I really like this powder I chose the shade 30 instead of 40 because i wanted to use it as a all over powder, I recommend if you are shade 4.5-4.7 in Bobbi Brown or Nc40-Nc42ish get it in 30 for a all over shade and 40 if you want to use it as a bronzer or contour powder. its a good product. doesn't cake and has a slight non offensive perfume smell hasn't broken me out I heard that it has a tendency to crack so handle with care.

I honestly bought this for the packaging. I wanted a Chanel compact mirror and found that for an additional 20 bucks could get an actual product as well. I use the No.70, the darkest shade. I don't particularly like the fragrance of the powder.Yet when I use it, its often to powder my nose or forehead when I am oily. I love that it is mattifying and light weight. It doesn't add color to my skin. I would liken this to MACs Blot Powder.

Why not 5 stars? Well, I think there should be some coverage BUT maybe I'm wrong for not giving it 5 stars since it's technically not suppose to be a coverage product. I use the No. 10,(lightest shade). This has the texture the lightest powder/foundation creamy and supple yet it's a powder. (I am not generally a Chanel wearer as I like to rotate until I find my HG of products and honestly I get bored so, I try to try it all and went through my Chanel phase over 20 years ago. That said it's still a go to line for nail polish and I always look for new item's that are truly unique and the Les Beiges line is that for me). That said.....the Les Beiges line is a bit unique IMO that this doesn't add cakiness or pile product on even after 3 layers of it, on me it still look's like nothing is there but there is a visible difference in your skin texture.....the best way I can explain it is like your skin got "blurred" but in a good way not like a fugitive on "COPS" :). It makes pores look blurred-hence smaller, it look's more supple skinned than dewy, it wears very well and holds the Les Beiges healthy glow fluid,(which I love, love-more like the best tinted moisturizer ever). I am not a big foundation gal, never have been. So, I can't tell you how it wears over anything of heavier coverage,(though I do wear it over my Lancôme waterproof concealer and it works beautifully and no cake! :), but if you use a oil based foundation it may not set well??? Powder does not like oil! So, any powder will not look good and will break apart causing patchiness. You would have to try it for yourself in that case? I hate to say this but I really LOVE the packaging...that ecru/cream whatever is different for Chanel but still they are known for it, nice to reach for really lovely, sturdy, classy. I would buy this again but I doubt I will run out since I use/need so little. Oh, and I have used the moon brush that comes with this and it work's very well I must say....I'm impressed that an included brush is this nice and sit's right inside the compact and look's gorgeous to boot! I do prefer for better application to use my bare escentuals feather light brush or bobbi brown powder brush. They also try to sell you another shade darker for contour/bronzing color but unless you really love it and want 2,(or even 3 colors some Chanel SA will push on you), then that is up to you.......but I can use the moon brush and swipe heavily on my No. 10 shade and can just sweep in the hollows of cheek or sides of nose and the product is enough that is will leave a beautiful contour.....so, I do not need another shade for that just apply the product heavier with the appropriate brush and you will get that without spending another almost $60. I do think it's a bit overpriced,(adding to the 4 stars),but I would buy it again and recommend giving it a go. Nuff said? Hoping this is helpful?

Lovely product. It is not a foundation or a pressed powder, but something completely different. It has no coverage to speak of, but it does make your skin just look and feel more healthy. I use it as a last step in my makeup routine. It just makes everything look a little bit better, and makes my foundation and blush look more natural. Great product if you love the natural look, because it is almost impossible to use too much of this stuff. Lush packaging.

I have rediscovered my love for this product and noticed that I had not yet reviewed it. I thought it important to do so as even many Chanel store artists even get this product. Of course the packaging is divine. Yes, it is a powder. It is both mattifying yet luminizing at the same time. This is nothing special though as many powders both low and high end are getting into this niche. I like to wear this product with my Amore Pacific cushion compact, by itself and with regular foundation. With the cushion compact, it just adds a little more coverage without disturbing the natural finish. Applied alone with a kabuki it is great for no fuss days. Applied over foundation, it ditches thw mask like effect, making it look more like real skin. In summer I wear shade 20 to enhance my glow in a natural way and in fall/winter I like shade 10. I am B20 in Chanel foundation, light but not extremely fair with a neutral undertone. What this powder does for me that others do not do is that it adds smoothness to my face. I have good skin but have larger pores and texture I do not like. Giselle who is the beautiful spokeswoman for this product also has some texture to her skin if you ever look at her photos sans makeup. This product does the same thing for her. I like the product a great deal and just repurchased it. It says a lot when a makeup hoarder like myself actually finishes a powder product and repurchases it.

I would say that it if retailed for half what it sold for, i would say give it a go. There is nothing special about this, its just another pressed powder which isn't particularly finely milled either. The distinguishing feature is that is give you a hint of a tan, which is nothing you can't get from using any powder one shade up. The quality is just average, its not even as smooth as my covergirl clean pressed powder lightly fragranced. If you use this to touch up during the day, its way too thick and too orange, hence its one of those things you use once upon make up application. If I could get more mileage out of it then I would give it one more star, but save your money, this really isn't that good to be curious enough to fork out what it retails for.

I have no idea if I like this yet. I've been using it for weeks but I'm still not sure. Over some foundation it looks amazing, like laura mercier silk creme. However over smashbox liquid halo its total garbage making weird separation happen on my nose area and chin. I don't get it!
It smells like heaven and has a lovey compact that even has a velvet slip you put it in. So luxe
I was mistaken in my assumption that it would have a bit of a shimmery glow to it. It's totally matte but still looks nice over the right foundation.

I'm not sure if I love this product, or if it just makes me FEEL pretty when I use it!
I mean, look at it. The packaging is gorgeous. It's a small luxury. Everything about it sumptuous. But I'm not totally convinced it serves me better than any number of less-expensive powders, like a Lancome or an Estee Lauder. Part of this could be how I'm using it. I bought shade 20, which is a perfect match for my skin, and I've been using a light dusting of it after foundation as a setting powder. I haven't noticed any particular "glow" when applied this way. Perhaps Les Beiges just works better in a shade darker, as a subtle bronzer? I think I'll try it like that next before kick it out of my makeup bag.

This was a pricey purchase, but there's no denying how great it looks! I'm using the 40, which is a shade darker than my skin tone. I'm using it as a bronzer. At first I thought it would be too dark, but it actually is quite sheer and bronzed my skin as I hoped it would. The SA told me that the powders are versatile. You can use them as a highlighter, bronzer, pressed powder, or for contouring.

This is a very nice powder and normally i hate powders. It doesn't leave your skin looking dry and dull. It is nearly invisible but still mattifies a bit while giving a subtle glow, i know these two sounds contradictory but it is what it is. It has spf as well, i am using number 20, and it is just the same tone as my skin, i don't like a tanned look on me. Very happy so far..
