I wasn't sure if I would like this due to the mixed reviews. I got lucky because I absolutely love it! The colors are all so gorgeous. Yes, they are shimmery (a couple glitters) but some of us like shimmery colors! I had little to no fallout with a primer (UDPP) and was able to create several beautiful looks using this. This really is similar to Japanese eye shadows in the texture of it. I've found that the best way to apply is with your fingers or a sponge tip applicator and pat it on (don't swipe.) If you like only matte shades, then run from this.

I REALLY wanted to love this. :( I like the sturdy yet sleek packaging, and the colors are so beautiful to look at. I also love how Too Faced gives you the picture cards with guidelines on how to create specific looks with the palette. But this palette was overall just a huge disappointment, in my opinion. The shades which looked so vibrant had very little color payoff on my eyelids. All it gave me was a sheer wash of color with glitter that fell all over my face and got in my eyes. & I tried a variety of eyeshadow primers underneath. The shadows seemed to irritate my eyes as well, and I do not have sensitive eyes. I switch between wearing contacts & glasses. The included eyeliner made my eyes extremely irritated & watery, & I have never had this issue with any other eye makeup product, ever. I can't imagine wearing it with my contacts, as it was getting in my eyes & clouding my vision with glasses on. I'm sure with contacts in it would have been even worse. This palette is very overpriced for the quality of the products in contains. I did like the Too Faced shadow insurance (eyeshadow primer.) This is to date the ONLY product I have ever returned to Sephora.

This was the first Too Faced palette that I ever bought and it's still one of my favorites. I have sensitive eyes so I am always a little wary buying a new brand but this one does not make my eyes itch even with the shimmer and tiny glitters! I take it with me when I travel because there is a look for every outfit in here. I love bright colors and shimmery shades (on my eyes but not my face) but I'm not a huge fan of glitter (it. gets. everywhere.)- and this palette is perfect. If applied correctly, there is very little fallout. I use a matte nude primer for day looks as it will tone down the color payoff, and for intensifying the look I use a coordinating colored primer (or colored eyeliner works too) and dab and press on the shadow with an eyeshadow sponge rather than using a brush and then blending with my shading brushes. I love the versatility! The liner it comes with is super creamy and lasts all day once it sets. You can smudge it after applying but after it sets, it doesn't budge and I live in a very hot and humid region and have oily skin. The only thing I don't like about the liner is it's not a really fine point, and I usually have to sharpen it for each use because of its creamy consistency- it seems to deposit more product than a pencil with a firmer texture. It is a very vibrant black though, which I like.

I had been eyeing this palette for a while, but was hesitant to pull the trigger due to the mixed reviews. I typically wear either purple, brown, or black eyeshadows, so this was perfect for me. Ulta having 20% off on Too Faced is what made me finally commit to purchasing. I don't regret purchasing it at all, but I see why some people are unsatisfied with it. I definitely am not one for a natural look (for reference, I would NEVER purchase UD's Naked palette). If you enjoy getting all dolled up, this won't disappoint.

After reading so many reviews of this palette stating that it was much to shimmery, I was reluctant to buy, and considering this palette could not be found in Aus I could really only go off online reviews and swatches. However the purples in this palette kept calling my name, so I caved in and bought it. Contrary to many of the reviews i have read I personally do not find this palette to be completely full of shimmer shadows. Yes it is shimmery but there are also a few metallic finishes which personally I find more wearable then full on shimmer. I love the texture of these shadows, they are so creamy that they almost look wet in the pan. One of the main things I love about this palette is that the shadows can be used wet or dry, depending on which you chose will determined the overall look of how these shadows look on your eyelids. I personally love the texture of this palette much more then I like urban decays shimmer shadows. I don't find these shadows at all muddy like urban decays. The only downfall I can find is the lack of matte eyeshdows! The only way of getting a professional looking eye is to mix these shadows with some matte from other palettes or brands. Substituting matte colors is not a problem for me, let's face it we all have a million other eyeshadow laying around. Of course this palette is not an everyday palette, it is not safe for work and I personally would not wear this during the day. In my opinion this is a clubbing or night out palette. So when thinking of buying this palette I think you really need to to decide if it fits all your purposes. Please don't buy this thinking you will be able to wear it everyday or be able to make a complete look with it. You will be disappointed if you purchase it for those reasons, but if you are looking for a glam palette that will take you through the night then look no further, you will not be disappointed .

The palette also comes with a mini primer (not my favorite) and an waterproof eyeliner. The eyeliner worked wonderfully on the lash line but I did not find that it stayed on my wet line very well.

I wanted to love this palette so much but in the end I returned it. There were a few gems in the bunch and it's a shame that some of the colors barely had any color payoff and made my eyes itchy from the fallout. I feel if the palette contained less shimmer bombs ( I didn't spot much glitter just shimmer) this palette would have worked out better, do'nt get me wrong though I love a little pizzazz in my eye shadow, but maybe 3 of the colors were hard to work with even when used wet. It came with a very smooth eyeliner though and I might purchase that separately in the future.

The palette itself is absolutely beautiful. The pencil and primer are perfection. However, like many people say, the palette is too shimmery. I am a shimmer lover, so I expected to LOVE this palette. However, the texture of the shadows were really gritty, and some were powdery. There are a few that claim that these shadows are like "asian shadow" texture. I disagree because asian shadows tend to feel much more buttery even more than the ones in the UD Naked palette. All in all, I was not very impressed by the shadows although I must admit they look quite nice on the eyes. There was too much fall out, so this sucker went back to Sephora.

I went back and forth before I bought this palette, as it got lots of mixed reviews. Some said it was glitter-glitter-glitter, and sad memories of disco-ball glitter fallout from TF's glitterbomb Nude Beach (in the Natural Eye palette) danced in my head. Others said the pigmentation left a lot to be desired. Well, I'd been looking for a palette that had a mix of warm and cool neutrals AND some colors thrown in. A full-sized liner and TFSI? Add to that this gorgeous, sexy black-and-gold box, the Lancome-riffing (or perhaps rip-off?) arrangement of the colors, and some pretty-pretty-pretty purples?! Okay, I give.

Am I happy I did? Happy is an understatement. Not only am I thrilled by the pigmentation, but the reports of Ke$sha glitter are greatly exaggerated. (Of course, glitter is in the eye of the beholder) The darkest brown shade is, in fact, so pigmented that I used waaaay too much at first. The browns, golds and bronzes in this palette are some of the most beautiful I've ever used. Mind you, there is not a matte shade to be found in the bunch. They are all shimmery and glittery. I'm sure this isn't for everybody. If you work in a law office or a bank, this is not your daytime palette. But if are someone who likes to have fun with makeup, and are able to in your work; or if you're looking for a great nighttime or vacation palette, this is fantastic.

A few other things: the shadow primer is really one of the best in the industry. I use TF's Glitter Glue on my browbone to make the glitter in the highlight colors stick better. The eyeliner is the blackest blackety black and it's so soft I made a huge mess when I first used it. I had to put in the fridge to even sharpen it; that wasn't even enough, now it's in the freezer. Yup, seriously. I'm not a big black pencil liner fan, so I haven't taken the time to try to work with it, but it's a real beee-yach. I'd use the slot the liner came in for a makeup brush if I ever traveled with it.

let me preface this by saying that I have a lot of e/s. I in no way needed another palette, but I don't have any colors like this. Some are saying that they e/s feels gritty. I didn't notice that at all. I did see a small amount of fall out on some of the super shimmery shades. I'm wearing the daytime "Icon" colors today and let me tell you, my green eyes are POPPING! The eyeliner is amazing, the colors are gorgeous and smooth, extremely blendable as well and the pan sizes are very generous for the price compared to UD's naked. This did come with a small eye primer, but I'm not a fan. I much prefer UD's primer potion. I'm extremely happy with this purchase!

I have been lemming the LM Artist's Palette, but seeing that I do own the UD Naked 1 & 2 e/s palettes and Inglot palettes filled with matte shades, I decided to skip it. I remember looking at Lancome's Color Design palettes and loving them but I couldn't shell out the $. I ran into this palette the other day and was surprised at how similar it looked to the Lancome palettes. I don't own any of the other eyeshadow palettes by Too Faced so I cannot compare this it's sister sets but I really loved this palette. The colors are beautiful and they all work well with my skin tone/hair color. They are silky smooth and feel like butter to the touch. I applied one day look the last three days at work and I receieved a bunch of compliments on my eye make-up. Now, here;s the deal - these do have shimmer to them. Primarily, the lid color and the liner color. But it doesn't bother me because I do like shimmer. It depends on your personal taste. They also include metallics. The packaging is also very sturdy which I appreciate. Look into this palette if you like the color scheme. Golds and bronzes in the first set, purples and pink tones in the second set, and taupes and grey tones in the last set. Definitely swatch before you buy - for those of you girls that prefer matte looks, you may not be too into this but you won't know until you swatch! HTH. For ref: NC40 skintone, Black hair, light brown eyes.

I wanted this to work, I really did. But I can't past the texture of these shadows. The best word I can use to describe it is 'gritty'. I feel like they swatch beautifully on the hand, but on my lids, the texture is apparent and looks gritty/textured.

I gave this my best shot, but I'm returning it.

It's a great product! all the colors are nice! you have to be careful of fallout though, but the quality of the shadows is worth it. Great for any type of look-very versitile. A couple matte shades and that's all you'll need for eyeshadow ever!

Well, this palette is ok for me. I'm nc45 for ref and the colors do show up just very sheer and super shimmery. I like this palette but I wouldn't buy again bc of the pigmentation being so sheer. I love the eyeliner!!! One of the best if not the best eyeliner I've tried. Word of advice...be prepared to scrub the eyeliner off bc once it sets it won't budge being that its truly water proof. Love the liner!!!! Very black. The palette gets a 3 in my book bc sometimes I do want a wash of color on my lids, it's just super shimmery.

BACKSTORY:
I had been palette shopping for over a week and had my choices narrowed down to: said palette, LORAC Pro Palette, Laura Mercier Artist’s Palette, or the Too Faced Bon Bons Palette. I spent many hours reading reviews, beauty blogs, and watching youtube videos to determine which two of these palettes was going to be best for me. My most important “desires” for these palettes would be the color range, the texture (buttery), and easy portability (that does rule lots of great palettes out). I finally decided on the LORAC PRO palette and the LM Artist’s palette, only after reading many a review about the “Bringing Sexy Back” palette and deciding that the texture would NOT be my cup of tea. I read that many of them were hard to apply, chalky, and even required using a sponge tip applicator. The horror! I was so disappointed! I loved the colors but I needed the color payoff on my lids. Sadly, I really made the wrong choice getting the LM palette instead of this. (See my review for the LM Artist’s Palette – I am now definitely returning it.)

PALETTE:
I just purchased this palette today. I saw this beautiful palette in person at Sephora and saw the HUGE dips in the shadows of the palette they had on display. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I tested them, and lo-and-behold most of them were just as soft and buttery as I hoped! I haven’t had a chance to try each and every one, but I think I will definitely be happy to spend the rest of the week doing just that. The shadows are shimmery, and that is ok with me. I like shimmer, don’t like glitter (there is a small amount of micro-glitter in a few shades, but I don’t see it being a huge fall-out problem). I think when used in conjunction with a matte shadow or two (like half the shadows in my LORAC PRO palette), shimmer is beautiful and can be work appropriate. Shimmers are also nice to dress up very matte looks with just a bit in the inner corner or outer V of your eye. Anyway, I’m no MUA, so I’ll stop with the makeup tips.

LINER:
I also initially purchased the Too Faced Perfect Eyes liner in black along with the two palettes I had decided on, which I should have just taken as my clue to save myself some money and just get this palette which includes that liner. The liner is $18 by itself! But, since I now have another one of these which is un-opened, I shall return that as well. I am really loving the liner; I purchased the Storm color along with the “Sexy” palette today, and I’m planning to put other colors on my x-mas list. It’s great for tight-lining, but I have heard it doesn’t work for people who wear contacts. Beware, Contact Wearers!

PACKAGING:
Packaging on this palette is very sturdy – but I wouldn’t throw it against a wall. It’s thick, hard plastic -- not cheap cardboard or cardboard covered fabric. Also has a large mirror and eye look cards that come with it. The cards stow away in a little compartment behind the mirror, for easy access and storage. The tray for the eyeliner could easily be converted to store a brush for more portability.

Overall:
I think I am really going to love this palette. I have heard that many people don’t like the newer Too Faced shadow formulas, but I think that I am becoming a Too Faced fan. I think I may just add the Bon Bons palette to my x-mas list as well….

I had been eyeing this palette ever since I saw that Sephora had finally stocked it, and it was sold out for a couple of weeks. When i finally saw that they had it back in stock, I grabbed one and bought it. I just love the shimmery colors in this palette. They are easy to blend on the eye and are very pigmented, except for a couple of the lighter glittery ones. You can make some very dramatic looks, or just a suble wash of color with the shadows in this palette. The colors last all day on me with eyeshadow primer. I really love the packaging too. It closes with the most sturdy click and feels very sturdy. Also, when you have the lid up, it stays in position. This palette also comes with a very black eyeliner that I have not tried yet, but am meaning to. All in all, a great purchase!

This is everything I hoped the Naked Palettes 1 and 2 would have been! Try as I might I just can't make them work for me. But the Return of Sexy palette is my new all purpose home and travel e/s go to.

I love that Too Faced gives you 3 distinct color groups (browns, purples and grays) with 5 shadows in each group. The colors are beautiful and apply nicely and (here's my usual problem) blend exquisitely. I don't have an issue with the colors muddying up nor am I left with harsh distinct color placement.

I really nice bonus is that the grays/silvers really work for my coloring which is something I often have a hard time with.

I have other Too Face e/s palettes that I love for travel because they apply well and quickly and don't take a lot of work to get a nice professional look but they are a tad boring. So glad I bought this on a whim.

I am in love with this palette. I usually like Too Faced palettes but this one seems to be the best quality of all. The shadows are SO pigmented. The packaging is a sturdy plastic which I like especially if I'm going to travel with it. It also has a large mirror inside. It comes with a mini primer and a fabulous and also very pigmented black waterproof "Perfect Eyes" liner. There are 3 "sets" of 5 shadows each. "Ingenue" which includes warm brown and gold shades, "Icon" which includes pinks and smoky purples and "Bombshell" which gives us the smokey eye look including silvers, dark grey and black. All shadows are shimmery, but not glittery---so no fallout worries. The only shade I found to be more of a satin finish was the highlight color "pink diamond" in the purple/pink set.
Overall I think this palette is a great value for the money; you get so many looks and such great quality. I can't say enough how pigmented the shades are, they look good even when I don't apply primer potion. I'm thrilled I bought this.

I have been wanting a palette that has nice purple colors in it for a while so that is what drew me to this int he first place. I also have been wanting to experiment with gray/blues, but havent found any of those colors that did not completely scare me. I really like that this palette had coordinated shades so it takes guess work out of using shadows that dont work well with each other. I am not very good with eye shadow colors and I really rely on SA's and coordinated palettes and sets to help me on this aspect. I love that I got some nice purples and blue/grays in this but I can always use the neutral gold colors. I am NC37 and the neutrals lose a lot of their brashness on my skin tone-in a good way! I feel that this palette is definitely work-appropriate for me. The shimmer doenst translate as over the top on my either. There are a few shadows with obvious glitter, but for some reason they just look shimmery when applied. I would describe the shades in here as metallic, and some are glittery, but not overly so. And they are so well-coordinated that the looks they suggest really work and can be made to suit an office. There are additional 'night-time' looks for those that are more daring. I feel this palette has something for everybody in it. I am in to neutral colors myself and would describe myself as more in the "Bobbi Brown make-up style." Yes- I am a tad shy of brighter colors on my eyes because I dont feel they look as good on me as everybody else! But I adore this palette and feel that it will serve me better than the TF Matte eye or Naked Eye, or UD Naked, all of which I own. I could see someone that likes bolder eye looks really being happy with this as well.
The packaging is a nice plastic case with a nice clear top to embellish it. I really cant wait to go through all of the little cards, and use some of the shadows on their own with other matte shades. Not only do I feel this is a great palette on its own, I also feel that the shadows can be mixed into my other eye looks, which for the most part or matte neutrals.

I saw this in an e-mail from Sephora and *had* to have it. For $48, you get 15 decent sized eye shadows, an e/l and a small tube of TFSI. Not too shabby!

Once it arrived, I was impressed with the shade ranges. There are 5 warm/bronze shades, 5 pinkish/mauve/purple shades, and 5 black/white/gray-ish shades. TF included instruction cards, which you can easily pull out (unlike their other cardboard palettes, where I've had to yank and nearly rip the packaging to pull the cards out), that make it easy to place the colors if you're not feeling creative.

The only downside to this palette is that it's VERY shimmery. Every shadow is shimmery, and a few are over-the-top shimmery. It's not glittery, but I'd say that if you aren't a big shimmer fan, you might want to pass on this palette. The colors are very pigmented, though, and blend easily, so if you can get past the shimmer, this is a good value.

I don't use TFSI and have tons of e/l already, so for me personally, those weren't really necessary, but if you are looking to try them, they're a good bonus.

Overall I like this, but I can only use it on the weekends, as this shimmer isn't very office-friendly. It's fun. If TF had made some of the shadows matte or satin instead of shimmery, this might even be the *one* palette I'd bring on vacation since the color range is awesome.
