I use all of the jan marini steps plus a few more, I love the consistency of this and the dewy finish it leaves. My 10 year old daughter uses it everyday too !

Lightweight sunscreen that wears well under makeup. I have oily skin and this does not create more oily or cause breakouts. Light fragrance.

This has become my daily SPF + antioxidant. I can't say anything negative about it. I have sensitive skin that gets easily irritated by fragrance or harsh products - this one has a mild smell and the SPF does not bother me. It's very light, you do not feel sticky or like a film is on your face like some other SPF creams can. i have the pump bottle - it looks different than the pic here. Sleek, simple packaging. Yes it's expensive but I need daily SPF and something that doesn't make me breakout or itch and this does the job. I bought mine in Feb and now it's almost July and it's almost finished (daily use). I will be repurchasing.

I almost never wore sunscreen because I could find NOTHING that met my few expectations: 1) not make me an oily mess, 2) not break me out, 3) not mess with my makeup 4) not cause skin irritation 5) not give me a ghost face on my NC30-35 skintone

Almost every suncreen I tried applied (and stayed oily). The exception was La Roche Posay Anthelios, which was super liquidy and acted like super glue: sticky, and very quick drying (you barely had time to rub it in before it dried in a strip and was hard to apply makeup over!). It also broke me out. Neutrogena Non-Greasy caused my eyelids to become sore after a few days.

Consequently, when I first got Jan Marini, I thought it was the best sunscreen I was ever going to get. It didn't apply oily (nor matte, just sort of like a regular moisturizer). Although it was waterproof (which I didn't really need), it was't ridiculously hard to remove and I didn't have to use a cleansing oil (those tend to break me out too). It had antioxidants. The down point, however, was that my makeup faded MUCH faster with this on. I had about half of the makeup I usually have on my initial face wipe at the end of the day. However, I started playing around with primers, hoping to find something to counteract this.

Why the 3? I have since moved on. I have combo skin, and I don't usually use a moisturizer in the morning. I think the Jan Marini is sort of like a facial moisturizer, which was why my makeup faded so fast. Plus, I have come across the miracle products: Peter Thomas Roth Uber-Dry Sunscreen SPF 30, Peter Thomas Roth Clini-Matte All Day Oil-Control SPF 20, and Obagi Nu-Derm Sun Shield SPF 50. These are wonderful cream sunscreens that apply DRY. Not super glue dry like La Roche Posay, but like invisible dry. They also meet all the requirements I first listed in this review.

Conclusion: Jan Marini is no longer the best in my book. It may be wonderful for dry skintypes, or for those that need a moisturizer in the morning. It is better than most I have tried, but no longer a 4-5 star product.

This is the BEST facial sunscreen I have ever used. It wears perfectly under makeup. The price is very high therefore I limited myself to one tube at the start of spring and it lasts almost to fall.

I received this product as a birthday present and I must say I am very happy to find this product as it does not feel greasy and it absorbs quickly. The smell is delicious, even my boyfriend loves it. This will be the moisturiser I will be using from now on, with the high SPF is a must have specially in Australia where the sun is so strong

I really like this product and quite a few others by Jan Marini. We all know the value of using decent sunscreen particularly if you're using resurfacing products.

What I like about this one though is that it works as a decent primer for my oily skin. Sun protection plus a good base for make up make it worth the price in my opinion.

I would purchase again

This smells amazing, like a pina colada...so good. It didn't leave a white mask on my face, but felt a little too greasy for my sensitive skin but maybe that's just me. I prefer the skinceuticals tint spf 50 on my face, for the same price. It just works better for me. I ended up using the rest of the Jan Marini on my neck & chest until the bottle ran out....but it's too expensive to repurchase just for that area. We'll see...maybe I'll try it again in the winter.

Update: I repurchased and am in love with the product. I recently purchased the skinceuticals again too and I actually prefer the Jan Marini now. It doesn't break me out, it's clear - no white tint, and it feels light, smells good.

This is a very nice sunscreen for the face and neck. I was worried it would break me out at first because new products sometimes do until my skin gets used to them. No problems with this product! I also like how this is fast absorbing, not greasy, and doesn't leave your face shiny. However, I don't like the scent or the puss yellow color. Those things are just minor issues though. I like this sunscreen! Try it!

Bought this a few weeks ago and am very pleased. Product smells lovely and immediately absorbs into my skin leaving a clean, matte finish. I am really impressed with the matte finish. Makeup goes on nicely afterwards and my brushes don't get as oily. Feels like it may be too dry during the winter, but we'll see. I can always apply a moisturizer first. It is also expensive but if it continues to perform I will happily re-purchase.

Ok... i have had MAJOR problems with any other sunscreen i have tried and spent a fortune on truing to find THE ONE sunscreen that will not make me greasy and will not melt when i am out in the sun causing my face to sweat and have LARGE drops of grease (and sweat) dropping from my forehead to my eyes making my eyes red and sensitive and icky.

I gave up the idea that i would ever find such a sunscreen and so i did not use any at all (which of course caused me have light brown spots here and there..) until i bumped into the Jan Marini sunscreen which promised ( as millions of others) that it would not make my skin oily, last longer and provide me with the sun protection i always needed. I bought this just to try it but i didn't expect much from it to be honest BUT.... I was amazed!
The very first time i used this and went out to the sun and my skin did NOT look like a grease ball and i wasn't sweating and it looked nicely moistured but with no excess!! I am IN LOVE with this product! i finally found the perfect sunscreen for me and though i agree with most that it is expensive (ouch! ) it is DEFINATELY worth it's money and i will buy it again.
Plus the smell is lovely and it doesn't irritate your eyes. (i have super sensitive eyes and i avoid using products that have any kind of scent on my face because my eyes go red and i cry).

5 stars from me for this sunscreen!

I LOVE this! It is the only sunscreen I can find out there that doesnt make me more greasy and doesn't cause a massive breakout. Its easy to apply, soaks in and leaves your skin with a glowing look. I often found that if I had a foundation that I had bought that I wanted to use up but was making me too greasy, I would mix this with it and it would help "set" my foundation better. It is pricey but its the only thing that works! love it!

UPDATE (11/01/2012) - I LOVE this stuff so much! I try to sometimes use other products just because it costs me a whopping £50 a tube but I just keep coming back. Nothing works like Jan Marini. I have recently incorporated the Jan Marini Bioglycolic Cleanser into my routine and am just astounded that I never tried it before. I cannot even begin to explain how much I am loving that product. If you want to get glowing, clear and smooth skin you should definitely give it a try! :)

This is a great sunscreen!! It is one of the only ones that does not make my skin more oily. It does have a "sunscreeny" smell but it goes away after you apply it. It is expensive but I would consider buying it again if the makeup or the moisturizer that I am wearing does not have sunscreen.

Great sunscreen, and moderate moisture.
Haven't reacted to it (got mild rosacea), so that's great.

Will update if something changes.

Update: I love it more and more! It's very lightweight.

My HG sunscreen. This was recommended to me by my aesthecian. This is the only sunscreen I've used that hasn't made me break out. I love that it doesn't make my face shiny afterwards, and the antioxidants are also a plus. It's pretty expensive but definitely worth it.
