This color is GORGEOUS. The pencil makes it really easy to apply and it can be applied thinly for a stain like effect or full on. This color when stained gives my lips a pale purple tint and a deep dark eggplant color when applied fully. The reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it gets into the cracks of the lips and can give your lips a crackly look and doesn't have the staying power my mac lipsticks have made me accustomed to. Still its a great color and if you take the time to apply it carefully and make sure your lips are REALLY moisturized before application its a really fun sexy vamp color that is perfect for Fall/Winter.

This is the darkest of dark purple lippies I have ever imagined... or bought. Sephora's site describes this as a deep aubergine color and yeah that's pretty spot on because it looks like dark eggplant. Don't be scared of it. For an every day color, just apply a balm first (I'm partial to Julie Hewett's Camelia balm) and then place some big dots of Train Bleu on your lips and then swipe with your finger. That sheers it out nicely for every day... or just apply full on vamp-style if that's your goal. Top this with NARS gloss in Rouge Tribal (metallic burgundy) and it's smokin' hot!
