This is my HG leave-in conditioner for my curly 3a, fine and somewhat porous hair. It makes my hair so healthy and smooth - love the natural ingredients and the smell. I always need to layer products on the style milk for truly tamed and defined curls, however, this is my base that I cannot do without!

I've just recently started using this as my daily moisturizer and I love it! I use it once a day at night before bed to help set my twists and it makes me twist out the next day look beautiful. I seal in the moisture with a tad of shea butter and my hair stays moisturized through out the day. It's not heavy at all, absorbs nicely into my strands and adds shine. Makes me hair look great and feel soft and smooth! The smell is coconut-y and sweet which I really like and a little bit goes a looong way so that little bottle lasts me a while. This is a product I will continue to buy

I bought this on recommendation of a friend who also has naturally curly hair. I have been using Carol's Daughter Hair Milk. I am not a fan of the CD's scent and it is more expensive. I had heard so many people rave about the Shea Moisture line and really wanted to like it because it is a natural product.
It is relatively inexpensive at $10 but it did nothing for my hair. It has a nice scent but it is heavy and instead of enhancing my curls, it weighed them down, unlike CD which really defines the curls. As a result, my hair was matted down and sticky. I definitely will not be purchasing this again.

I really wanted to love this hair, but unfortunately it was not for me. My hair is really thick and can be pretty curly, but can also just be regular wavy with random flat bits. Therefore, I need a curl enhancer to give it a boost otherwise it just looks like a poofy mushroom.
This product was a little too thick for my hair, and left a weird residue. I prefer light products so will be sticking to Redken Fresh Curls Curl Definer.
Pros: smells great, does moisturise, environment and animal-friendly (huge plus!)
Cons: too thick for hair, leaves a slight residue, doesn't enhance my curls
However, I do use the Shea Moisture Shampoo (Hibiscus and Coconuts) and LOVE IT! It's super moisturizing.

I am so happy to have stumbled upon this product. I was initially looking for this brand's body wash in this scent due to a rave review on YouTube. Didn't find the body wash but saw this product. For the past 6 months I have not been straightening my hair and embracing my waves/curls. Since then, I have also been looking for a great product to enhance my natural state of hair. Many products I have tried either leave my hair (after using a diffuser) too frizzy, too crunchy, and/or not enough curl definition. This product's consistency is somewhat of a loose lotion. I read the reviews before trying it and I learned to be cautious of using too much because it can leave hair "stringy"-looking. So I use a pea size amount on the lower half and a pea size on the upper half of my hair. I softly dab it in in a scrunching motion then kind of rub it in and finish the scrunching process and proceed to blow dry with a diffuser. This product leaves my hair soft (which is wonderful since my hair is slightly damaged since I highlight it), it smells nice (coconut/tropical), and makes my curls look beautiful. After diffusing my hair I run my straightener through the ends and some pieces around my face and I have the perfect beachy wave look. I will definitely repurchase and the fact that it is around 10 bucks is such a bonus. Plus it is sulfate free, paraben free, along with a list of animal-friendly and bad-for-you ingredients. Win!

Smells wonderful. But unfortunately it is way to heavy for my fine hair. Also, I didn`t get the nice `locks` I wanted, more of a separated small locks that are kinda like a mess... Going back to the little Aveda pump bottle (Be Curly Style Prep), that works wonderful for my fine, kinda curly hair (don`t use the heavy Curl Enhancer), just the Style Prep. :-)

So I purchased this product yesterday and also used it yesterday and I'm kind of on the fence about this product. I applied it after detangling my 3c hair and my curls were so soft, shiny and defined. I used a styling gelee on top of it and put my hair in a pineapple, in a plastic cap and went to sleep. I woke up this morning and it just wasn't that great. The combonation definitely loosened my curls which I didn't care for. Now this could totally be the other product, but I'm just saying. My curl was loosed and I had some shrinkage as well of outward growing so I ended up putting my hair in a bun like usual. I do like this product as a leave in. It was definitely soft and shiny but it didn't do much for definition or hold. This is just the first time I used it though so maybe I just need to try it a few diferent ways first. Oh the softness this gives my hair! And the shine! Amazing!! That being said I will also say that for my fine hair it can be a tricky product. It is SO moisturizing that it will give me stringy, thin, greasy looking curls very easily if I use even the tiniest bit too much. It is specified that it is for thick curly hair as opposed to the fine wavy/curly hair that I have though, so I don't hold that against the product. Amazing softness, great shine, moisture, help with frizz, help with definition, a fabulous coconut smell and wonderful natural ingredients. How can I not love all of that?!

This is a Great Moisturizing Leave In..Not a Styler..I first used the Milk as a Leave In before applying Curl Enhancing Smoothie as my styler..Second day, I noticed a lot of frizz and buildup, even a bit drying...Second time around, I Shampooed, Conditioned, applied virgin coconut oil as my leave in and styled my Twist out with the Curl Enhancing Smoothie..Next morning, after taking out twists, I used the Curl & Style Milk ON TOP of the smoothie this time, and It worked like a charm!..Refreshed the curls and kept my hair Moisturized ALL DAY...best way to use this product for me...Love the smell, the healthy ingredients, the frizz control this gives me, so will be purchasing again :)
