My new favourite lipstick! I used to use Giorgio Armani sheer 10 until they for some reason changed the colour to a horrible red-orange. I took my old lippy to the LM counter and a lovely male assistant picked this out for me. It is SO much better than GA sheer 10. Really lovely creamy consistency that is fantastically moisturising. Also I'm Indian/ Asian origin so have slightly brown/ pink lips and this gives lovely coverage and somehow brightens my NC 42 olive skin. Love it!

Let me start by saying that I'm not really a lipstick girl; however that could be because I have a hard time finding something that looks OK on me. I have very fair skin, but my lips are soo pigmented! This would normally be a good thing, but sometimes my lips are so naturally red that they just look outrageous! I was looking for a lipstick to give my lips are more 'natural' look and tone down my lip color. I was at the Laura Mercier counter and the girl recommended I try this. I absolutely love it. This is the perfect shade for me and makes my lips look very natural.
The staying power is pretty decent, and I actually really like the smell.
I can see where this color may not be for everybody, but it's seriously the best lipstick I've found for my lips and I've tried a lot. I really love it! =)

Really creamy formula. On my pigmented lips, it kinda turns a nude with a slightly grayish hue...but I can work with it. It looks like it would kinda be a muddy orangey nude but surprisingly, it is not too bad! I like it and would try more shades!

Sometimes after reading reviews for product that I'm about to review, I seriously wonder if we're all reviewing the same product, but that's what I love bout Productville. Reviews are helpful but ultimately, it will always be YMMV. The color of Nude Lips is a lovely sheer warm beigey nude that's not too pink, peach, or beige for my lips. Most nudes are either too much of these three shades and do not work for my pigmented lips. I know I should just stick to medium-tone lippies that match my natural color but I want nude lips! Keep in mind that this is a lipstick and not a gloss or gloss stick so the finish will not be shiny like a gloss. If you're looking for shine, stick with gloss. Guerlain's Kiss Kiss stick gloss in Vanilla Beige #940 is similar to Laura Mercier's Nude Lips with a lot of shine. Be forewarned that the Guerlain is a whopping $30 for a small tube and although LM is not cheap, $20 suddenly doesn't sound so bad compared to $30. Of course with Guerlain, you're paying for the name and the packaging. Back to LM. Nude Lips is not an opaque lipstick so coverage is very sheer--like the name Sheer Lip Colour implies ;-) I did not find this lipstick drying or matte at all. In fact, it's a very lovely silky, moisturizing lipstick. I am fairly new to Laura Mercier lipstick so I'm not familiar with the old fragrance. I bought this lipstick several weeks ago and the fragrance is a very pleasant vanilla with no plasticy aftertaste. Overall, Nude Lips is a very lovely sheer lippie and I would rebuy if I wasn't such a lippie slut.

OK, I admit it. I buy so much makeup I have a new HG lipstick just about every week. This is the latest. It's a very moisturizing, warm nude, YLBB color. I don't need lip balm underneath, which is important to me. I've been wearing a lot less makeup lately (no ES or EL), and this just brightens my face and make my look complete. Highly recommended.
Update: I still really like the LS, but I'm officially back to my HG, Dior Addict High-Shine Lipstick New Look Beige #220.

Love this lipstick. A great warm nude for those of us who can't wear pink-toned nudes. Looks like it has a hint of orange in the tube but on the lips is just a sheer browny warm nude. Paraben-free and lightly scented with vanilla. Click continued for pics

LOVE THIS LIPSTICK!!! If you tried it prior to October of 2007 and didn't like it, you should give it another shot. I guess that's when Laura Mercier reformulated this line of her lipsticks. I read some reviews that complained about the taste and smell, but there's no taste now and it smells good to me - like candy or maybe even chocolate. The texture is also very moisturizing. I wore the lipstick all day yesterday and when I came home at night and wiped it off, my lips felt like I'd had balm on them all day instead of lipstick. This is also the first "nude" lipstick that has ever worked on me. Normally anything nude makes me look dead. This must have just enough peach in it to make it look like you've actually got some blood circulating. I wore it with MAC's Stripdown lipliner and it matched really well. I highly recommend this to everyone. Try a tester at Sephora or wherever you buy your Laura Mercier lipsticks and you'll see that the old taste/smell/texture problems are long gone. This might be my HG lipstick!!

This is a great nude color. Just enough peach without turning orangey on me. I went shopping intending to buy LM Discretion, but they didn't have it so I got this instead. I have naturally red pigmented lips so I was afraid this sheer wouldn't show up, but it does so beautifully. I expected this to be have more of a sheen than it does (it's more matte) but as a result, it stays on well, As others have mentioned, the smell is one small drawback, but one I'm willing to accept for such a nice shade. I am dark blonde, blue eyes, and light to medium warm skin.

A little too dark to be a true nude on me. Matte and quite drying. Tastes horrible too, like crayola crayons. The only 'plus' I can think of is that it has relatively good staying-power.

I don't have a problem with her packaging...the smell is gross, but I could live with it, if I liked the color, but this lipstick is just ugly. It's a lovely grayish orange on me. The SA said it was the lighter version of Bare Lipsheer, but it is nowhere close. Gross, crap, garbage, blech...

A wonderful nude for you ladies who have pigmented rosey lips like myself! I was SO happy to come across this shade while browsing around for nothing in particular ;) "Nude lips" is a matte (somewhat dry-ish though) medium beige-brown lipstick, that has NO grey tones whatsoever. I think some of you will know what i'm talking about ~ when nudes tend to look "greY" and dead on you. This is a wonderful shade, and goes absolutely PERFECTLY with LM "natural" liner :D The reason i docked this gorgeos color's score (4/5 instead of perfect) is b/c of the smell :( It has this manufactored-crayon smell, that i know is not from going rancid. I have a couple LM lipsticks and they all smell like that *rant*. Regardless, i would definatley repurchase this, despite it's price tag of $26+tx here in Toronto. :D

Wow! One of the few true "nudes" (meaning, no real pink/berry tones) I can actually wear. Usually true nudes wash me out and make me look dead, but nude lips has just enough warmth to brighten up my face. This is a great natural/neutral color on my NC15 complexion. As the previous reviewer mentioned, this color does not oxidize throughout the day, nor does it fade into other strange colors. :-)

This has been absolutely the closest lipcolor to an HG for me. It works really well with my complexion (very fair, pretty pink) and my natural lipcolor, which makes any lipstick appear shockingly brighter than it does in the tube. It gives a nice, polished look and doesn't bleed, even though I don't line my lips. Also, there's no weird and unexpected pigment left over as it wears (one example I will cite of this happening is with Clinique's Nude Splurge color...ugly pink pigment-y stain left after the pretty nude was gone) so my lips aren't stained. Meaning, I can reapply throughout the day and not worry about gradually intensifying layers of stain causing me to look like a clown. Highly recommend this lipstick...great in every way.

Not my favorite color of the LM sheers because it's a little too flat looking on me but with a little gloss over it, looks smashing. Not sure I will rebuy because other LM sheers are dead-on great with my coloring, but it is an option if you have more delicate coloring or like that Angelina Jolie lip look.
