I love this powder! Not only do I love it, but my sister, mom and two friends now use it (our skin types range from oily to dryer) and swear by it. I use it with my 'full face' makeup, and on my lazier days with a little bit of primer or concealer, and its great for touch ups.
The downside it that the packaging has changed and no longer has a spot for a sponge and it was good for when you wanted a quick touch up.

Best thing I've used so far! If you have fairly oily skin throughout the day and want to look natural this is the best! No one can tell I'm wearing foundation which is key! I love love love it my skin is also flawless, no breakouts!

This isn't the best makeup product in the world but for my needs, it's perfect. It doesn't have much coverage but it didn't irritate my skin (my oily, acne-prone skin) but gave me a natural touch-up. Those redness and acne scars will not be fully covered without some good primer and some concealer but I use it for an everyday, "enhanced-yet-natural" kind of look. I never wore makeup before this, but because it isn't a hassle to put on, it looks natural and it doesn't irritate, I would buy it again. I use it with the pur brush that the set comes with.

I just finished the regular sized compact of this product (golden medium). I used an Ecotools travel applicator (the one in the metal case) to apply the product.
What I liked:
Easy to apply
Easy to travel with since it's not a liquid
What I didn't like:
Didn't work with my very dry skin (flaky, emphasized wrinkles)
Possibly more drying/definitely not moisturizing
Coverage lasted only so-so throughout a long day
If I had younger skin that wasn't so dry, this would be a good option. I've since switched to a cream-stick style product with hopes that it with both travel well (I'm a frequent traveler) and help my skin look and feel less dry and flaky.

HEAVEN. After years of searching for the perfect foundation for my oily, problematic skin I have found the perfect foundation. This product is nothing short of miraculous. I find that the coverage it affords with use of the chisel brush is amazing. It allows medium to full coverage while still making your skin look very natural. Because this product is talc free, it does not dry out the skin like most powder foundations, nor does it creep into fine lines or uneven areas. It actually contains a very small amount of shea butter, which helps to hydrate the skin throughout the day and leaves the foundation looking more natural and soft than most powders. Also, for ladies who also used the old formula and found that the product crumbled, Pur has incorporated a binder of sorts to prevent the product from kicking up so much dust. As a cosmetician, I cannot say enough good things about this product

HOLY mother of god this just ruined my skin. I've been dealing with dry skin and acne for quite some time but had my skin under control the latter half of last year. Usually around December/January I get pretty red flare ups (I have Vitamin D deficiency and I get lazier/less physically active in the winter) , and this year was no different. I bought all new brushes, and decided to try out a mineral foundation because I bought in to the whole "natural" feel of it. When I first got it, I really really loved it. If you have little flare ups and normal to oily skin that does not have to be moisturized, this will work wonders for you. I really like the coverage too and its so much less cakey than liquid foundation, easy application, the works. The bronzer is good too for contouring.
A month and a half later and my skin is the worst its EVER been! I thought it was my own skincare regimen because I changed a few products up until I research it - cheek acne (the under-the-skin bump but not whitehead type) galore, chin acne also exacerbated. I'm going to a dermatologist because of this product - but I don't blame my acne-proneness on it. I'm so happy I finally noticed it was this .... DON'T BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE DRY AND ACNE PRONE SKIN!

I have yet to find a powder foundation that I like... with that being said I gave this a try and just don't like the flat look it gives my face. I have to put on quite a bit to get medium coverage and then it looks somewhat cakey. I do have dry skin. I have always been a liquid foundation fan and I like to have a touch of dewyness. You will not get that with this foundation. I took it back to Ulta and they gave me a refund so no harm done. Was disappointed with this. Always looking for something better than I currently use.

I have oily skin, super oily. I put on liquid foundation (Lancome's Teint Miracle) with a primer (Korres Mattifying Primer) and setting powder (Tart's Smooth Operator). Within a couple of hours, it looks like I went for a jog. I also have a mild case of adult acne.
I've tried several different types of foundations and powders, but this powder here. Is my all time favorite. I don't use the brush that is made for this powder, instead I use my Sedona powder brush and it works just fine.
I do have redness around my cheeks and nose, use a bit of this powder and it's bye bye redness.
Conceal all imperfections. (Nars Creamy Concealer)
Set with powder. (PUR Minerals)
It takes me less than 5 minutes and I'm out the door.
This routine gives you the Au naturel look.
Whenever I tell someone I'm wearing makeup, they never believe me.
BARE MINERALS VS PUR MINERALS
I recently purchased the bare minerals powder veil that contains spf 15. Compared to the pur minerals, the bare minerals has no coverage what so ever. I did my normal routine, but used this powder instead. My face was oily within the hour and the powder was very cakey. (yes, I always moisturize in the morning. Even though I have oily skin. Moisturizing is very important to keep your skin balanced.)
It has come to my attention that there are TWO different powders.
One is the 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation with Skincare Ingredients, and the other is 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation With SPF 15. Just to clarify I use the pressed powder that has the SPF 15!

I've been using this makeup for months, and I've come to the conclusion that I strongly dislike it. It drowns out and deadens my complexion. My skin starts to feel oily in just a few hours, and the staying power isn't good. When I first put it on, my face begins to feel itchy...so something is causing an allergic reaction, and I do pop out with a few small hives that eventually disappear.
Like many of you, I'm on a quest for the perfect mineral makeup for my skin type. It's the only kind of makeup I can wear without breaking out. My skin is currently free of pimples, but I do have some clogging, which I'm convinced this makeup ISN'T helping, and some scars from a hormonal breakout I endured a few months ago. This makeup is utter c-r-a-p. Would be great for someone who is not prone to oil production, and does not have any scaring...because the more you layer on, the more cakey it becomes, and the coverage simply does not exist...This is not a 4 in 1...

I'm very disappointed with this new formula. I used the original pressed powder for over a year and loved it. This formula leaves me looking very washed out; not what i want as i am naturally very pale, and tends to develop a pink under tone as the day goes on. Very sad.

This is a medium coverage, buildable mineral makeup foundation in the form of a pressed powder with SPF 15 and a built-in mirror in the compact. I found it to be non-drying (I have quite dry skin), but of course it is best to exfoliate regularly, as dry skin flakes will show up when wearing this. When first applied, the foundation appears "powdery" on the skin, but in about 5 minutes it melts to an even, smooth texture. As the reviewer below mentions, it is best applied with a flat top brush, such as Pur Mineral's chisel brush (I got one for free with purchase on the Pur Minerals' website). I didn't find the need to wear concealer with this, as I have pretty good skin, but other people might want more coverage. Over time, I found this makeup to actually improved my skin, evened my skin tone, reduced redness and irritation, and it never caused acne (if I got any blemishes it meant I needed to clean my makeup brushes). I wore this 4-in-one foundation with the color correcting primer in peach, which minimized the amount of foundation needed to provide medium coverage. With the primer, this makeup lasts for a long time, even after 10 hours, it still looks flawless. It never oxidized and always looks natural. With daily use, a compact should last 3-4 months, so it is kind of pricey, but very much worth it.
Compared to other mineral makeup I have tried (Bare Minerals, Physician's Formula), this is the best foundation out of all of them. Unlike with Bare Minerals, Pur Minerals never caused itching or irritation or dryness.
I use the oil cleansing method to remove my makeup, and it removes this mineral makeup perfectly (olive oil & castor oil). Traditional cleansers and makeup removers should work as well.
If there was one improvement that could be made, it would be nice if Pur Mineral's 4-in-one pressed powder foundation could come in more shades. I purchased the lightest shade (porcelain), as I am fair with cool undertones, but I am not quite THAT fair. This shade looks natural on me, but maybe if I blended it with the light shade, it might be closer to my actual skin color. And also the vitamin A in this foundation (and in the primer) is not best for your skin in daytime, as it increases your skin's sensitivity to the sunlight, but it probably did help my skin condition and there is there is some SPF in this product.
Overall I highly recommend this product and would buy it again, and even though I am trying other products now, I will probably come back to this.

This is a great foundation. You must use the brush (or one like it) they sell for it: the "chisel brush" as they call it. Trying to apply this foundation with any other implement is not going to get you any coverage whatsoever. If you use the brush, though, the coverage is quite impressive. One thing that I absolutely adore about this makeup is the fact that it doesn't "stick" to dry flakes. I used it while I was first beginning Epiduo (benzoyl peroxide + a retin-A derivative) treatments and my skin was horribly dry and flaky. This makeup was a miracle for me. It never irritated my skin or caused me to breakout and it made my skin look great. Sadly, since my acne has subsided and my skin has adjusted to the topical meds, my face has gotten super-oily and I've had to find a replacement (this makeup isn't that great at controlling oil).

Would not recommend this product if you have acne-prone skin. I developed white heads and cystic acne all over my forehead and cheeks... It was horrible and took months to heal. The packaging looks cheap and you don't get your money's worth for the amount of product you receive.
The only thing I liked about this foundation was the medium to full coverage. I will be going back to Bare Minerals.

I think that this foundation gives excellent coverage for a powder - which is rare in my experience. While I wish it had a little more coverage, you can't expect miracles from light powder foundations. I admit that I am partial to this product as I have sensitive skin. I went through 5 other foundations until I found one that didn't irritate or heat up my skin. I also like the strange almost stippling type of brush that is packaged with the product.

I got this powder as part of the new 4 in 1 Complexion Kit. There was nothing spectacular about this powder. When combined with the 4 in 1 liquid foundation the coverage was decent & the staying power was far better than Bare Minerals, even without the color correcting primer (which made my skin itchy when I tried it). However, I will not purchase this product again & I actually returned the entire kit. A few days after using the powder I noticed some oil build-up starting on the unused product, which never happens with my MAC mineral powder & I use that throughout the day. This powder I only applied in the morning & that was happening. I didn't want to imagine what would happen if I tried to use it to freshen up throughout the day, so back to Ulta it went.

After wearing BareMinerals for a year, I wasn't happy with how my skin looked. When I wore the makeup it tended to travel and also made me get bumps on my forehead along with causing my jawline to itch... anyway, this was the same price so I gave it a try and YES! It is AWESOME. It's good because you can either wear it very lightly or layer it on for better coverage. I never thought I'd switch from liquid to powder foundation permanently, but this is a keeper. My skin doesn't break out. And I bought a cheapie flat-headed brush to apply it, you don't have to buy their ridiculously priced one.

Did not like this product at all. Was a very hand powder and did not go on smoothly! The coverage was very weak!

Love love love this mineral makeup. I have tried everything, I am prone to acne and have sunspots, and this makeup covers perfectly, My skin has cleared up a lot since I began using this, and the best thing is it feels like I have nothing on. I have been using this for over a year, and wouldn't use anything else. Best mineral makeup.

Originally bought in Sept. 2011. At that time, it worked well and I had no problems with breakouts. Ran out of the product over the winter, and bought again in July 2012, after they changed their formula. Their formula changes include: increasing bismuth to the second ingredient on the list (up from the fourth spot), increasing titanium dioxide from 9 percent to 17 percent, and adding about 10 other new ingredients. I used to have almost perfect skin before July, but since July, I now have cystic acne. My face has NEVER looked like this. Painful red zits all over my chin and above my mouth + a whole series of whiteheads. Need to go to the dermatologist today to fix the problem. Please note, also, that this company is not a member of the Better Business Bureau.

I'm on my third compact of this,(the old formula) have been re-purchasing for about a year. Although I like it, this will be my last purchase of this product. I would like to find something more long lasting and moisturizing for the winter as this will definitely accentuate dry skin.
- compacts really do not give you enough product for the price! The price is 35$+tax for .28oz / 8grams. Even higher end foundations give more for this price
- too much packaging which gave the illusion of more product than the 4mm thick tin that's inside.
- wear daily and it will last less than 3 months, and honestly given that you will need to re-apply later in the day (it fades away quickly, especially if you're combination - oily) I would say it is pricey for what you get.
