This is by far the most expensive cleanser I have ever bought or will ever buy, but I do like it. It has a fake orangey smell that I don't mind, and it seems to be lasting a long time even though the bottle was shockingly small. It makes my face feel very clean but not overly dry, and my skin has been very nice since I started using this every night in combination with Neutrogena's Rapid Wrinkle Reducer and AcneFree Terminator on spots. I also like that it doesn't appear to have sufates or oils. I don't like the pump because that makes travel with it difficult. Overall a nice face wash, but probably not worth the money!

I got this in the clearer days ahead 30 day kit. It is nothing special. It doesn't have a strong scent or anything like that. It cleans well and initially I loved it. However, after about a week of using it I noticed it sucked all the moisture out of my face. I have a very oily tzone even and my skin literally CRACKED on the side of my nose near my eye and bled one night and it has taken me about 2 weeks to heal that spot up. This is pretty bad because I use a heavy moisturizer every night and a light facial moisturizer in the day so that SHOULDN'T have happened.
I will still use it if my face has been particularly oily one day because I just got back from the gym or doing a lot of work outside and my face is gross but I can't use it day after day. I will use up what I have and it does help get rid of some of my acne but the tradeoff just isn't worth it. Purity works so much better and doesn't dry my face as much.

Well what I can say? Living in the UK this product is not available so I found a department store in the US that done international shipping (at an extortionate rate) but based on the reviews I was willing to spend the money for this miracle cleanser. It finally arrived 10 days later and I was soooo excited to try out this product. Tried it out that evening and all seemed ok. Used it on the second day and by the afternoon my eyes felt itchy but I thought nothing of it. Used it in the evening and by the following morning my eyes were swollen and puffy and my face and neck covered in what I can only describe as what looked like nappy rash! It was awful. I have never had a reaction to any face product and this was absolutely terrible. Face felt sore and itchy and with the swelling meant I couldn't go out for two days (unless I wanted to scare the public). All I would say is test an area before subjecting your face to this product.

There were days when I thought, this is the end of my search, my HG item finally, but another huge disappointment. So much money wasted on products that don't work.. Clogged up and made my skin red and blotchy after a while. Left my normal skin feeling dry after use. Still in the quest for finding the right cleanser.

So far I'm loving this! My old HG acne face wash was Neaclear's liquid oxygen acne wash, but I haven't been able to get it anywhere for several months. I've only been using this for a few days now. It hasn't over-dried my skin or made it any worse, that I can tell. I like that it only has 1% salicylic acid, because most acne face cleansers are 2% or 0.5% (too much or too little), and this one is just right. I really like how it smells! A light lemon fragrance that kinda "wakes me up", since I use it in the morning. The reasons I didn't give this 5 stars are that, 1) I haven't used it long enough to give a most accurate review, and 2) it's expensive compared to what I'm used to paying. Thankfully, one single pump is enough to cover my whole face and cleanse it thoroughly, and I only use it once, maybe twice a day, so it will last me a long time. I don't know about how well it removes eye make-up because I don't usually use anything on my eyes but Dove bar soap (it's effective yet gentle).
Overall, I really like this cleanser, and I probably will buy it again (if I have enough room in my budget).

Beautiful product! removes makeup completely-even eye makeup so i know it removes my face nakeup. It seems to just melt off, its wonderful I've been searching for this facewash all my life! Decided to try after falling in love with their take a deep breath gel moisturizer and doing some research. I've only used this twice, and I already see and feel a difference!
This doesn't leave my oily skin feeling tight or dry and it foams up nicely-which i love-with just on pump. Has a wonderful orangey scent plus it looks so pretty sitting on my counter! Can't say enough good things about this cleanser and I can't wait to see my complexion improve even more!

AMAZING*** I had been on different birth controls since age 18, and only had the occasional monthly breakout until I just recently went off birth control. My face freaked out, mostly on my chin then up into my cheeks. I left it for almost 3 months thinking my body just needed to get used to not being on the pill, but it only got worse. Over the years, I've tried almost every kind of acne treatment from drugstores, including exfoliators, lotions, and gels. NOTHING cleared up my face. I read a review on the Clear Days Ahead Acne treatment and I went to Sephora and asked for a sample of the cleanser and moisturizer... WOW. Literally the next morning I saw a difference in my face, probably because there were no new breakouts, which had become an every day thing. I've been using the cleanser & moisturizer every night and every morning for the past 2 weeks and my face has had NO NEW breakouts, and I've deff noticed my face is smoother, and clearer. I should also mention that I switched to Smashbox Photo Finish Primer around the same time, & I think that helped makeup from getting into my pores as much. I DEFF recomend trying the Clear Days Ahead Acne Treatment Cleanser and Moisturizer, it was free for a little sample tub of both :)

I been searching around for a good acne cleanser. I was using Clinique for a long, long time but it tends to dry my face out (which is no good). This was recommended to me by the saleswoman at Sephora. It is a wonderful product. It cleared up my trouble chin area in a matter of days and has a wonderful smell. It also helped with the shine I develop on my t-zone.
I have been using it for over a month now and have had zero breakouts or any drying ( I use it twice a day every other day with Olive oil/honey treatments between days)
I would recommend it to anyone with mild acne problems..I would recommend it to those with medium+ problems but I am not sure it would do the same for them as it did for me.

2nd that of the first reviewer. Always the HG items that don't have reviews fast enough LOL. So ya simply and shockingly FINALLY a cleanser that actually deep cleans and keeps my super clog/breakout/oily prone skin clear and balanced and doesnt end up totally stripping and drying out my skin a month in like every single cleanser I have ever tried in my life. Crazy consept I know! :p I was really doubting I would ever find a simply cleanser to acheive this but finally have. Im shocked this one works so well considering I have never to say the least been a fan of any Philosophy skin care ever. This line always is full of irritants and a million ingredients that have always gone wrong for me especially the Purity cleanser hence why I so so hesitant to try it. I love that the ingredients dont have any harsh sulfates and are pretty decent as well as the cleanser smelling amazing. Best of all they finally got with it and did a pump bottle and very happy color. No complaints at all and still loving it after a month. I use it morning and night and no drying yet (knock on wood). Don't hesitate to try this! :)

HG STATUS AT LAST! I am surprised there are no reviews yet on this incredible cleanser!!! I have been searching and searching for a simple acne cleanser that clear pores well but doesn't irritate or strip skin. It's sometimes impossible to find one without sodium lauryl sulfate that has active acne fighting ingredients. This is my perfect cleanser!!! I wasn't sure if it was going to foam or not because a lot of Philosophy's cleansers do not, but to my surprise it foams up quite well! For the foaming agent it contains cocamidopropyl betaine, a natural detergent derived from coconut. This particular ingredient I like in a cleanser because I like a cleanser to be foam and it's the only foaming agent I have found that doesn't dry or irritate my skin. I like the pump package. The smell is divine, very natural with a hint of orange blossom. My skin has been brighter, blemishes have been kept at bay, complexion is less red, and I'm finally healing from the damaging drying cleansers I had been using. Works especially well with my Clarisonic. I am soooo happy with this cleanser I can't say enough good things about it! I will recommend to everyone I know with acne and hope this becomes a best seller from Philosophy so they never discontinue it!
