Alterra is German drugstore chain Rossmann's inhouse brand of organic makeup and skincare. Although the packaging of this tiny makeup line isn't especially attractive and they really need to expand the colour offerings in general, their glosses are good value for money and definitely comparable to much pricier glosses in other organic makeup ranges.
Honey Rose is a shimmering pinky-beige nude tone. I have to be quite careful with nude lip shades as I have naturally highly pigmented lips that often distort lighter lipsticks and glosses, but this one works very well for me. Initially it went on quite frosty and my heart sank, but within minutes the gloss melded with my natural colour nicely and turned into a very flattering, slightly shimmery nude lip. No tackiness, no gritty glitter, this is totally wearable for work and should suit those who don't like Barbie-pornstar type glosses but still want that subtle shine that only glosses give. Pigmentation is very good, as is lasting power for such a cheap product. Thumbs up!
