I'm so surprised to see there are no reviews for this Jumbo Eye Pencil as it's my favorite of all the JEP's I've tried!
After reading raves for the Milk and Black Bean JEP's on the MakeUp Board so often I started purchasing NYX products via Amazon.com (no B&M Stores in my area offer NYX unfortunately) I really love the Cream Rouge Blushes as well as this specific, Rocky Mountain Green JEP :)
For reference I have 30yr old, fair & warm skin (NC15 in MAC) with dark brown eyes and hair.
This is a *beautiful* medium shimmery green. The name would suggest that it's a deeper green ("Rocky Mountain") but it's definately more on the light-med.side, but *not* as light as it looks in the picture above that I uploaded. I often times layer it over darker eye shadows and it darkens the green so much. It can also be layered under/over lighter eye shadows and it goes even lighter. It's incredibly versatile, insanely pigmented, and super creamy.
It works so well with my skintone and eye color, I look for different ways to wear it daily lol ;) It can obviously be worn alone and gives a vibrant pop of eye color. It gets very minimal creasing without primer underneath, but *with* primer under, I experience no creasing at all (and I have v.oily lids and usually use the original UDPP) -But it's not matte like several of the other JEP's (Milk and Black Bean for example) -it has a moderate amount of shimmer/sheen to it, but it's not overbearingly glittery whatsoever. (If it were I don't think I'd love it so much as my 30yr old eyes can't pull off the glitterbomb look easily anymore lol)
My favorite way of wearing it is over top a shimmery black eye shadow. (like Victoria's Secret "Fierce" or WnW "Trashed") It wears so well over those black shadows and looks incredible. If you want to tone down the green just use it as a shimmery base and layer other eye shadow's on top and instead of that POP of green, you'll just get a subtle green shimmer.
It's in "jumbo eye pencil" form so it does require sharpening but can be depotted (there are 100 YouTube videos on how to depot JEP's although I've never personally done it) -My only gripe with the packaging is the lids to these JEP's never fit right.. The lids to *all* of my JEP's seem to want to go down too far and try to smush my product :( A minor complaint though for a shade that I love so dearly!
Certainly one of the most versatile eye products that I own, I highly reccomend and do plan to repurchase.
