Got this a while ago, after the lovely sales lady at Caudalie gave me a sample of their Moisturizing Sorbet. I found that too oily on my face, so I went for the Matifying Fluid.
The price was a little beyond my budget when I first purchased it, so I had been hoping it'd be worth it. The liquid smells alright, and spreads on my face easily, leaving it matte and velvety, exactly as it says. It also absorbs into my skin very quickly and left it feeling refreshed. However, oil control-wise it doesn't seem to have much of an effect on my face - unsure if this is to do with the product, my own sebum secretion, or the humid and damp climate.
It ran out after two months, which was faster than I had expected given the relatively steeper price. When I sliced open the tube, there was actually a substantial amount left clinging on to the tube itself, and I could scrape a small tub of it to continue using it.
It's a nice product overall, but the steep price, how long it lasted, and the fact that there are cheaper alternatives out there means I won't be repurchasing unless I feel like splurging or if there's a sale ongoing.

Out in the humid sweaty tropical climate i'm currently at now, this is one of the few moisturizers that suit my skin and doesn't break me out. It's really light but i only use a pea amount as i sweat an awful lot in this climate. I have very fine skin prone to whiteheads and eczema, and this fluid has not caused any problems since i started using it one month ago. Will not use it in colder climates though as i gather it won't be moisturizing enough but i have used the other richer vinosource products and love them. Wish the price was cheaper though.

This is a HL product for me. I suffer from pretty dry skin, but cannot stand the feeling of product on my skin. This moisturizing fluid is perfect for me because it sinks into the skin and i cannot feel anything, it completely absorbs and leave a soft untacky feeling behind that i love. Granted i live in about as warm and tropical as a climate can get so maybe if i had to suffer through harsh winters i would need something heavier but i use this morning and night under the SOS serum from the same brand and my skin has never been happier. It is expensive but i would suggest giving it a try, remember girls sephora has a kick ass return policy lol

I start using this moisturizer a few weeks ago. In these winter days it leaves my skin hydrated and matified, however I felt the need to use a heavier moisturizer at night, because in the days that I used this moisturizer twice a day, I felt like my skin was not moisturised enough. Probably for the summer will be a great choice.
It's really fluid, and rapidly absorbed by the skin. It did not break me out, and controlled my oilies for 8 hours at least!!
The packaging its fine. I have only two complaints, the smell and the price. I mean, it's not a strong and bad smell, it's just a slight scent, but maybe for some people might be unpleasant. Although, now I am used to it, and it does not botthers me. Moreover, after the application it completely dissapears. It's a bit expensive, but I would buy it again because it does works for me, and I have been looking for a good moisturizer for a long time..

I had to return this to Sephora - it was making me break out badly. Too bad. Down to 2 lippies. See my original review below.

I actually received this product as a gift for Christmas this year; I'd read good reviews and I needed a mattifying, lightweight moisturizer because I'm running around work all the time and look so oily! (I'm an ER nurse) For reference, I am asian, ~NC30, oily-combo, in my late 20s, and have acne-prone skin.
I have tried a lot of different moisturizers geared towards oily-skinned gals; Avene, Clinique, La Roche-Posay, Murad, Biotherm... the list goes on. I haven't really found one I loved yet, just ones that are "Meh, ok, but not great". It's especially tricky around this time of year because it's cold and the air is dry, so I need moisture, but my skin also gets oily, so I can't have too much. Makeup slides around when my skin gets oily so that's kind of a big problem for me, even with blotting papers and powdering.
When I received this moisturizer I was so pleased! I read on other review boards that this moisturizer is perfect for oily skin like mine, and hydrates without leaving grease and actually helps to control oily skin. I was a little skeptical, since this is the claim that ALL oily skin moisturizers make, and none have actually met. I tried this out on my skin and it actually does help with my oilies and does what it says! Shocking.
I normally have to blot anywhere between 3-5 times a day to look presentable. With this Caudalie moisturizer I blotted just once, and even then it wasn't really that necessary. My face looked just the way I left it, with a tiny amount of shine on my nose, which is totally out of this world amazing!
I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and this didn't make me break out at all. The smell is light and unoffensive, and the texture of this lotion sinks in really quick, making makeup application a breeze. I don't wear primer with this; I just apply this lotion, some SPF, and then I can put makeup on.
The packaging is nice; it's a slim 40mL tube with a tiny opening at the end. Personally, I prefer tubes as I find pumps never really allow you to get the very last bit of product out and I'm a bit of a scrooge when it comes to products, especially if you're going to pay so much for a small amount, I want every last bit, damnit! But yes, the tube is great because you can control how much product comes out as well.
Overall: I love this moisturizer and the only tiny tiny complaint I have is that because it's winter, this is just a touch too light. But it's easily remedied by adding a little bit of a heavier moisturizer on top, but this is going to be great for spring/summer months!

This is a great mattifyer, I use it in the AM on hot summer days to keep my skin from getting overly oily. Too drying to use the rest of the year, or the rest of the face (esp. the eyes) but very nice for its intended use. Nice in conjunction with the moisturizing sorbet. Has a light scent, very refreshing.
