I'm not a picky eye primer person, but I didn't like the texture of this. The primer is effective in keeping colors vibrant and preventing creasing, but the texture was rough and clumpy for me and I didn't find that it neutralized any redness/blue veins on my eyelids. I have to work at blending this in sometimes because it will streak and show in dry skin or even little baby hairs I might have before my eyebrow. I also dislike the packaging because especially the first 2 months I had it, WAY more product would come out than I ever wanted. I wasted a lot of product this way! Ultimately I would recommend it if someone's looking for a decent primer at a cheaper price because it does it's job, but I much prefer Lorac's eye primer even at a higher price because of the smoother application, precise amount coming out when you squeeze, and a tube lasts me 3x as long as the Milani one did.

Best drugstore eyeshadow primer in my opinion. My shadows go on so smoothly over this primer, stays in place all day with no creasing.

I've been a solid devotee to the NARS Pro Prime until I discovered this little gem. I picked this up when I was specifically hauling only Milani products (since it's atrociously hard to find where I live for some reason), and figured for being just below $7 it was worth a try.

I was very pleasantly surprised. Most eye primers break down on my super oily eyelids after only 6 hours, but this one lasted me 10 hours and was just barely beginning to crease at that point. I will admit I was a little skeptical initially, due to the fact this primer looks and feels the exact same as the Urban Decay original one, but even UD's primer creased badly on me after the 6 hour mark and the Milani was still going strong far beyond that.

As with most eye primers, a little goes a long way with this. I squeeze out a dot maybe 4mm across, warm it up between my fingertips, apply to my lids and let set as the package directs. While the NARS primer is still my HG (only because it has lasted on me for up to 16+ hours, which nothing can beat in my book), this Milani eyeshadow primer is definitely my #1 backup for when I don't need such intense longevity. I recommend this to everyone regardless of skintone or skin type.

This primer is so great at such a good price. My favorite eye primer will always be urban decays primer potion, however this is such a great drug store alternative. I have oily eyelids and this keeps my eyeshadow in place with no creases.

Let me get this out of the way first. Remember the little clear plastic mixing thingy on top of the ELF eyeshadow lock stuff which ran away from me, never to return? Well, I managed to lose the lid to my new Milani primer about 3 seconds after I opened the tube. No, seriously - I dropped it onto the kitchen floor, the dog ran off with it (I couldn't make this up if I tried) and we haven't seen it since. From either end. This is why I can't have nice things.

Moving on.

I ordered it online, unseen - because that's what I do - having watched a gazillion YouTubers and reading reviews here. I didn't expect too much because ... it's eye primer. It's not going to name cities after me if I show it some love, nor will it throw itself off the nearest cliff if I don't like it.

But you know, it's actually really good. I bought the Nude (01) shade (I'm assuming there are actually more shades ... otherwise why number them?!) and I only need a tiny bit for each eye. It also does a bit of color correction on my lids, too, which was completely unexpected but much appreciated. I did my eye makeup this morning at around 4, and it's now 6 pm and while I'm noticing some fading on my lid shade (I used W&W's creme brulee), the crease and outer V are still nicely blended where they should be.

I'll be happy to recommend this, and I think I'll be repurchasing just in case Milani does what makeup companies often do and discontinue their most popular products.

(What's up with that?!)

This primer is so good. It helps eyeshadow stay in place and vibrant. It felt greasier than I thought it'd be when I first started using it, but I quickly adjusted to that. I don't remember the exact price I paid for this eye primer, but it should have been around $10 CAD which is pretty reasonable.

This is my first eye primer, so I can't compare it to any others. But I can honestly say that since discovering this product I wonder how I have ever done without it. I think it is brilliant. I apply the tiniest amount under my eyeshadow in the morning before leaving for work and when I come home in the evening (12 hours later) it looks exactly the same. I even worn it for the overnight flight (16 hours journey) and my shadow still looked pretty good. The only problem for me is that Milani is not sold in the UK, so when I run out I won't be able to repurchase it until I go back to US.

Edit- no stinging since initial use, no sensitivity or flareups, eyes are doing fine and i have not experienced any issues!

There isn't much to fault this primer for. It does help eyeshadows show up/last (especially if your eye primer is mixed with a drop of water beforehand-- a trick a girl on MU board mentioned) even through sleep. even eyeshadows that tend to be blah. it doesn't seem to affect blending at all.

My main concern is that it does, on occasion slightly sting the lids, very slightly and just for a few seconds.

i am afraid this may, over time, develop into a full blown reaction on my (super sensitive) eyes. i don't like those ingredients on my eyes. If anybody has a recommendation for a GOOD eye primer that is better for sensitive eyes, please PM me!

I had always thought that eyeshadows didn't show up on me because of my skin color(revlon colorstay 370), which is not super dark but it was enough to turn me off to eyeshadow. It also didn't help that I have oily eyelids that glisten when I blink.
I know, crazy right? But I was young and dumb, and just like that I said goodbye to my dreams of ever rocking a smokey eye.
Then I learned about the wonderful world of eyeshadow primers, and being the noob that I was, I didn't want to spend a fortune it. I bought this product based on the reviews I saw on here, and I immediately experimented with it when I got home. For the first time in my life, my eyeshadow stayed put without settling into the creases, the colors were more vibrant, and just like that the eyeshadows that I had bought but never used were given a whole new life as I started experimenting with eye makeup again.
Eyeshadow primer is a necessity for any makeup kit, and you don't need to pay a pretty penny for a good one. I would recommend this to anyone

Where to start with this little drugstore gem? I have to calm down for this review because of how hyped I am about this product. I read the reviews, decided, "eh, why not? It probably won't work for me anyway." Please note that I have oily skin, and extremely oily eyelids. I've tried plenty of primers, from that Napoleon Perdis crap (biggest waste of $15 ever) to L'Oreal's Magic De-Crease (messy, dries too quickly, and flesh toned; I want a clear primer), so naturally I had low expectations for this $6 drugstore primer. I picked it up at my local CVS and decided to give it a try when I got home. I applied the primer on one eye and nothing on the other, then grabbed some eyeshadow and applied that. Hours later, the Milani eye was still perfect! I was completely amazed. After using this product for about a year, my opinion of it still holds true: best primer I've ever tried! There will be the occasional crease, but that's when I've been out all day and have been sweating a lot, and even then the creasing is barely noticeable. I'm very pleased with this primer, and I would definitely repurchase! To everyone reading this review who has been contemplating on buying this primer, go out and get it! Give it a try! It's perfection in a tube!
