I went in to purchase MAC studio fix foundation and was recommended to use this powder over it. When I first used it, I remember thinking to myself how "natural looking" this product is because I couldn't even feel it on my face..or tell that I was putting something on. I noticed that it took quite a few applications for SOMETHING to show up.
Over time, little to no product came out for it. I don't know if that's how all of the powders are or if I just got a sucky batch. It seems like over time, I was able to get less and less. Right now when I attempt to use it, NOTHING comes out. Even when I rub my fingers across it, NOTHING. I feel like the first layer may have dried off so I tried scraping it and all I got was a flakey mess afterwards. Kind of sad considering how pricey they are. I have about 75% left. So sad.
Definitely will not be repurchasing.

I absolutely love this powder. I use it over top of my liquid foundation, usually as a setting powder. It gives the most natural looking finish. I would say its light coverage, probably buildable to medium coverage. I apply this with an elf powder flat top kabuki brush and I just pat it I'm and then buff it out slightly. Medium Plus is the perfect shade for my NC25 skin tone. At first I didn't think I was going to like this because it has the slightest bit of shimmer in it. But once applied the shimmer isn't noticeable at all. I haven't had any breakouts from this. The only reason I took off a lippie is because I feel like it doesn't have the best staying power. I feel like after 4 hours or so I need to reapply. But overall it's an amazing powder and I'm thoroughly impressed. I would repurchase and recommend in a heartbeat.

I have been using this product for a long time now. I use it over my liquid foundation. It makes my skin look so smooth and my makeup will last all day (doesn't sink in). It doesn't block my pores or break me out. My daughter came home and mentioned how great this powder was so I bought her one too!!

I love this sooooo muccccch ! It's those items that can give you a light coverage or a full coverage . Yes it's on the pricier side but trust me it's perfect !

This is my HG powder! I absolutely love it. I use my MAC 182 brush to buff it over my liquid foundation and works really well! My makeup doesn't melt off in the middle of the day anymore after using this. I recommend to have one of the MAC employees match your shade for you - they willingly did it for me and I couldn't have asked for a better match to my skin. GREAT product!

My HG powder for over 2 years now. I use this to set my foundation or tinted moisturizer. It also works by itself to give a little coverage all on its own. What sets this apart from other powders for me is that famous skin like glow the MAC MSFN imparts. So lovely. It never looks cakey or obvious. I use the Ecotools finishing brush and only need a very small amount to set my whole face. It doesn't make me oily or dry me out. I avoided this powder for years because it contains one of my skin's absolute least favorite ingredients, Isopropyl Palmitate. Thankfully, I have no issues with this powder breaking me out. It is a little pricey, but I will get at least 2 years out of one compact so I don't have a problem with the cost. I also wish there was a mirror included in the compact. I have repurchased this in my summer shade. I am about NC30 and medium plus works great for me (started out using this in Light for winter NC15 skin).

I like this powder but it's pretty standard I don't think you can really go wrong in powders because they don't have very much coverage but I like this one because it gives my skin dimension and it doesn't make me look like I'm wearing any of makeup. I would buy it again because it looks a little better than other powders on my skin but I don't think that buying a drugstore powder would be that big of a difference.

I'm abit obsessed with MAC products and i love this product in particular. Firstly the product lasts you for ages and makes skin look matte with a healthy glow at the same time. I use this after foundation to set it and it works really well especially if you buff it into the skin. I would recommend this to everyone who wears a full face of make up as i do and as a whole with it my skin looks really good (i dont have good skin without make up).

When I first bought this I loved it! It covers very nicely and was a perfect match for my skin. However, after a few weeks of using it I started to have really bad acne. I would keep using it to cover it up and it just got worse! I finally decided to use a different powder and within days my face was clearing up. Ever since I stopped using the mac powder all over my face my face is finally clear again. This was my first mac product I have used for the face. I know some people say they breakout from mac products and some do not. If you have used mac products for the face before I would say give it a try because it really does have a beautiful effect! Also, maybe just use it for special occasions if you want a flawless look. Using it everyday may have been my mistake. Since it is such a good product I found use out of it by using it over my concealer. Overall, it was a good product when it was on but once I washed my face I hated seeing the breakouts it caused!

There's nothing I love more than venturing out and having a super splurge on makeup, that I wouldnt normally buy, or I know I shouldnt buy. While I have a lot of MAC makeup (definatly a guilty pleasure of mine), I have many similar products to the mineralized skin finish, so it was a splurge to me! I picked up MAC's famous Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder last year, for around $26.50. I use it frequently; it definitely wasn't a waste of money, but it didn't live up to my expectations. MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Powders are often used as setting powders for makeup, but can be used as a light foundation when applied wet (best to use MAC's Fix+ for this). I prefer using it as a setting powder, as I find it gives very little coverage when attempting to use it as a foundation; I like medium-heavy coverage, so if you're looking for something light and natural, you'd love this. The main reason I like this powder, is because it has lasted me absolutely ages! There's barely a dent made in the pan, and I've had it for at least 8 months. I love the packaging; it's simple and sturdy. It doesn't get too worn out and it's able to take a good beating amongst other makeup bag essentials. It's good to use as a setting powder, mainly because of the colour and glow it gives. It makes your skin look healthy and fresh, and keeps your foundation and concealer in place nicely. However, if you have oily-combination or dry-combination skin this doesn't work too well! I find that after an hour, my t-zone is incredibly oily again (especially around my nose) and the powder clings to the few dry spots on my face, and starts flaking off making me look all scaley (especially on and around my chin). I use a mattifying, translucent powder on my t-zone and apply this everywhere else on my face. I find this works alright applied over translucent powder, so it's ideal to pop into my handbag for touch-ups throughout the day. It's a fantastically light powder; suiting fair skin well - unlike a lot of powders out there claiming to be "porcelain", when in fact they make me look orange! It works best applied with a synthetic brush, also. Overall, it's a great powder, it just doesn't suit my skin type. Even after moisturizers for oily-combination skin and using a high end primer, it still doesnt seem to work out for me. It's 100% worth the money; probably one of the best MAC products I own, price-wise. If you're fair skinned and you have a normal skin time (not super oily or super try) and you happen to be looking for a nice powder for Summer, make sure to try this. I am very bummed it doesnt work well on my skin- however I am working on it! It is really hard to find products for my skin- because I dont have one spicifc 'type' of skin. I have a mild-oily T zone, a very dry chin and sometimes nose, normal cheeks. I try to even out the type and tone by using certain products on different parts of my face, but after a while it just becomes too much! So i will keep this in my arsenal of products and hang onto it until I can manage and get a hold of my skin type a little better. Usually when we are in transition of the different seasons, is when it seems to really act up. After a while and when the shift is over with, is when it seems to get a little better.
Overall, this product may not suit my skin right now, but I still love.and plan on using this product in the future. I would reccomend this product to any woman who is looking for a high end setting powder, with an excellent price to go with it. I love that this powder comes in different shades. One of my favorite setting powders (which just so happens to be E.L.F. brand, and pretty cheap) comes in translucent ONLY! I thought that all of them only came in translucent, which ended up being wrong. The translucent works well, but when your being photographed, there is a white cast that appears all over your face, when you are in pictures. Because Mac has shades to choose from, this is no longer a problem. Anyway. Its an excellent product, it suits many different shades and tones of women. I also love that MAC has a super flexible return policy- if you happen to dislike the product, or for some reason it just doesnt work for you, they will always take ot back and either exchange it for something else, or give you a full refund. This is very important to me, I will not shop anywhere where their return policy isnt 100% flexable, because of how hard it can be to get products that suit me and look good at the same time! I give this 5 lippies... it may not have worked out for me, but the product is exceptional... and I will reccomend it over and over!
