I picked this up on a whim because I needed new mascara and remember thinking Clump Crusher was pretty popular in the day. I got the water resistant because I have pretty watery eyes and these things tend to get smudgy on me.I love the way it looks and the formula. I have pretty long lashes so that whole clump-free thing is a big deal to me. This seemed to deliver and I thought my lashes looked on point.A few hours later though, I noticed the dreaded black smudge around my eye. It's not quite as bad as some of the other mascaras I've tried, but I don't think I'd wear it if I plan on sweating or for more than a few hours. If you guys have some of the same issues as me, Tarte's Lights Camera Splashes is my favorite mascara and probably what I'm going to splurge on when needed.

The first two times I used this I thought it was great. It really separated all my lashes and even extended them. Then I started having the problem of it straightening out my lashes (I curl them before applying mascara) and making them hang down and be straight out. I have a REALLY hard time getting my lashes to curl and stay curled already. Re-curling after applying mascara and letting it dry is pretty much the worst thing ever. It clumps up and makes the lashes stick together and then starts flaking off (this is ALL mascaras ever that have done this). Also, curling afterwards removes my eyeliner. So now I'm kind of disappointed that it really straightens out the lashes and I have to deal with that.

love how it really does unclump. not really water resistant but my eyelids arent oily so waterproof isnt quite necessary for me. had it for 2~3 months so far and i can now see it starting to clump and maybe flake. i dont really mind so far but the clump-free look i got when it was new was to die for. unf. this mascara looks best on people with a full, jam-packed lashline, length doesnt matter since thats what it does mainly. lovelovelove this mascara. will repurchase one day.

This is HG 2ND mascara--I use 2 mascaras daily...1 to Volumize and the 2nd to separate. This one has a GREAT brush....I can use it to "style" my lashes and kind of lift them...curl them a bit as well. It is water resistant and I got caught in some rain oncw..I also cried once--both times..no smudges :-) It is JUST THE BEST for me :-) I love it..I ALWAYS have some on hand now days to use as the #2 mascara with whatever Volumizing mascara I choose. It also has "fixed" my lashes a couple times when I used an awful 1st mascara on my lashes, the 1st mascara being either to clumpy or gloopy....Great, terrific stuff!!!

My favorite factor about Cover Girl's mascara's are that they don't clump easily and spread your lashes out evenly, the other would be their mascara wands. The way they are designed I never have issues with my lashes clumping or leaving a large gap somewhere. This one I actually bought in brown on accident as I usually only buy black, it turned ou to work very well on my lashes, made them just a hint darker and made me look like I had nothing on and they were my real lashes.

This is my everyday, go-to mascara. It really separates your lashes and is build-able but not clumpy. Great volume. I don't know how water-resistant it actually is but I think this formula is better than the non water-resistant one. I love the curved brush as well. I've been using this mascara for years and have tried all the other Cover girl mascaras and this is definitely my favorite.

This is my HG mascara. It's fairly priced, stays on all day, and truly doesn't clump. This mascara goes on 'dry' not wet which I love b/c it reduces the opportunity to smudge or clump. Plus b/c it is drier, it holds curl longer than others. This doesn't flake through the day either, except when it gets time to replace. Home run from Cover Girl on this one!

the bristles and wand allow for a nicely fanned, clump-free look, as advertised. but it's not water-resistant at all! i don't know if mine's faulty or if it's a product-wide issue, but whatever the case, i'm going back to lash blast after this is finished.

Not bad, not great. It is buildable, with no clumps. It is water-resistant, but it tends to make my lashes flat - even with an eyelash curler. I haven't noticed any irritation, but I was not impressed with this mascara.

At first I was very excited to try out this product out because other reviews from people were excellent. So I went to my local Walmart and got it in the water resistant type. This product was truly a disappointment. Even though its "water resistant", it did not keep my curls at all, it just made them droopy. It's also a wet formula so excess product can get near my eyes so that's extra step to clean it up. The packaging is alright, not a wow factor. The wand is a bit hard to work for me since I'm not used to mascara wands that are curved. I would rather buy the Maybelline Rocket Mascara because it can definitely hold my curls and its very water proof. It takes tons of makeup remover to fully remove the mascara lol. Overall, I would not buy it again.
