. I don't know why I ever try anything else honestly. This is very light, and applies in a very natural manner. I have sparse areas that it fills in beautiful without it looking like I have penciled anything in. Very happy with this product its def my HG for brow fillers

What I love about the Clinique brow shaper is that it's not super pigmented. All the blogs and boards talk about using an eye shadow powder for brows, but with that method, I think you need some skill. If you are not particularly skilled or a bit heavy handed, this is a good product because it's hard to end up with heavy brows. I apply with my Shu Uemura 6ob brush and the results are always natural. Last thing - "Charcoaled" is a great dark charcoal gray/taupe color for Asian brows. (Personally, I've never liked to apply dark brown or black to my brows, so this color has been a great find.)

I have naturally sparse brows and I've been using this for years. It really defines my brows enough while keeping a natural look. I have it in 07 soft brown, which is a bit lighter than the color of my brows (color recommended my the Clinique person). It rates a 3 in the Cosmetics Database FYI.

I must agree with everyone on this one. I have thin eyebrows which have a nice shape. But they seem to be getting sparse and this just plumps them up and can shape them up. Applies great and lasts all day. Color blends in perfectly. This should be a MUST for everyone.

I have this in shaping taupe which is a wonderful not reddish at all taupey brown. Looks natural, applies easily and I'm on my second or third package of it over a 12 year period..
Comes in a nice easy to use slide open box that doesn't take up too much room in makeup bag or counter, won't roll like a pencil, never needs sharpening, and the funny stiff little brush that comes with it makes a perfect applicator.
One swipe and done.
For budget reasons, I've also played with brow pencils, but honestly this lasts so much longer I think it's cheaper than the very cheapest pencils, because you would use up 6 or more pencils and still have half the product left in the box.
Looks natural on, and I have quit messing with pencils forever now.

Love Love Love! Own this in 03 Wheat shade which matches my naturally blonde brows perfectly! I used to use a pencil, but I found this powder looks more natural and the brush that it comes with is VERY nice and handy.

This is like an eyeshadow, so I've found that putting some sort of make up primer first on your eyebrows will make this even more long lasting. It's a nice little compact and you get a lot for your money. I think I bought mine back in 2009 and it's no where near finished. It looks very natural and the color is easy to build. My only con is I prefer a more precise brow brush so I don't use theirs.

Let me just start by saying I am an eyebrow noob. I used to only do the basics (eyeliner/blush) but now have completely fallen in love with all things makeup. Since I started adding more products to my daily routine, I decided to try filling in my brows because they looked lonely and light. This gives me the perfect hint of colour and it looks so natural! I was actually surprised at how easily I was able to apply it, and it lasts all day. I'm not sure how other brushes are but the bristles on this one are stiff and the brush in general is very user friendly. I tried playing around with several pencils before this one, and I realized I just do not have the skill to make pencils look as nice and natural. My eyebrows are quite full (as full as Asian brows can get) and I find this to just add a little more oomph, without creating any other interesting facial expressions.
Bottom line, this powder is pretty much idiot proof. I received this as a gift for New Years and have barely made a dent in it. Will definitely repurchase whenever (if ever :P) I use it up.

Let me start off by saying that I have naturally thick and full eyebrows, so by no means do I use this all over my eyebrows. That being said, I occasionally have sparse areas in them. For that, this product is perfect! However, my mom and grandmother both use this. We all have different eyebrow types, and it makes all of our eyebrows look very natural. Even the sparsest eyebrows look great with this.

This product lasts quite a while. I bought this sometime in January and barely made a dent in the powder ^_^ I have fairly thick eye brows and using an eye brow pencil looks unnatural. On special occasions when I want my brows to stand out a bit more I just swipe the powder on really quickly. I never find the application to look unnatural. I would definitely re-purchase, though at the rate i'm going through the product, I probably won't have to worry about that for many months ahead. I use the darkest shade. BTW you can't get this product at Sephora.

I hsve had mine for about 5 years and there is still over half left. I bought it actually from ebay for £3 not actually knowing what it was going to be like.
I dont like pencils as they look fake or just silly and i wanted something soft & natural that i could build up to a more dfined look.
I would agree the brush is useless and to use a stiff brush.
I thunk this has been discontnued and replaced because clinique werent selling enough but the reason is one pot will last a lifetime. Even so i found another one lurking on ebay so got it as back up in case.
I have very dark almost black hair & i use shading taupe & i dont find it at all red. If you can find this grab it!

Love this eye brow powder ,but hate the stiff little brush it comes with. I use my brush from my smashbox collection and it is much softer to apply. This is a very natural looking brow powder,I wanted wheat with having blonde hair but Clinique told me they no longer make wheat,so I went for the next lightest color soft brown. It does a good job filling in gaps and stays on all day.

I have this in "charcoaled," which is a dark taupey grey brown. Perfect for a brunette. It is an excellent product. I have had it for a long time (years, not sure how long maybe ten) and the only reason I bought a replacement for the previous Brow Shaper is that I had bought it in a duty free shop and the pan was loose, it would rattle in the container. I have used only a bit of it and at that rate, I am almost 60, it should last me for the rest of my life.
