I generally find Tom Ford scents way too intense. However, a friend decided to test a few today and I joined in.

At first, a strange blast of greens with a hint of smoky wood hit. It was better than some of his other scents but I still wasn't overly enamoured with it. However, after a while it softened and smelled quite flowery. As the day went on it became a dry powdery musk which I honestly wouldn't have thought I would like - but somehow I did.

Although quite strong on it's initial blast it is very much a unique scent and hours after spraying it's still transforming and amazing me with it's variation of notes and levels. For me it starts out as more feminine and transforms into an almost masculine tone but not in an unpleasant way.

It's very expensive, however, and I'm not sure if I love it enough to part with so much cash but putting this aside, it is quite luxurious.

My first Tom Ford Perfume. I am generally not a fan of his intense, musky, oriental, peppery scents but for some reason I felt like giving this a sniff and I fell in love. I agree 100% with the description the previous reviewer said. Its not too sweet or too strong, its a very unique floral, balanced very well with the violet leaf and musk.

Sadly, my husband says I smell "like an old lady" when I wear this. :( I know that this is partially due to the fact that he is used to me smelling like pure florals (rose, lily of the valley, jasmine etc...) and that this scent does have a "mature" smell to it. It doesn't smell like something a teenager would wear. It definitely evokes a feeling of a mature, classy woman. Its not a "girly" scent. I am hoping it will grow on him.

starts out floral and green like fresh flowers. Then the topnotes quiet down a bit and the floral heartnotes come on stronger and the drydown is lovely with warm resinous musky notes. What I love most about this scent is that it is not too sweet or strong.

Top notes are galbanum, violet leaf, magnolia petals and olibanum; middle notes are hyacinth, pink pepper and jasmine; base notes are galbanum, benzoin and musk.
