I just came back home, ready to play with the new goodies I just purchased at Walgreens. Among them, there is Icy Mint color tattoo cream gel shadow. I was aware of the new colors/collection that were going to be released for summer 2013. Therefore, as soon as I saw it in the store, I decided to buy it. Well, what a bit disappointment. The color itself is original/unique for drugstore and the packaging is nice (glass jar is always appreciated) and that is why I gave it 2 lippies. But the formula is sooooo sheer. Incredibly sheer that it only leaves the slightliest cast of minty sparkle. And the consistency isn't the best either. And for some reason, it took longer than other color tattoos to dry and set. Perhaps because I had to apply more and more product to get some opacity. I am returning it asap. It's a shame, because if it performed well, it would be a great addition to my collection.

Ugh, so disappointed in this Tattoo color, limited release for 2013 Summer. I could not get much color payoff from this one, the formula was very light and smooth, setting within a minute, all it gave me on my NC30 lids were a wash of shimmer. This would be great on pale skin tones but there couldn't been so much potential Maybelline!

Comparing all in this field, it can hold its own!

This Icy Mint is a new color from the Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow line. I tried it because I loved the color. I don't normally love cream shadows, but there was no powder shadow like this color. It's sort of a sea green. On the lids, it's a little more powder blue looking. Being a cream shadow, I was afraid this would crease up, but it dries fairly quickly and doesn't crease at all. Wow. This particular shade is pretty translucent - you'll need a lot for the color to look like what is does in the jar. This shade is better with a powder shadow layered over top - it really makes your powder shadow color pop, but I wouldn't use it alone.
