Like the Softbox Palette, I like it but I don't love it...

9 shadow shades, 7 shimmery 2 matte, and 2 liners make up this palette.
I do LOVE the shadow colours - it really is a stunning and versatile mix, although there is one little thing that really annoys me: there's a shadow called "nude" which is also in the Softbox palette, but it is a DIFFERENT COLOUR. How exactly can one maker make the SAME shade be so inconsistent? Not impressed.

Like the Softbox, I find the shadows pretty inconsistent in pigmentation and fallout - some are fantastic and highly pigmented, and others are more sheer and there's a lot of fallout, which is incredibly annoying. That said, all shades are a nice texture and easily blended...

The liners are a bit strange though - they're actually far too soft to use as liners, but they do work decently as sort of creme shadows.

Packaging on this palette is... meh, although the brush that comes with it is actually quite good. I really like the look of it overall, but I hate that it's card - it looks very dirty very fast, and that's coming from someone who takes nearly obsessive care of her stuff. I'm not sure what I think of the magnetic close - it's effective, but I definitely prefer a tighter close on a palette. As for cost, I got it on ebay for a good price, so no complaints there.

Bottom line - would I repurchase? Nope. I'll be looking for singles of my favourite shades, or dupes/similar shades from UD - I've been way more impressed with their shadows overall.

This is one of those sleeper hits from summer 2012. Love this palette - amazing quality shadows! Great for neutral or bright eyes. I am not a huge fan of the cream liners so I could have done with either some cake liner or two more liner e/s shades instead. I think if they had done this, it would have sold better.

Great summertime palette. This is a very versatile palette, and some of the colors such as Pacific and Sherbert are brighter than I'm used to, however they are beautiful on. As a matter of fact I love all the shades. There isn't a bad one in the bunch. I really think Smashbox eyeshadows are high quality, so easy to blend. Great value w/all the shadows, 2 liners in beautiful gold or bronze, double ended brush and primer. Love the whole thing.
