Sooo slimey, like washing in snail trails. And ugh the taste of this: if it gets close to your mouth, made me gag...and it doesn't go away. It actually made me feel like I was going to yak and I am not prone to that. Also not sure it takes off my makeup that well but I do oil cleanse first however some residue remained anyway so did it do ANYTHING at all besides make me feel sick?


I would never subject a poor baby to this stuff as it says on the bottle. If it ever got close to their poor mouth, they would be screaming!

I recently ordered this cleanser online after reading all the great reviews and unfortunately it wasn't meant for me. I have only used it twice and i had to stop because it dried the hell out of my face! It was so bad, I couldn't even wear foundation for the next couple of days because my skin was so flaky. I couldn't imagine using that on a babys face... seriously, safe for baby too? I don't think so....

I was expecting a lot more from a cleanser made from a lady whose life revolves around skin care! I don't recommend this cleanser.. Now I have to pay for it to get shipped back to get my refund.

This was just way too much of a hassle.. booo

I started using this a little over a month and a half ago along with the other products from the Earth Sourced line, and I loved them. They were gentle, almost completely natural, and left my skin feeling soft and healthy. I used to have very bad acne and went on medication to help. When my skin cleared, I went off the medication and haven't needed it since. Now, after using this cleanser for over a month, I have small bumps on the sides of my cheeks and my skin (especially my nose) is very red and constantly flaky. I think for less sensitive skin, this would be a great skincare system, but after a while I feel as though this cleanser is a very expensive, mostly natural, plain old cleanser. Not bad, but not good, for me at least.

After battling with cleansers for what seems like an eternity, I finally found an excellent cleanser! I am 22 with combination skin whereas my chin is prone to breakouts. As this doesn't nessessarily help with healing my breakouts, it is an amazing cleanser for my sensitive skin as well as getting rid of makeup and it makes my skin very soft. I cleanse my face twice daily with this (morning/night). At night, I will cleanse with this, and then follow with Paula's BHA 2% gel (which DOES help breakouts fyi).

I've been a skincare junkie for 15 years (since suffering cystic acne as a teen) and now work in the industry -- and this is one of the best cleansers I've used. It's silky and foams up well, removes most makeup, has no offensive or irritating fragrance, and it contains zero harmful ingredients. (Most of the "gentle" drugstore cleansers still contain sulfates, parabens and formaldehyde-releasing preservatives.)

I would've loved to have given this 5 stars except that it's a little too drying / foaming for my normal skin, especially in the Chicago winter. I added 2 tablespoons of jojoba oil to the bottle for it to melt away all my makeup and be a little less drying, and that was a winning combination.

Superior gel cleanser. I couldn't care less about the natural ingredients and I don't like the smell of this (unfragranced) cleanser; however, it is extremely gentle/soothing as well as very effective at removing makeup and rinsing clean. The texture is a lot like aloe vera gel. (PC calls it "silky" though I would probably call it "slick.") Absolutely non-irritating, even when my skin is more reactive. Very low lather. A really nice formulation.

Update 23 February 2013: Still using and loving this face wash. One of the few products I've ever re-purchased.
I was using Simple's Refreshing Wash Gel before, but felt like it wasn't properly removing makeup so I decided to give this one a try, since I know that PC's cleansers are usually pretty thorough in that respect. I love it!!! It glides on effortlessly, lathers minimally and rinses off cleanly without leaving a film. It does remove oil and makeup very well and in the summer I have no need for an extra moisturizer (I have very oily skin). The only thing that I'm not too crazy about is the packaging and the scent, but those are just minor considerations that don't sway me away from loving this face wash! I find it less drying than PC's Skin Balancing Cleansing Gel, which is one that I also loved for my oily/combo/sensitive skin.

I have been using this cleanser for about a week now and I think I've finally found a cleanser that removes makeup and doesn't leave my combo/oily skin feeling dry or tight afterwards. This glides across skin effortlessly, and although it doesn't do anything for oil-control it also doesn't make my skin any more oily or shiny.

The fact that this is loaded with natural ingredients WITHOUT fragrant essential oils (which are found in pretty much all "green" beauty products) is another bonus. My skin doesn't handle added fragrance in face products very well. The cleanser does have a very faint herbal scent, but I find it pleasant and not overbearing at all.

I have not experienced any changes in terms of irritation or breakouts. This sells for around $16, and although I typically refuse to pay more for cleansers because they don'y have enough contact time with skin to actually do much, I will buy this again.

I've been using PC products for awhile, but I have to say that hands down, this is my favourite PC cleanser. It reminds me of the Xango Glimpse line's cleansing gel, which I purchased once but did not buy again due to the crazy prices. Anyway, Paula's Choice Earth Source Cleansing Gel has become a fast favourite of mine. I have combo/oily skin and it removes all oil and most makeup without drying out my skin. I love the scent - faintly herbal but not overpowering. Will definitely repurchase. Main gripe is that the bottle is this dark avocado green that looks very retro 70s and you get a relatively small amount compared to other PC cleansers, but this one is definitely a winner for me.

This is a lovely cleanser which is a pleasure to use. But I find it very similar to the Simple face wash gel which is a fraction of the price.I will treat myself to this occasionally but as far as value for money goes, the simple one wins.

i use this after pre-cleansing my face with Earth Science A-D-E Creamy Cleanser at nights and on its own in the mornings.
love the texture, love the earthy smell.
strong enough to remove oils and other impurities but gentle and kind on skin.
it rinses off clean and never feels dry and tight after cleansing.
my only gripe is that it is expensive in my country.

I love the way this cleanser feels : it glides over the skin so I can wash my face without pulling my skin in all directions (ALL CLEANSERS SHOULD GLIDE LIKE THIS ONE), it produces just a slight froth, cleanses and rinses without residue, doesn't overdry my skin, and a little goes a long way.


Although I'm not especially looking for product with a nice smell, I really like the smell of this one.


The sole thing I don't like is the cap : it would be better with a flat top cap (like PC's other cleansers new packaging) that would allow the bottle to be stored upside down, or another bottle with the opening at the bottom (so no waste of time waiting for the product to come off).


A godsend cleanser for my oily super sensitive skin :-D
