This was my first M.A.C lipstick and I absolutely adore it! The colour isn't too loud - it's perfect to wear to school or if you're going for a simple look. Applying a coat of clear gloss makes it look even better. (:

I have finally found a way to make Mocha work for me (MAC C8). Because it is a thick satin finish, i find a very thin layer, properly blended, works best for me. I line my lips with my staple MAC Cork liner, very lightly fill in with Mocha and blend. A dab of clear gloss polishes up the look and i'm good to go with very natural skin tone based nude lips. No pink in here. Matches my yellow undertones perfectly.

I am a mac lipstick addict and wanted something a little more towards the nude/brown side so thought mocha would be a good idea. As with all other MAC satin finishes it is long lasting, creamy and lovely. However, for me this shade was a little too yellow based, and the best way i can describe it is that it made me look like I had fake tan on my lips. This isnt the fault of the lipstick though - i just made a bad choice of shade. For people with a cooler skintone this would be lovely and is a great lippy.

I usually opt for safe pink lipsticks, but decided it was time for a change. Was pleasantly suprised by the colour of thos lipstick, on my skin it looks like a pinky brown with a hint of coral.
Love this colour for everyday wear.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. This is my "GO TO" nude when I want a little more color, and not exactly "nude". Paired with Mac's "nice n spicy" lip liner, this is my fave "warm nude" combo! It feels comfortable (not drying) and applies like a dream.

NC 44 / C6
I love this lipstick, satins are my absolute favourite finish from MAC lipsticks. If you're a darker lady looking for a brownish, with a hint of pink, lipstick then I definitely recommend this colour! It's a natural beautiful everyday colour than can be worn ANYWHERE. In poorly lit rooms it comes out a brownie-pinkish colour but in well lit settings it's a very natural pink. My go to lip colour!!

A slightly medium brown with a touch of orange, I usually dislike brown lipstick, but I love this because its warmed by the orange. It perfectly harmonizes with brown skin. Brightening ones face. Can be worn with a brown liner but gorgeous on its own. Nw50

MAC's Satin Lipstick Mocha appears brown/pink on my skin (I wear MAC NC 27.. that's my skin colour so I hope this gives you a better idea!)
This lipstick is pigmented, and moisturizing. "Mocha" was the first MAC lipstick I bought as a teenager, and years later, I still find myself gravitating toward its natural, brown/pink colour. It's my everyday lipstick, and I think it is safe to assume that many people enjoy this colour as well - I was at a MAC counter recently and they actually sold out of Mocha!
I would definitely recommend this lipstick to others, especially if they are after a natural look and their skin tone is similar to the NC 27 shade (I don't know how Mocha may appear on other skin tones, sorry).
As mentioned above, I find MAC satin lipsticks moisturizing. However, for added shine, I like to use MAC lipgelee in "Jellybabe" after applying Mocha. It really compliments the lipstick shade!

Mocha is a medium to dark, tan terracotta brown with a hint of beige. if you can imagine for example, a matte face bronzer, very much like that kind of colour. because it's a Satin, it comes off a little matte and dark on my pale skintone, so i always layer it over lipbalm to get the best colour. a lot of lipsticks in this colour family are either brown or peachy nude. so this is definitely unique to me. it warms up my face and can be worn with any eye look.
i also love that it's autumn now because this reminds me of the leaves outside! i also love the name because i'm a coffee addict.
this reminds me a lot of MAC's 'Taupe' lipstick. i swatched them both on my hand. 'Taupe' is more matte, one shade darker and a HINT cooler. if that helps anyone.
i think this would suit a lot of people. give it a go next time you're in MAC!

I love this lipstick. It's long lasting and the colour is gorgeous. It's the only lipstick shade that makes my face look completely different when I put it on. It just makes me feel pretty!

The color looks great on my olive skin tone, but the formula is drying, so I have to use a really moisturizing lip balm underneath or I layer the lipstick over MAC's Viva Glam Gaga 2. It's a gorgeous color, but there are so many other dupes with better formulas that I would prefer. It is really similar to YSL's rouge volupte in 3, but this one is peachier so I do like the undertone better in this lipstick. Other than that, I know MAC can do better.

At first I as wildly in love with this color, but I started to notice that it is simply too orangey-artificial in natural light. My skin is light yellow, and I was hoping for my HG neutral. Back to the plus side, the matte formula is fairly long-lasting and the case is an elongated bullet shape that's easy to differentiate from my other lipsticks when I'm fumbling in my purse.

I'm an NC40 and this colour is perfect. I bought this when it came out with the surf baby collection. I absolutely love it. Its an everyday colour and the finish is perfect.
Sometimes its hard to find lipsticks that match my skin but this one is perfect. I can buy this over and over again!

There are lipsticks that are nice and then there are lipsticks that are 'Great' - against my warm beige skintone, this lipstick is even better than great! Mocha is a staple that I keep coming back to - its one of those colours that even if I forget about it or try another shade, I always come back to purchasing and wearing it again - its a colour I've decided to make a 'holy grail' staple in my makeup bag. I would describe this colour as a muted golden terracotta peach - there is nothing pink about it against my skintone - it leans into the 'brown/peach-orange' category! If you have a warmer skintone or are looking for a pretty brownish-peach, definitely try this lip colour!

I adore this lipstick. I have pigmented lips that are very rosy, and I'm an NC40/NC42 depending on the season. The color flatters my face, and it's a nice alternative if you're getting tired of wearing pink. Also, I would classify this as a lipstick that works better for people with darker skin/yellower skin/more pigmented lips since it performs better than the super pale, beige lipsticks that have been touted as "nude" colors. Even though this may appear distinctly brown on lighter skin tones, it pulls more nude on the traits that I mentioned. And as a result, it looks natural/healthy instead of washing you out!

I'm an NC 43...was recommended this by a MAC SA last week...tried it on...its a pasty nudish pink on my lips and i really thought it was too intense for me at the store but the SA insisted that it would look great once it 'sets'. I got it and roamed around the mall for another 2 hours...never really saw it 'setting' that much :S. It just ended up looking nicer after i had a meal and half of it faded off! What's the point? Its got great staying power and i'm sure this would look great on medium skin tones...upto NC 42...then, ladies, search for a better lippie unless you're looking for an intense pop of colour! Don't be fooled by the colour of the stick. Try it on, you'll see what I mean.

I love this lipstick so much! I'm an NC40 and this looks so beautiful on me. I wanted a neutral but not something that washed me out. It's a beautiful brownish peach, would definitely recommend it. It's also very moisturising. I wear this all the time. My new HG product. Only downside is the price, in Australia this lipstick is $36 which is a bit steep so I'll be buying from ebay!

This is a pretty peach/ orange brown. But, it's very, very similar to MAC Kraft lipstick (which I already have). So, that's why I wouldn't purchase it again.

Purchased this when it was released with surf baby. In the tube it's a not so special brown, but once It's on the lips it is a beautiful peach totally beautiful and unique. I like to wear UD midnight cowboy gloss over this.
