The best eyeliner I have ever used.
I usually struggle with liquid eyeliners as my hands are shaky and it never comes out the same on both sides. So this eyeliner was a God sent gift. It lasts all day and is totally weightless and it never bleeds.
The brush is bloody amazing and it gives out the darkest colour and the best think is that it doesn't go dry and lasts forever.
I had mine for about a year before it finished, believe me when I tell you that this is a miracle in a pot.

I like this eyeliner as far as gel liners go. Packaging is perfect (brush is stored in the lid) and the color and consistency are great. It takes quite a bit of precision and patience to apply correctly and it's easy to mess up. You should set it with a black eye shadow to make it last.

I did not like this Gel Eyeliner! It smudges way to easily and does not last! When you apply it, it takes about 5-10 minutes before it dryes! When you blink it leaves a black line on my eyelid. What cought my eye was the way the little brush is stored on top of the lid other than that... A fat noo!

So this product brings different feelings. I love it, but yet I dislike it. This brings out great color, very black and I love it! Easy application for me, very handy packaging and yes waterproof. Here comes the cons: The brush really is terrible, the bristles start to get out of joint and if you dont cut the ones sticking out, it will get liner all over your lid. 2.), It sumdges so very easily. During the day (especially summer days, I'm a thick cat eye liner girl) It will smudge all over my lid and bottom lash line by itself and sometimes it will just fade away to a dull grey. 3.) The liner gets pretty gunky and more melted as you're close to finishing it. Thats it. I just use my own angled brush, apply anti crease eyelid primer and then the gel eyeliner, it pretty much sets it for the day. Just put the liner in a place where it wont get too much heat/ If rimmel made it more "un-sumdgeable" and more durable I will come back and give it 5 stars. The price is good, great for beginners of gel liner or eyeliner at all!

I've been using liquid eyeliner for years (and was quite happy with it) but on a whim, I decided to try out the Rimmel gel eyeliner after seeing it on Tanya Burr's youtube channel so many times.
I bought it and was itching to try it out but had a few makeup free days and couldn't justify putting it on when I was just staying home all day. Needless to day, I was super excited when I finally did my makeup and could give it a try!
In terms of consistency, it's (obviously) much thicker than liquid. A little goes a long way and you only need to dab tiny amounts to get a decently strong line.
I particularly like it because it has a much more matte look than a lot of liquid liners - which can sometimes look a bit too shiny.
It's not the neatest liner and works well for me because I like the slightly smudged look. If you're looking for something like a defined cat eye, it might still work well but I would recommend using an angled brush for definition - rather than the brush it comes with.
Another plus I found was that it dried really quickly and in addition to this, lasted all day.
Definitely sticking with this in the future! While liquid liners are good, I didn't know what I was missing in gel!

I can't tell you how EXCITED I was when I brought this home! I tore open the package, admired the cute jar and went for it - there's a brush that snaps into the lid, for those of you who don't own this. For packaging alone, it's ingenious.
But the product itself fell short unfortunately. The consistency of the gel is gunky as a gel would be, but still thin, if that makes any sense. You need to really layer it up for it to turn out black (even then, it's far from being a true "blackest black" - such lies lol). For those of you who're going to buy this product regardless or already own it and are about to rip into the package; I think the trick is in the amount of product on your brush, apply little by little and build it up. Once you're done, let it dry and go over it with a shadow. Oh, and as nifty as the built-in brush is, resist temptation and use your own instead. That one is terrible!
Long story short, this has poor pigmentation, difficult application due to the texture of the gel and as for the waterproof claim - lies. One misplaced swipe of the hand and it's all over your face, especially if you didn't prime or set the eyeliner.
I personally don't have the time to play these games and am reverting back to pencil eyeliners. Rimmel, you let me down! :(

Have searched for the perfect waterline eyeliner for YEARS and have not had any success in finding anything that would last beyond 20 minutes (I tend to have watery eyes).. UNTIL NOW--- love love love this liner for the lower lashline-- even cried and had it stick! Will never go without now..

I'm not sure if i'm just not putting gel eyeliners on right but I seem to dislike them all. The eyeliner itself is okay but the little brush you always get with them is awful, it creates a thick, hard to control line and too much product ends up getting on the brush. If You're going to buy gel liners use your own angled brush and get rid of the rubbish one they give you.

Overall, this is a really nice little gel eyeliner. The packaging is unique as it contains a pull-out brush in the lid that you can turn around and rotate and click it back into the lid for a longer stick; although I personally prefer just using the brush by itself.
The pigmentation of the eyeliner is not very good and it takes me 2-3 swipes to get it dark enough. It also does not have good staying power, as mine had rubbed off about 6 hours after I applied it.
The good thing about this product though is definitely the convenience of the brush in lid, and that if you apply it dark enough it does stay. It is also waterproof like it claims, as I cried my eyes out and it still stuck. I would recommend it.

First off, I have no idea how they can market this as waterproof? It's not even smudge proof! I never expected much from the brush it comes with but I guess if I was really stuck I could make it work, but I do like that they thought of including a brush with the product.
I bought it in the colour aubergine and I do quite like the colour because it's not overwhelmingly purple, it's almost more of a duo chrome that shifts from black to purple! It's just a shame that it takes several layers to get a good colour pay off that isn't streaky.
I probably won't be buying this again and I'm just glad I didn't waste a lot of money on this because I got it on sale.
