To be fair, this is my first cream compact and I may be using it wrongly but this product is a waste of my money and time.
I used the accompanying sponge on the first try and pat in the foundation like what I would normally do for my liquids. The foundation came out cakey on my face. It dries to this mouldy, masky and powdery finish and accentuated all my pores, lines and flakes. And once the product dried, it felt as if my skin was being sucked out of it's moisture by this foundation and as if my skin was oxygen deprived. There was a glow like what this product claimed but it came with a unnatural heavy feel to it. Like what you see on geishas.
I thought I might be using the product wrongly, and so on the 2nd attempt, I wet my beauty blender and sheered out the product. This time round, I used a sweeping motion instead of patting. Application was better the second time round but when it's sheered out, it did nothing to cover up the flaws on my skin.
And the more I tried to build it up, the more cakey it looked when it dried. Sheering out the foundation did help to reduce the effect of accentuated pores, lines and flaky skin, but wasn't by a lot. In fact, sheering out the foundation made it dry with an uneven tone and I ended up looking like a patchy clown.
The color 310 was a little yellow for me and made me look as if I was suffering from jaundice.
And the removal was a real pain. The product basically sunk into my pores and I literally had to dig to remove the foundation. On hindsight, an oil-based makeup removal would work better at the removal. I used the bioderma one. My skin was really raw after heavy rubbing and it BROKE me out the next day. Nothing was changed in my daily routine other than this foundation and I can only attribute my break-outs to this foundation.
In the end, I just gave up. It was just too much work to try to get this foundation to work for me and I was stressing my skin out. I've much better foundation in my arsenal that does wonders without having me spend time trying to make it work.
To be honest, I was VERY disappointed that this foundation didn't work for me. I've been a loyal supporter of their facial treatment essence and even when I was doing treatments with my dermatologist, I was still using their FTE. So, I was very excited and full of expectations when I was purchasing this foundation and likewise, it left a really bitter taste when it didn't work.
I would think that this is more of a good skin foundation and use it sheered out.

This is a decent enough foundation, I do like it but for the price and the hassle of having it shipped from Japan I don't like it enough to buy it again! It does give nice coverage, the finish is a bit too shiny for my tastes and it does highlight any dry patches. The color is pretty good, I bought shade 310 which looked like the palest yellow-toned color that this stockist had (I purchased online and so was unsure what the color would look like in person). But it's actually a pretty good match for my pale skin. I bought the refill only, not the proper case to put it in, and the refill cost me $60.00 plus shipping. I live in Florida and this foundation does actually slide off my face in the heat and humidity. I will continue to use but it is doubtful I will repurchase. It actually reminds me a bit of Cover Girl's Aquasmooth foundation (minus the swirly part though).

This is one of my favorite foundations and I've repurchased it a couple of times already. Although its a cream foundation, the texture is light and it gives my skin a nice glowy finish. Coverage can be built up if needed. I apply it mostly with a sponge due to the morning rush, but it also works well (but takes more time) with a foundation brush. Oil control is average, but I think it lasts quite nicely on my skin all day (it just looks glowy and doesn't turn into an oil slick), and it doesn't break me out.
The foundation comes in a refill plastic casing and sponge that is sold separately from the compact mirrored casing. You can just buy the refill, but the casing is supposed to help keep the cream foundation from drying out. I have both now, but started out with just the refill and didn't notice any drying out as long as you close the white refill case tightly after use. One refill lasts around 3-4 months of almost daily use. As with all SKII products, this is very pricey, but I keep going back to this foundation after trying others and it's become a staple.
