Smells wonderful. But unfortunately it is way to heavy for my fine hair. Also, I didn`t get the nice `locks` I wanted, more of a separated small locks that are kinda like a mess... Going back to the little Aveda pump bottle (Be Curly Style Prep), that works wonderful for my fine, kinda curly hair (don`t use the heavy Curl Enhancer), just the Style Prep. :-)

So I purchased this product yesterday and also used it yesterday and I'm kind of on the fence about this product. I applied it after detangling my 3c hair and my curls were so soft, shiny and defined. I used a styling gelee on top of it and put my hair in a pineapple, in a plastic cap and went to sleep. I woke up this morning and it just wasn't that great. The combonation definitely loosened my curls which I didn't care for. Now this could totally be the other product, but I'm just saying. My curl was loosed and I had some shrinkage as well of outward growing so I ended up putting my hair in a bun like usual. I do like this product as a leave in. It was definitely soft and shiny but it didn't do much for definition or hold. This is just the first time I used it though so maybe I just need to try it a few diferent ways first. Oh the softness this gives my hair! And the shine! Amazing!! That being said I will also say that for my fine hair it can be a tricky product. It is SO moisturizing that it will give me stringy, thin, greasy looking curls very easily if I use even the tiniest bit too much. It is specified that it is for thick curly hair as opposed to the fine wavy/curly hair that I have though, so I don't hold that against the product. Amazing softness, great shine, moisture, help with frizz, help with definition, a fabulous coconut smell and wonderful natural ingredients. How can I not love all of that?!

This is a Great Moisturizing Leave In..Not a Styler..I first used the Milk as a Leave In before applying Curl Enhancing Smoothie as my styler..Second day, I noticed a lot of frizz and buildup, even a bit drying...Second time around, I Shampooed, Conditioned, applied virgin coconut oil as my leave in and styled my Twist out with the Curl Enhancing Smoothie..Next morning, after taking out twists, I used the Curl & Style Milk ON TOP of the smoothie this time, and It worked like a charm!..Refreshed the curls and kept my hair Moisturized ALL DAY...best way to use this product for me...Love the smell, the healthy ingredients, the frizz control this gives me, so will be purchasing again :)

This is the best leave-in product I've ever used on my hair. I have thick, wavy, kind of frizzy blonde hair. I only use natural products, but I've had horrible luck finding a natural leave-in for my hair. I found this in Sally's, in the ethnic hair section. It smells amazing, so I bought it. I washed my hair the next day, put this in, and let it air dry. My hair was perfectly smooth! I was so surprised. I will always buy this when I run out.

The scent is the only good thing about this product. It's very sweet--some might find it overpowering.

As far as a styling product goes, I'd skip this one. It doesn't do anything for adding definition or hold, nothing for frizz, and gives hair a weird kind of wet look. It also makes my curls separate into thinner, stringier curls that don't blend well together and create an overall messy, unkempt look. I really wanted to like this since it's CG friendly and not TOO expensive, but I'm going to try and return it.

I found the smell too cloyingly sweet. And the product always overwhelmed my hair. It was just too rich and made my hair look greasy and limp.

Such a great product for dry curls! The ingredients are great and it really gives good definition to my hair without sacrificing volume. Not to mention that it smells amazing. I use a nickel sized amount and work through the ends of my hair first, scrunch, then take a pea sized amount and work in the top of my head. This is very hydrating and when my hair dries, it feels soft and looks less dull. If you find the smoothie too much for your hair, give this a try.

I love this Milk and my boyfriend does too. We both have thick hair that needs a lot of moisture. For me I have curly hair but it's wavy now because it's so long. I use this when my hair is damp or dry and I put it in a braid. When I take it out omgoodness my hair smells and feels so good! My hair is soft not stiff or sticky. My curls stay so nice and no frizz. It gives my hair the moisture it needs to stay soft and just well behave and look nice. I love this Milk and recommend it for anyone with thick or curly hair. Fine hair could get greasy because there is nothing but moisture in this product. I love the shea butter,Neem Oil,and Coconut oil. Plus it's vegan which is what I look for in my hair products now a days because my hair seems to like them better.

All in all an excellent product I love it so to me it's worth the price. I will repurchase and have bought the spray so I have to see how I like that. But this is love the smell is really nice and natural I can't wait to use this product in the Summer it will be perfect at keeping my hair hydrated and smelling great. My boyfriend loves it because it just makes his hair soft and has mild hold which is what he needs. So this is a product for both men and women give it a try it works so well. Highly recommended!

This is my HG curl cream. I've been using hair creams since I was in my early teens. Previously, I was using a product by Natural Formula (an Israeli company you can only find here and specialty stores in the US) which was fantastic and I still use, but I wasn't too crazy about the scent. It's fine but this smells so much better!

I was on vacation in the States (I'm American/Israeli) and forgot to take my hair cream with me. I browsed around, thinking I wouldn't find anything because honestly, American products for curly hair are really disappointing. Nothing has ever really worked for me and finding a hair cream that's not expensive and works is impossible. I was prepared to browse the "ethnic" section (hate that word..) ANYWAY

I came across the Shea Moisture line and picked this stuff up because the ingredients intrigued me and it smelled absolutely divine. I use coconut oil for just about everything so to find a product that lists it as one of the main ingredients was encouraging. It wasn't that expensive either, but I do wish the bottle was bigger!

I absolutely LOVE it. It's replaced my old HG hair cream (I may have to go back to it since there's no Shea Moisture here - but hey, that's what the internet's for! lol) This leaves my hair moisturized, VERY SOFT and bouncy. My curls soak it up, like they do coconut oil, and plump up about an inch. I've used it on both wet and dry hair, both times left me pleased with how my hair looked.

It feels like it's nourishing my hair, which is a huge plus. It also doesn't clog the pores around my hair line (I hate that!)

I wash my hair maybe twice a week (it's very dry, coarse and thick) and this leaves my hair soft and beautifully scented until my next shampoo. A little goes a long way, don't put on too much and don't forget to shake it!

I use maybe the size of a quarter or a bit more and my hair is layered - from my jaw to a couple inches past my shoulders. I accidentally squirted out a bit too much (it's the consistency of a conditioner) and my hair felt heavy, dull, and a bit crunchy - sort of like when you don't rinse out all the conditioner after a shower.

I bought the body oil from this line too and it's great. Any Shea Moisture product is on my wish list! If you're unhappy with your bottle, I'll swap you for it!

This product has become a staple in my hair routine. I have kinky, fuzzy, coily 4a hair, and I use this product as a moisturizer after co-washing or shampooing. It's substantial enough to moisturize my hair, but light enough not to weigh it down or make it greasy. I also pair with the spray from this line to refresh second (or third or fourth!) day wash 'n' go's. I enjoy the smell, though it dissipates soon after application. Overall, this is a very lovely product which would work for a variety of hair textures despite its location in the "ethnic" aisle.

So far this is the only MILK moisturizer on the market that is great for my hair, much better smelling than most as well. I have a short crop natural afro, when I use a quarter size amount of milk it really moisturizes my dry hair really well. And it doesn't leave my hair dry and hard, but soft and moist with defined curls which I totally love!!! I purchased an 8oz bottle of the Shea Moisture Organic Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Conditioning Milk at CVS/Pharmacy on sale for a buy one get 2nd for 50%. I'd say it was a good darn investment of product for $9.99. I wouldn't recommend using this milk in conjunction with any gels, smoothing, pudding, or leave-in conditioner products because it will make hair too heavy. Milk is all you need to soften dry hair or slightly damp hair, i find it doesn't do much when hair is fully soak and wet. This is a keeper for sure, I love it!!!

This product is great. It smells nice, not too heavy and the scent lingers. It is one of THE VERY FEW products I have used that actually does what it claims in terms of soft, touchable curls. This product does not make your hair hard or sticky in any way, HALLELUJAH! I am one of those people that just cant help using a lot of the product and even in doing that, no crunch whatsoever! I am not African American and it works great, I think stores are doing themselves and the product a disservice by having it only in the "African American hair care" section. So, if you can't find it, look there. Its a wonderful product regardless of your skin color :)

I am in love with this product. I have naturally curly hair that I have had permed and is damaged. I am a hair product junkie and always looking for the next best thing and this is what I've been looking for. I am currently trying to grow my hair out and need to wear my hair naturally in order to do so. I use this product after I've conditioned it and just let it air dry. My hair is super soft and my curls are beautiful and shiny. I also use this product after days of no washing and scrunch it in my hair and my curls are still just as lovely. My hair has grown since I started using this product and my hair seems much healthier. The only bad thing about this product is the price and bottle size but I will definitely buy this again.

I can't believe I'm the only one so far who adores this milk. This has got to be one of (if not THE one) my favorite leave-ins ever to grace the planet.

SM's Curl & Style Milk is the only hair milk I've ever had success with. ONLY. They usually leave my hair sticky and tacky feeling, and they're just messy and pointless. This is a completely different story. It leaves my hair moisturized and soft, as well as defines my curls (a bonus since I didn't buy it for that purpose). However, there are some time periods where I can't use this, such as when I'm using SM's Curl Enhancing Smoothie. This might also apply to some up here who haven't had success using them in conjunction. If your hair is protein sensitive (like mine), using both products at the same time can dry your hair out. Both products contain silk protein along with coconut oil (coconut oil isn't a protein, but it CAN make hair hard if you use too much of it) so it just makes for more chances to get hard, dry hair. If I use the milk, I won't use the smoothie and vice versa. Also, I use the milk on damp hair. If I use it on wet hair it leaves my hair feeling all squeaky and I hate that. If I use it on dry hair I feel like it's not absorbed as much and to me that's a waste of product...so damp is the way to go. It might sound dumb, but that's what works for me and it leaves my hair in wonderful condition, so whatever.

But yeah, I highly recommend it if you have thick, coarse, dry hair. Just watch out if your hair doesn't like a lot of protein.

I have fine-med-coarse strands, tight-loose curls and high-low porosity areas. I got curious, researched and purchased an 8oz bottle of the Shea Moisture Organic Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Conditioning Milk (whew!) from Target for $9.99. I must've blacked out or something though, because I avoid products that prominently feature silk protein. For reference, Shea Moisture sells 3 hair milk products (re: lotion/styler): the Hibiscus line (rose label), the Yucca & Baobab line (olive) and the Raw Shea line (goldenrod). The Hibiscus curl milk includes silk protein, the Yucca has silk protein and glycerin and the Raw Shea line has glycerin. This is a big deal among some curlies as added protein has been reported to strengthen hair and sometimes over strengthen to point of breakage, and added glycerin has been reported to moisturize (possibly exacerbating frizz/volume) and sometimes over-moisturize or dehydrate hair in certain climates. I've had breakage with silk protein and glycerin, both of which are generally totally unnecessary for me to use and I'm sure both results were my fault.

Anyway, I didn't need a styler or detangler but was experiencing some end-shaft breakage and dryness and thought, 'why not?'. The ingredient list varies on different websites so I thought this product had protein AND glycerin as non-key ingredients; therefore a fortifier plus a humectant to add moisture. But it only has silk protein and high up in the list, if overused it could over-fortify my hair and end up blocking moisture. I used this product maybe 4 times, very liberally on wet and dry hair prior to styling, over a period of 2 weeks. I noticed that the breakage at my ends did stop, pretty cool! Though I couldn't imagine using this more than 1x every few weeks max (unless your hair defied protein), therefore I didn't mind the cost per use. But it slightly flaked after drying (maybe overload?) and also left my hair a bit dry and crunchy. I would try the other 2 lines but I'm aware of Sundial's organic claims being contested and Shea Moisture having NO samples and NO working website and I just don't want more hair stuff.

On my skin it left that 'silicone-like' smoothness with no real moisture or emollience. It does SMELL very lovely though, and I don't even like coconut scents, but fragrophobes and the allergy-prone beware. The BOTTLE is sturdy, great press lid and so far super secure and a nice portable size. The FORMULA is a bit thick requiring quite a bit of shaking to get out but the texture is smooth and lotion-like. I would buy again if in need of a protein intervention as it's easy to find but as a regular leave-in and moisturizer - no! This product is so similar to many others out there, but many people swear by this stuff.

Smells amazing, I used this product on top of the Shea Curl Enhancing Smoothie. Did absolute no moisture for my hair, in fact dried it out. Any milk styling products don't seem to go well with me is what I've noticed. I have very coarse, low porosity type of hair, also Im a 3b. The minute I put it on my damp hair, everything seems amazing until a couple hours later. Not a fan,

First off, the price is outrageous for just a tiny bottle! I didn't really care for it because it did nothing for my hair. It did moisturize it but when I used it to twist my hair, the water content in the product shrunk my twists. It smells like a nicely done coconut smoothie. Yummy! Personally I may try it in the near future when my hair is longer but for right now, I don't want to purchase it again.
