For those of you with cystic acne...and I mean cystic...not just the occasional zit or large pimple...this stuff rocks. I don't get cysts anymore, but when I did, this stuff was it. I think the combo of the sulfur along with the benzoyl peroxide does the job...but it is strong, so use carefully. I would use it as a spot treatment, only on those large, painful cysts I used to get along my jawline - and within about 2-3 days they'd be flat. Not gone mind you...those cysts never just go away...but they would be as gone as they ever could be. And I have been to dermatologists, etc...so I have used prescription drugs too. This is like sulfacet-R - meaning the sulfur in it is similar...sulfacet-r also would work on my cysts. If you respond well to sulfur drugs, I would highly, highly rec. this.

This stuff can really contain the emergence of huge zits if you begin applying it the moment you feel one come on. Normally that's in the evening after your PM routine. (And you really need to follow the routine Sage recommends. It's a pain in the A--
at first, but it really works. I found that out by getting lazy with it, and Kaboom--the zits moved right on in again). This also works great in booster doses---applied in the afternoon or early evening for a few hour and then again before bedtime.
This stuff, along with icing your face (I keep a frozen water bottle in the freezer and roll it over my face) is the only thing I've found that gets rid of the huge painful cystic zits I used to have to wear for 3 or more weeks---which is really embaressing when your my age (51) and work with the public. Sage is great.

This stuff is powerful! And it really smells awful. But that's a "feature" of sulfur. It really works well for spot treatment. Every once in a while I need something with a little extra umph--and this is the product that does the trick. I am not sure what the sulfur does--besides stink--but I have tried both the regular 10% version and this--and this one works a ton better. I would NEVER use it on my whole face though--OUCH!

I really like this. In fact, I think that it works quite a bit better than the fix zit 10% regular. This is best as a spot treatment or treatment of a small area that is broken out. I got no irritation & it really helps dry those zits right up! If you use it for two consecutive nighs in a row, the zit (even if it is a monster) will really begin to dry up.

Ugh! This product was a huge disapointment. First off, it did nothing to help the couple large zits I tried it on. The zits looked the exact same in the morning, except they were even redder and felt hot to the touch. Plus, the smell of sulfur was strong and lingered long after I washed my face! If the product worked, I would have took the sulfur smell. I'm staying with my Sage Fix Zit 10%, which works wonders and doesn't have a bad smell, nor does it make my skin red/irritated, due to the sulfur in the XX strength.

I originally tried this product when I ordered one of the Try Me packs fr. Sage. It works very well for spot treating huge, inflamed/red, cystic acne bumps. After icing down my face, esp. on the affected area, and applying a generous helping on the cysts in the PM, I wake up to find that the swelling and redness have subsided a great deal. I used to run to the derm's office to get cortisone shots for my cystic acne, but using this product along w/ applying ice in the PM, it cuts down on my cortisone shot runs. FYI, the packaging is way flimsy & no frills, but the contents inside are effective!

Love this stuff! I dot it on any blemishes at night and it really dries them up overnight.. And this stuff lasts *forever*

Holy burned skin! I used this on two stubborn "big mothers" I had on my chin a few days ago and yes, it killed them REALLY fast (about two days and they were completely gone), but I look like I have a 2nd degree burn there now. I've been slathering on gelloid and old lady cream for a few days and it's healing nicely...it should be absolutely fine by next week, but wow, I am peeling and flaking something terrible. I will use this again, but more sparingly (I was really globbing it on a few times a day - a big no-no!) and not on my sensitive chin again. I use it on my forehead almost every night - the zits are almost gone and I've had no problems with drying. It's definately effective but please be careful when using it on sensitive areas of your face!

I received a sample of this. It is a good product, but I found it worked too well on my skin. I got dry flakey areas around the pimples I applied it on. I found that for my normal skin, the 10% works great!
