I have this in Sangria Starters which is a reddish brown colour (lovely for fair skin) and I find that it gives a subtle but pretty tint to my lips - it's not so much of a lip gloss rather than a sheer lipstick though in my opinion. The mint smell is a little bit weird but it wears off quickly. It stays on the lips as a normal gloss would, and fades evenly. Overall I'm happy with it!

Not remotely gloss and not sheer on me. It goes on with difficulty, so you have to scribble back and forth like it's a crayon and by the time there's any hint of color, I might as well have put on normal lipstick. That being said, as far as normal lipstick, it has a nice feel, smooth and not sticky. I ordered the three color Christmas gift set and am a bit disappointed since I was hoping for a glossy type of balm/tint. Still, I'll give them chance. Pink Umbrella is a pale candy pink that doesn't really show up much no matter how much I lay down. Movie Star is flat-out red, a rather nice autumn color but again, not gloss and not sheer. The third is a more earthy orange/brown, and again, nice autumn, but not glossy or sheer. I sometimes wonder if ELF puts their leftovers into these gift sets to get rid of them, then cancels the product when theyr'e out and moves on...these might well have been sitting on a shelf for a year or two by the stiffness they go on.

I don't know if I would buy these gain even though I ticked I would. I have at least 4 of these and the consistency varies. I do not get the gloss reference, they are more if a balm. I really like the nude one which I pop over nude lipstick. Pink umbrellas is a great shade and makes my lips look just slightly rosier than the norm, but the consistency is different from the nude one. It is more matte and slightly drags on application. I have to add a lip salve to it which rather defeats the object. Good for holidays.

I bought one of these because they seemed comparable to the Neutrogena color sticks but for a much lower price. I got the Pink Umbrellas shade. I love the consistency of the product on the lip, the smell and the packaging. This applies like a sheer lip liner and has a lightweight feel. I prefer this type of lip product for summer. Although it is sheer when applying, the color lasts on the lip. Some lighter pinks can appear patchy on my lips (especially the Pop Beauty color sticks) but the coverage is even with this one. These have a slightly minty, fresh scent but I noticed very little flavor. My daughter purchased one of these in Summer Nights; it's beautiful and has the same quality. Overall I think these are a steal for the price. These are for you if you like a natural look with light coverage.

Love these! I just got a set of three with Nude, Sangria Starters and Pink Umbrella. Pink Umbrella is my favorite, like a rosey version of my lips. The Nude is really a perfect nude, and Sangria is a deep reddish color yet very sheer. They last a long time! Not really a gloss, more like a balm, but I'm very happy as they are just what i wanted. They also twist up, so no sharpening.

I love finding things like these jumbo gloss sticks at Target! They're only $2, so there's not much at stake if you don't like it. And my experience with E.L.F. has been hit-or-miss, so I'm glad I don't have to risk very much to try it out!
I got three of these: Pink Umbrellas, Sangria Starters, and Movie Star. Pink Umbrellas didn't show up on me, although it felt nice. I pitched it. I am coming from my recent experience with Revlon's Kissable Balm Stains, and I wanted to see some color.
Sangria Starters is pretty subtle, but NICE. It doesn't look like it will be a MLBB shade in the tube, but it works out exactly that way on me. It is sheer and buildable. And very portable!
Movie Star is a brighter, blue-er red. It's very pretty - again, sheer and buildable. I have been using it with my Sonia Kashuk Velvety Matte Lip Crayon in Rosey Nude, just because I'm not a fan of total-matte finishes, but you wouldn't have to use anything underneath for a nice wash of color.

Sangria Starters: This is a pretty warm reddish-brown. Sheer, and no shimmers. Staying power, however, is not great.
Summer Nights: I'm always called to warm pink shades, and I like the packaging of this, so I gave it a try, knowing I'd only be out a few dollars if I didn't like it. It really is a pretty color on: warm pink with lots of gold. The gold part is verrrry sparkly though. At my age, I just don't think I look good in sparkles. But on a young 'un, I think this would look awesome.

I have this in Sangria Starters. It's a nice reddish wearable kinda mlbb colour with no shimmer. But the lasting power is horrible. It's really thin and does not feel moisturizing. It also smells like smoked mouthwash, lol. I don't ever wear this. Skip!

I have this in " In the Nude" and this is very moisturizing on my lips. I love nude lipsticks and lip glosses. Not that I don't like bold colors because I would wear any shade. I love to try different looks.
This shade is very pretty on my caramel skin in the summer. As I am a shade or two lighter in the winter. I was recently wearing concealer over my lips with a bit of Love and Beauty by forever 21 in Pink Icing on top. That was a beautiful nude look I tried. But now that I have this lip gloss I 'm loving it. And for only $2 I have nothing bad to say about it. I recommend.

I purchased this from my local Target for a mere $2. These jumbo lip products are so popular nowadays that almost every brand has put one out. When I read "Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick", I imagined sheer color with a nice shine. I own this in the Pink Umbrellas shade.
On my lips, this is a sheer yellow based pink. The consistency of this was very waxy. It did not glide on effortlessly like I expected it to. This also did not dispense any sheen whatsoever, which disappointed me greatly. I am not sure if I bought a dud but this has the texture of an old, dried up lipstick. I feel like it slightly dries out my lips as well if I do not wear it with a gloss or balm.
The scent of this product is slightly minty/menthol like. It is not strong and it is not detectable when on the lips. For a $2 product, I can deal with the dryness but I don't plan on picking up another.
