Firstly I must state that if Rimmel didn't sell their products to China and had to allow animal testing, then I'd probably give this concealer 4 out of 5 overall. I bought this after I had extensively researched which companies test on animals, and I'm still using up the product. Unfortunately I won't be purchasing again as Rimmel aren't completely cruelty-free, and I strongly feel that my face is no way near as important as the welfare/life of an innocent animal.
I really love this concealer (in the palest shade) for brightening the skin under my eyes. It does it amazingly and I feel sad that I won't be purchasing this again after I've used it all up. I must state that the coverage isn't heavy which is why I use it for BRIGHTENING, not actual concealing, as I do not suffer from dark skin around the eyes.
Unlike the foundation, there are no glittery bits, which would be odd if there were. It's very moisturising and doesn't set into any fine lines much. I don't think the staying power of it is too good, and have to retouch after a few hours.
The lipgloss-type packaging makes it easy to apply and get product from the tube, which I then blend with my fingers.
One of the best concealers I've used for under my eyes!
Please stop selling your products to China, Rimmel :(

This is my new favourite concealer - I love this.
Great concealer for the under eye area, really brightens and cover's really nice, its not full coverage but a good light - medium coverage but can be easily layered up with out looking cakey.
I love this in a morning just to through something on or just if I want to look fresh and glowy, I even used it to highlight my forehead and chin.
Great definitely give it ago maybe better suited to normal-dry and maybe combo.

I was looking to test out a new undereye concealer and bought this in light/medium. When first applied, the product went on really smoothly, but became hard to blend. A few minutes later, the product oxidized and turned dark pink -_-;;; with shimmer.
Five minutes after application, my eyebags were even darker than before application.
Maybe I got this in the wrong color? Or a dud? Did anyone else have this experience?

I purchased this product after hearing Tanya Burr (from YouTube), rave about this entire line. I have to say I'm quite impressed. It has a nice lightweight, creamy liquid texture, blends beautifully, and has a really subtle highlighting, brightening effect. I use it to traditionally conceal under my eyes in the half moon shape, but I also pull it down onto my cheeks into a triangle shape to bring some more radiance to my face. It does its job, and looks really really flawless and natural. Loving it!

There was such a hype around this line that when their products became available I wanted to try them. I got the foundation and the concealer, and even though I like both, this concealer has become one of my HG products.
I deal with undereye circles, so light reflective concealers/highlighters alone don't do the trick, I've been combining a highlighting concealer for birghtness and another concealer for coverage, and it was too much of a hassle. This product saves me one step since its coverage is great and lightens up my undereye area.
I don't think the shimmer can be detected at first sight (opposite to the Wake Me Up foundation, which is quite noticeable), it blends really easily without creasing. I use Benefit Powderflage on top, it's the perfect combo.

Skin tone nw 15 to nw 20. Normal to oily.
I bought this because it was on sale at Shoppers Drugmart for $4.99. I ran out of my usual maybelline instant age rewind eraser. I purchased this in fair light and to be quite honest it's not that light at all.
This product is ok, easy to apply coverage is good. Formula seems to be really thick so you got to blend right away. It does have a slight glitter to it I'm guessing this is what's suppose to give the "wide awake" look. But the glitter really isn't to obvious on the skin. Does it make me look bright eyed and fully awake? No not really. I put I would repurchase but only if its on sale cause coverage is good. It's certainly not worth it's regular $7 to $9 price tag. This also may work better for drier skins. Ill be sticking with my maybelline age rewind once I'm done with this tube.

Like most people, I bought this product on a whim, I can't remember the exact amount but it was somewhere in the region of £5 and was thus was pretty good value. I have used some of Rimmles concealers in the past and have often found them to be too thick and leave creases under my eyes. This one however is actually really good and exceeded my expectations, it looks a lot more natural that most of the concealers I have tried and Is perfect for those late days where you only have time to put on one or two products. The selection of colours isn’t perhaps the widest and those who have darker skin tones would probably struggle, that said the ''ivory'' colour I used worked pretty well on my olive skin without making me look washed out. The smell of the product isn't that good but isn't strong enough to get in the way and the applicator was actually quite good. The packaging isn't perhaps the prettiest thing in the world and there is some slight creasing under the eyes if you put too much on but overall it is defiantly worth it.

I got this on a whim because ive never tried any of rimmel's wakemeup line before, and it was super cheap! (Around $4-5)
I wasnt expecting much at first but woww, its an amazing concealer.
I usually use makeup forever full cover concealer but I find that its sometimes too pigmented and thick. It was hard to get a "no makeup" look with it.
But the wake me up concealer is so light and liquidy yet gives decent coverage so it looks like I have nothing on.
I like to put this concealer over all my blemishes and scarring, let sit for about a minute and then dab with my finger tips then finish off with some translucent powder.
Im a nc15/20 and I use the shade 2

I bought this concealer yesterday not knowing what to expect. I'm glad the result was a win. I love this concealer. I'm wearing it right now under my powder foundation. Usually I have issues with concealers creasing under the eyes but not this time! It covers well my dark acne spots without being cakey. Just does what a concealer should. And I'm really glad too that I found my perfect skin match in 230 very fair/light. I can easily wear this with no foundation needed when I want a more 'au naturel' look. Will definitely buy again!

HG concealer! Amazing for the price, and it delivers the full coverage it claims to. As the name suggests, it DOES brighten and wake up your face. In sunlight, some chunky shimmer can be noticed, although in other light, very invisible. 4-5 hours staying power for me. I'm so upset we in the US have to wait until next year for the foundation, but I will wait patiently, because I'm in love with the concealer :) WARNING: this concealer WILL show up in flash photography, so if you're one who's rather picky about that, better be careful :) - Otherwise overally a GREAT concealer.

**My skintone is deep olive... I've been using Light-to-Medium. **The Light-to-Medium concealer color works great to counter my dark circles and dark eyelids! It seems to just sink into the skin. It works best for me as a color corrector & so i have to use it only on the dark areas. I might try the Medium shade (which is more of a yellow color) and see how that performs on dark areas.
**I tried to find the ingredients online but with no success. Im assuming it has light reflection (from titanium dioxide perhaps) because the liquid has a nice sheen to it - great for under eyes. And its a very smooth texture.
**Previously I was using the Almay Line Smoothing concealer in Medium, but this is cheaper and has a strong pink coloring which counters my dark eyes nicely.
**Package is standard but the wand seems kind of tightly packed inside. Im afraid i'm going to break it one of these days.
**I will repurchase.
**
**i hear we wont get the WakeMeUp foundation until next year , which is disappointing but i look forward to it.

Love this concealer especially the foundation. I purchased the color medium it is a little too dark for my nc35 complexion but I do combine this with my maybelline age rewind concealer for under eyes. LOVE LOVE LOVE this product.

I have a few spots of discolouration, but mainly I bought this concealer for my under eye area. This being said the concealer did not cover my darkness enough for me, nor did it brighten. As well I could not use this on blemishes since the liquidy consistency seemed to slip of my slightly oily skin.
This concealer is just ok. I would recommend investing in MAC pro long wear concealer ( completely covers does not fade ), or from the drugstore the Maybelline instant age rewind ( brightens nicely).

I use this concealer with the Wake Me Up foundation, and I really like it. The other high street concealer i use is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, and while this one doesn't provide as good coverage, for the price, it is still very good.
It covers up dark circles and blemishes with medium coverage, but can be built. The staying power could be better however, as i find that after 4/5 hours I need to touch up.
Other than that, for the price, I really like this concealer and would purchase again

A great concealer from Rimmel. I bought this concealer on a whim, not expecting great things, but it is a really good, full coverage concealer that works for both under eye circles and spots. I own quite a lot of concealers but keep coming back to this one because it's so versatile.

This concealer works really amazing. Especially under the eyes, because as the name says, it really wakes your face up and feels light on the skin. It has a bit of shimmer-thing in it witch I don't really like, but you don't seeing it that much, but that's a thing I don't like. It has a light-medium coverage, so it pretty much covers what it shall. For me it works great for under eye circles and redness. For blemishes I would stick to a concealer with more coverage.

My shade: 010 Ivory
Pros:
The sponge applicator is easy to use.
Covers dark circles almost completely.
Thick enough for coverage, but not heavy or greasy.
Doesn't have an offensive smell.
Cons:
Not many shade options for people with lighter/darker skin.
Sets into under-eye creases a little but nothing that can't be sorted with a wipe of a sponge.
Doesn't cover spots/pimples as well as I would like.

This is without a doubt my HG concealer - it covers well without looking too thick and greasy and most importantly, it doesn't sink into my undereye creases like a lot of other concealers.
I usually need to put setting powder after applying liquid concealer or stick concealer- not with this one - and anything that helps cut my makeup routine short is a bonus.
The shade I use is Ivory and it has lasted quite a while despite using it more or less daily. I hope they Rimmel doesn't discontinue it!
