Fantasy Island slightly disappoints me. It's mostly a sour citrus on me, I really hoped I would get more of a distinctive watermelon, instead it is extremely watery and overpowered by the citrus. The watermelon does become slightly more noticeable as the initial blast of citrus fades. I still like the smell of the fragrance, it's just not what I expected it to be.
Longevity is absolutely dreadful on my skin when I only spray it once. It will only stay noticeable for a longer period of time when I put it on the inside of my elbows or clothes. I also sprayed it on my wrists, but I couldn't smell it anymore after just 30 minutes. I've had eau de toillete that lasted a lot longer than that, so that's no excuse either. When I apply 2 or more sprays to my wrist the scent does actually stay put a lot longer, it will linger around for about 6 hours.
Fantasy Island is a really nice scent for warm summer and spring days. Whenever I wear it I will just overspray it, otherwise it would barely even be noticeable. I find myself reaching for it quite often. Once the sour stage has passed this really is a pleasant smell.

Husband surprised me with this scent for Mother's Day because he thinks it smells "HOT"...hehe. I surprisingly think it's very pretty and great for summer as it has a light, fresh presence. I smell melon, citrus, some floral and aquatic notes. I could envision wearing this while on a beach vacation and wearing a white cotton sundress and strappy sandals. I can't imagine a Britney fragrance to have loads of staying power but we'll see --- I'll have to update when I know more :)

I have been wanting this forever, specifically because the bottle is so pretty. Finally found it at Marshall's for $20 and tried it out. I like it a lot! I didn't fall head over heals for it but I do like it. It smells very citrus-y and lemon-y, mixed with Hawaiian flowers.Like lemon-lime with hibiscus flowers or something, with an ocean splash in there. I was hoping something called Island Fantasy would smell more like mangoes or coconut, pineapple and bananas (I am still in search of a cocounut/banana/pineapple smell, so if you have suggestions please let me know) but this is nice. It is fruity but aquatic, like smelling a summer breeze on the beach in a tropical place. It is a happy scent but not a stunning, knock your socks off scent. The bottle is just lovely. I enjoy many of Britney's scents.

I dont know what happened to this fragrance. It was supposed to be the summer block buster of 2013 and i have not even seen it in any stores. It would have been perfect for summer. It is not the usual Fantasy that smells like a cupcake or cake. Island Fantasy is citrus all the way. When i first spray it on i smell total watermelon. The watermelon lasts a long time but eventually fades to what i detect as pineapple. I checked the notes of Island Fantasy and pineapple is not listed as a note. I think the sugar cane note keeps it from fading to fast and being overly citrusy. Also, Island Fantasy isnt anymore citrusy than any citrus men's fragrance that is on the market so it would also work as a guy's fragrance too. Maybe slightly a bit floral like maybe jasmine but not too floral, a little musky and that's it. I got a compliment on it today so that was nice also and I'm changing my rating from 4 to 5 lippies. I love this fragrance and I think you will too.

I heard rumors of a new addition to the Fantasy line and I finally saw it at Kohl's. I do not think this matches the rest of the line since it's not sweet. I feel like Elizabeth Arden should have released this on its own.On my skin, its a light citrus scent with a cucumber note. The dry down reminds me of the discounted Blu Girl fragrance. I believe that this is a nice scent, but not special or well liked enough for me to add to my perfume stash.I will not purchase.

The mandarin is the strongest fruit note on me and, and coupled with the raspberry, gives the fragrance a soft, fuzzy feel. The lemon gives the quieter fruit a bit of bite and energy.
The floral notes used in ISLAND FANTASY remain watery and in the background. There is a breeze of orange blossom, freesia and occasional hint of violet underneath it all, but none of the floral notes are truly strong enough to stand out from the fruits for long. This is definitely a fruity perfume.
There is no strong indication between the heart notes and the base, thanks to the constant trickle of summery fruits. I'm sure there is some sandalwood here, as after a few hours ISLAND FANTASY begins to remind me of J.Lo Love & Glamour, which uses bucket loads of it. I also detect a coconut scent too.
Official Scent notes: citruses, mandarin, clementine, red berries, jasmine, violet, freesia, musk and sugar cane.
Overall: ISLAND FANTASY is pleasant and easy to wear. I'll mainly stick to wearing it on casual days, but you could get away with wearing it to work if you wanted to. ISLAND FANTASY does go close to the skin fairly quickly, but a faint woody scent is still detectable five hours later. So yeah; this is quieter and doesn't wear as long as the rest of the Fantasy line, so beware of that.
